Ordered here one evening. I could tell by the line outside that I was in for an experience. Although the line was long, inside the doors of the restaurant, everything went efficiently. I would not mind sitting down and eating inside because the vibe was really dope. I got the General Tso's Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, and Vegetable Lo Mein. Everything was excellent. It was so good that I saved half my meal for lunch the next day. In East Montgomery, this place should be a go-to for Chinese. read more

Don't get me wrong, both inside and outside look like a hole in the wall but if you know good food, you know that hole in the wall restaurants have the BEST food. Top China is no exception. Their online ordering system is great and very easy to navigate. Although my food wasn't ready yet 45 minutes after ordering online, they still had it out pretty quick after I arrived (5 minutes to be exact). I can imagine they wait to make/prepare/plate the food until you get there so that it doesn't get cold. Their website is great and super easy to navigate. They also have a credit card surcharge of $.50 which is pretty disappointing but not a deal breaker. Good to know though! read more

Food tastes like burnt plastic...second time in a row. The food didn't look good and the smell of burnt plastic made you not want to eat it

The honey wings were my fave, the orange chicken and rice were also very good. I recommend ordering ahead and picking, otherwise you'll be waiting a good little bit (the food was hot though!) The only thing I absolutely did not like was the sweet tea...it had a stale, odd taste to it as if it was made with dirty water or something. Gross. This is my new favorite place for Chinese Food. I have only been here once and I'm glad I went. All credit to my husband for finding a restaurant in Montgomery. We were on our way home from visiting my in-laws. I guess I should have called ahead to make sure they offered dine in but it's fine. They are only accepting take out. I'm not sure if they offer delivery. The restaurant is located in a shopping center but let the appearance fool you, everything I tried is delicious. I am extremely picky when it comes to fried rice and this place is the best I have ever had. I'm not exaggerating. I'm already planning my next visit. I ordered pork fried rice with bean sprouts, extra, extra, extra eggs. Yes, I love eggs in my rice and sadly this place does not add any eggs at all in their fried rice dishes. The fried rice is perfectly seasoned so no need to ask for the soy sauce packets. The egg rolls are also very good. I would highly recommend this place but be prepared to devour your food in your car if you're visiting from out of town or just starving and can't wait to get home. LOL read more

For a random stop after a trip to 30A this place was phenomenal! I was craving Chinese takeout food and this place exceeded all expectations. Remember this is a hole in the wall and not a fancy place but don't let that fool you.. the food was super tasty, portions were more than generous and the staff was very helpful. The quality has decreased significantly. Very, very disappointing. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken, pork with Chinese vegetables, steamed dumplings, egg rolls, pork fried rice, shrimp lo mein, and pepper steak with onions (although I was given the wrong item). $72 later ... all of the items were excessively salty and had very little to no flavor except for the extremely heavy salt taste. This is the first time that their food was terrible. Hopefully this is an isolated case of a temporary chef who did a horrible job. read more

Have gone there for about a year. Service has gone down. When they omitted items they just said sorry and did nothing to remedy. They also changed cooks or recipes. I was looking for something good to eat on a Friday night and stumbled onto this place. There was a line down the street! I looked up the number and called in an order, waited for the line to get smaller and came to the realization that I was going to stand in line in the cold irregardless of how long I waited. Interesting they don't take your name, they just give you a number that you have to remember. The price was really good and the portions generous. I had the sweet and sour chicken and it came with fried rice and an egg roll, so good. The take home containers were really nice, definitely good for left overs. Ps. I didn't look at the menu before I ordered.....IT'S HUGE! I have it on my list to try their mooshoo pork which many small places don't have. Filthy front of house, including toilets. Wife got cashew chicken and it had about three cashews in it She was supposed to have gotten fried rice. We're not sure what the rice was. Plenty of vegetables on it. She has a strong ability to ferret out MSG and it was one of the first things she noticed. I got sesame shrimp, broccoli with white rice. The plate was full and meal was okay. I am highly sensitive to MSG and left the restaurant with a burgeoning headache and building irritation in my gut. It's not going to be a good night. I was on a business trip staying at a hotel near by. I found this place because of the Montgomery County sheriffs dept. I saw them parked in front of the restaurant, and as I got closer, saw them getting carry out food. If there is one thing I've learned in my travels, it is eat where local law enforcement eats - they know! I was not disappointed. I got the usual hot and sour soup to test the bench mark. It was excellent. I wanted to go back the next day, but had to leave town earlier than they opened. I will be trying more menu options the next time in town. The other reviewers got it right. They were constantly busy taking phone and walk in orders. My order was done very quickly of course because of what I ordered. There were orders smoothly coming out of the kitchen and it was quite entertaining to watch the many cooks flying around the open kitchen. We decided to give this place a try because it was in close proximity to the hotel we were staying. We ordered from the lunch specials and it was definitely worth the price. I've had Chinese food from other places and I always compare it to what I was used to in Hawaii. This place comes the closest to the taste that I'm used to. I ordered the shrimp and broccoli and I must say that the shrimp huge and not the small itsy bitsy shrimp you'd get from other places. I'll place will definitely be in take out rotation read more

Great cheap Chinese and easy to make vegan. They do t use Fish Sauce and they don't put eggs in their fried rice.

I called my order in, lady at front got it wrong so I waited extra 20 minutes. The lunch special is 5.25. She charged me 6.60 for cash but when she saw card, she said $6.80. Other people who ordered same dish charged 5.80. Took her sweet time giving me my food after cooks eat it at front. I get my vegetarian chinese take-out from here when I travel to Montgomery for work and stay at the enjoyable nearby Holiday Inn Express. There are many vegetarian options, although most are meat, and the taste is great. The food is SO cheap that you can order a couple of items and make your own hotel-room buffet, if you feel like pampering yourself. Food is fresh, hot, delicious and ample. Egg drop soup is not vegetarian, but the staff can direct you to other options. Call ahead and by the time you drive over it is ready, as they cook quickly. There are able tables there, but most people just use them to wait for their carry out. You can see into the kitchen a bit from the ordering area, and it always looks clean and organized!
