4/13/19 Not happy at all with how my ped came out. The lady was very nice but did a really terrible job. Update 4/15/19 after I posted my review I was contacted by the owner and was told to please come back to fix it. Today I did. I'm a stay at home mom who doesn't have a chance to get pedis very often. But to find a place that takes pride in fixing mistakes is hard to find. When I came in the nice lady at the front listened to my concerns and very professionally agreed to fix it right away. They did look for my ticket, which is ok since I'm sure they get people that try to get free services. A nice manicurist redid my pedi. They recommend to choose a new color which was fine. Update 04/01/19: Katie does it again!! I was hesitant to get almond shaped nails but Katie said it would look good on me. After getting them done the first time, I loved them and did it again. I absolutely love the recommendations Katie gives me and advice for my nails because I'm so indecisive! She's the best nail manicurist to go to for dip powder. Then she left to go get colors , then she went on to cut my cuticles all crazy ! SHE CUT ME TWICE , and said oh I didn't see then she didn't even clean the nail like she was supposed to! I had stuff under my nails that she didn't even try to fix then she was talking to the nail lady next to her and I know she was talking about me because she literally pointed at me during her conversation!! SO ANNOYING AND UNPROFESSIONAL!! (All cause of color that hasn't even been painted on yet !) Then I went for my pedicure and the next lady she had she messed up too then got mad and clipped the customers nails off all crazy !!! I've been going to Top City for a while and have been satisfied with all the services they've provided in the past. I didn't see too many familiar faces this time and the staff wasn't very warm or welcoming. The nail tech must have asked me about 5 times if I wanted gel and after declining for the 5th time she finally proceeded to give me my package options. First time I've had a regular pedicure there. I decided to spare myself the UV exposure! I picked my option, from there on out she seemed rushed and couldn't wait to finish. Mind you it was early Monday morning, so there was no one waiting. There was absolutely no spa experience here. Finally got out of there. Went home ran errands. Two hours later I put my sneakers on to hit the gym, fast forward, my socks were stuck to my nail polish on both big toes. I called and advised I'd be going back in Tuesday after work. Tuesday I step back in the salon and was told to sit in the back in an empty spa chair, after explaining why I was there. i waited about 10 minutes, while the nail techs are looking at me confused and conversing with one another. Until finally they ask me why I'm sitting in an empty chair. Apparently the salon manager/owner forgot to tell them why I was there... or didn't! After going back and forth as to what color I had for about another 10 minutes and the nail tech telling me I should write down my color next time (which I do when I get gel or a more expensive service). I didn't think my polish would be ruined so quickly! I finally decided to tell them to please remove the color. Which they obliged to without offering any apologies, they were just as happy to see me go as I was to leave. Sadly, I don't think I'll be returning. read more

Everyone is great but her! I wanted a simple white ombré acrylic nails. The girl at the front told her pink/white ombré . Idk if she knew the difference but she pulled out nude and white! Before she started working on my nails, she had the nerve to tell me to tip her $5 and pointed me to her QR code to Venmo or cashapp! Apparently letting me know I had options. I thought hell why not I like to get things over with before my nails are done. When she started she got the acrylic out and pointed out I should have long nails. I said why not. It's been a while. I like em long. It took her 2 hrs to get my nails done! She knew she fkd up and had one of her coworkers fix the shape and design! ‍ I also asked her if she could clean up a bit around my nails since there was left over acrylic and it was making my fingers feel dry af. I've been coming here for YEARS for my pedicures and it's always been decent. Sometimes the wait times are long, every once in a while you'll get someone who sucks at polishing but never has it been as bad as tonight. This was literally the worst pedicure of my life. I got gel, and I wanted a basic pumpkin design that they had displayed at the front. Yen, who was doing my pedi, told me that she couldn't do it. I asked if there was someone else that could and she said no. So I decided to just do plain black instead. She clipped my skin with the nail clipper but other than that, everything was going okay until she started polishing. I'm not exaggerating at all when I say she must have done at least 15 coats of gel on my toes. She would do a few coats of black and then top coat, then a few more black, then more top coat, curing it under the light each time. After about 3 times, the light started burning my skin, which I told her. She would adjust the light, and then continue to polish the other foot. Back and forth from foot to foot for at least 45 minutes!! By what seemed like the 15th time, I asked her why she was doing so many coats, because the light was burning my skin and she didn't have an answer. I finally told her to please just stop, I wanted to leave. She grabs the drill and starts drilling the polish off my big toe, drilling my skin in the process! I pulled my foot away and I said "why are you taking it off??? I asked you to stop" to which she replied "sorry sorry". I got up, and left. Upon further examination when I got home, I saw gel alllll around the skin on my toes which explains why it was burning so badly under the light. I hate having to give this place a bad review because they've been decent up until now and I've recommended them to many people over the years, but this was absolutely awful. Update: they saw my post about this on social media and reached out to fix it. I went back in this morning and they had another tech named Tracy take off the gel and re-polish them. Dropped by here once before prior to today. They're generally always busy - come to find out because they have specials before 1 p.m. The first place today we did visit before this spa was more modern in decor, inviting, but they lacked employees for a weekend - when many find time to get spa day done. Didn't wait at that location. It being a Sunday, only a couple places we found to be open including Top Nails. We called and jetted over here instead. Their decor was more airy and relaxing with the beach scenery going on. You should see the cute blue chairs looking like a water ripple - sit on the ripplllle... Anywhobeegoobees, Amy was my manicurist. She's careful and meticulous! I mentioned to her about a piece of cuticle and she assured me she would check again, and not to worry. Each hand she checked thrice. I got gel frenchies; double application for each coat: base, clear gel, white tip gel, and top coat. LED light machine used to dry the polish is super fast! And I know gel polish lasts so much longer. Massage came with both mani/pedi which was relaxing. And with the theme in there plus the music, and sitting in that massage chair during pedicure I totally nodded off. There are multiple pedicure massage selections, and the one with orange scrub is awesome! aroma therapeutic too :-D Friendly service, short wait time, package deal, Amy being very particular about her work... a four star review. There is still polish stuck to my skin under a few of my fingernails but not too bugged by it; small quality observance. I don't often pamper myself cuz I can do this at home, so can't say if I'd return soon. But I definitely recommend them! read more

I was so surprised when I came in today! (Friday at 4pm) its a new nail shop and i love the interior designs! It looks like a top notch nail spot. Anna had a cancelled appointment so once I came in she started on my nails. It got super busy so she was stuck doing my pedicure and my gel mani after! But even doing all that work on just me, she was very professional, kind & funny. I really enjoyed Anna's work. Both my feet and hands look great & they feel great! My pedicure was pretty average: good job on the cuticles, scrubbing & massage was ok, but it's a good thing I got a neutral color because the polish was all over the place. The pedicure is the only reason I gave 2 stars. My hands do not look like I paid for the result. The same lady who did my pedicure did the manicure, but I think she should stick to feet (my friend said maybe it's the view??). I like a square shape nail, but they're so crooked, they look more like she was trying to make triangles. When I tried to let her know they were crooked, she made it even worse. Inside the salon, I felt like my nails looked decent & it's a nude color, so I was just happy to have a mini-massage. But in the sunlight I saw every flaw: polish on my skin & cuticles, air bubbles, uneven color, and there's even a piece of brown lint (from the towel) that she painted over. My friends' nails looked so nice & neat...maybe it was just the lady who did mine? I'm kind of picky about nail salons, so I'll stick to the 2 in Riverside that I like. read more
