    Packaging to go order

Don't get me wrong, both inside and outside look like a hole in the wall but if you know good food, you know that hole in the wall restaurants have the BEST food. Top China is no exception. Their online ordering system is great and very easy to navigate. Although my food wasn't ready yet 45 minutes after ordering online, they still had it out pretty quick after I arrived (5 minutes to be exact). I can imagine they wait to make/prepare/plate the food until you get there so that it doesn't get cold. Their website is great and super easy to navigate. They also have a credit card surcharge of $.50 which is pretty disappointing but not a deal breaker. Good to know though!

The honey wings were my fave, the orange chicken and rice were also very good. I recommend ordering ahead and picking, otherwise you'll be waiting a good little bit (the food was hot though!) The only thing I absolutely did not like was the sweet tea...it had a stale, odd taste to it as if it was made with dirty water or something. Gross. Everything was great, will definitely return!

This is my new favorite place for Chinese Food. I have only been here once and I'm glad I went. All credit to my husband for finding a restaurant in Montgomery. We were on our way home from visiting my in-laws. I guess I should have called ahead to make sure they offered dine in but it's fine. They are only accepting take out. I'm not sure if they offer delivery. The restaurant is located in a shopping center but let the appearance fool you, everything I tried is delicious. I am extremely picky when it comes to fried rice and this place is the best I have ever had. I'm not exaggerating. I'm already planning my next visit. I ordered pork fried rice with bean sprouts, extra, extra, extra eggs. Yes, I love eggs in my rice and sadly this place does not add any eggs at all in their fried rice dishes. The fried rice is perfectly seasoned so no need to ask for the soy sauce packets. The egg rolls are also very good. I would highly recommend this place but be prepared to devour your food in your car if you're visiting from out of town or just starving and can't wait to get home. LOL

Fried rice and egg foo young

I had the lunch combo of pork egg, foo Young with an egg roll and fried rice. The egg roll is a cabbage roll. There's nothing else in it, but cabbage. See photo The fried rice was extremely greasy and nothing in it but a few onions, pork egg foo young was OK, but again, very very greasy. I would not eat here again.

The quality has decreased significantly. Very, very disappointing. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken, pork with Chinese vegetables, steamed dumplings, egg rolls, pork fried rice, shrimp lo mein, and pepper steak with onions (although I was given the wrong item). $72 later ... all of the items were excessively salty and had very little to no flavor except for the extremely heavy salt taste. This is the first time that their food was terrible. Hopefully this is an isolated case of a temporary chef who did a horrible job.

Best Chinese food ever every time I stop in Montgomery I have to get the sesame chicken as for Covid they had it set up where you place your orders outside but it's always worth the wait and service is good but the is even better.

On the left in teriyaki chicken with veggies and on the right is sesame chicken

The food is alright but if you're not into eating meat then I don't recommend it due to the high possibility of meat ending up in your food.

5+ STARS FOR THE WHARF CASUAL SEAFOOD - EASTCHASE!…read more Yesterday, we visited The Wharf Casual Seafood at EastChase in Montgomery, Alabama, to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and it turned out to be a wonderful birthday celebration. We arrived around 1:00 p.m. My daughter and I always enjoy ordering the fried green tomatoes and crab claws. We originally planned to order two individual servings of crab claws, but our waiter suggested that we order a pound instead because we would get more for our money. She was absolutely right! I was really surprised by the amount of crab claws we received. They were a little pricey, but everything is expensive these days, and most importantly, they were excellent and we received plenty! There were so many that the two of us couldn't finish them, so my daughter was able to take the rest home to enjoy later. The crab claws were cooked to perfection--crispy, flavorful, and delicious. The fried green tomatoes were just as good. They tasted like fried green tomatoes are supposed to taste! We even had some of those left over. My wife ordered the grilled white fish, greens, mashed potatoes, and other sides, and I could tell just by looking at her plate and watching her enjoy her meal that she was very pleased with everything. The service was exceptional. Our waiter was attentive and helpful, and I especially appreciated him recommending the pound of crab claws instead of simply allowing us to order two separate servings. That was good customer service. I very seldom give a restaurant a full five-star rating, but based on this visit, The Wharf Casual Seafood - EastChase gets 5+ stars from me! My daughter lives in Montgomery, while my wife and I live in Demopolis, Alabama. Before we left, I told my daughter, "I can't wait to come back!" Great food, great service, generous portions, and most importantly, a great birthday celebration with my family. The Wharf Casual Seafood - EastChase, we will definitely be back!

It seemed that the worker taking orders was also responsible for clearing tables. After standing in line for 15min, without moving and watching the worker who was trying to take orders stopping mid customer to clear a table, then rush back and still not finish taking the order before disappearing again, we decided this was probably not where we wanted to be. They finally pulled someone from the kitchen to take orders, but she repeatedly told the guy she didn't know what she was doing. As we were leaving we noticed half the restaurant was filled with dirty tables needing to be cleared.

I had the Lobster Spinach Queso, it was very flavorful. Was looking for more of a crunch to the chips, but otherwise very flavorful. I had the Chilean Sea Bass, w/ seasonal ancient grains and vegetables. The Chilean Sea Bass was also very flavorful, different than what I'm use to but delicious nonetheless. I believe the seasonal ancient grains and vegetables would have been better paired with some type of gravy or sauce. I also had (the best part of my meal) the 5 Layer Lemon Cake, with the blueberry topping...soooo good! The ambiance was light and celebratory! Kudos again to India! Shoutout also to her manager Chris!

I give FIVE STARS to Katie; our server buuuuut If you're the…read morechef reading this, take notes: The food was pretty damn awful Ahi Tuna was overcooked; the slaw stuff they put in the middle had a horrid after taste Wedge Salad was literally covered in Bleu Cheese dressing and the bacon bits were burnt, the one strip of bacon lazily laid on top was UNDERCOOKED, and it is definitely not worth the outrageous price you set on your menu. In fact none of it is. My date's steak although wrapped in bacon, was extremely salty. I had the Shrimp & Grits .. and man The andouille sausage was AMAZING. Shrimp was a bit tough. But the grits? The worse plate of grits I've ever had in my life. It was utter mush, which is okay if that's how you cook it but it's supposed to be cheese grits and I didn't taste anything cheese about it. No seasoning. Grease around the edges. I literally got a little nauseous looking at it after a while because I thought of how that would upset my stomach. No offense but if you're going to claim to be this fine dining restaurant, at least put out the quality in food.. Other than that the setting and environment was pretty chill. And also cold but that's okay, it is super hot outside. We will not be returning.
