Its been about a year since I came to this place. I used to get my nails done by Mimi who was great! So obviously she was booked while walking in. I went with the the first person available. Right away I told her I like short because of work. They have a rule of not working on previous sets from other salons, no prob with that. But she filed away the whole nail instead of a proper soaking and removal. She then did the SLOPPIEST cut I have ever seen and left it that way on a NEW SET! Might I add the set was freaking 80 dollars! She proceeded too add nails and when I asked her if this was the short gel ex tip she said no it's Medium with an attitude. I reminded her that I specifically said short so she them cut them down and said there? I am not a confrontational person so I just let it go. My nails are extremely long. I don't think I will be returning to this place again. I tipped $10 and they had the audacity to say $10 where I don't even feel like they deserved a tip at all. I just I'm not that type of person to not tip for a service. I am going to have to go remove the set elsewhere because they are too long. I like long nails I get that its the look right now. But when someone tells a nail tech i need short for work I feel it should be respected and not forced to get medium to up charge :(

Note: wanted to add that they do amazing designs & the quality of work is excellent! The price reflects that, so for solid color nails or something simple it may be pricier than average.
Came to this nail shop because it was recommended to me. My bestf really likes this place. Really nice shop. I was very excited. About a 20min wait. They give complementary water. My pedicure was great, I loved how my toes came out. I had a chipped big toe, and she fixed it w/ acrylic. Nails is when it just went left. Prior to starting I asked the lady could she paint a star on one of my figure (ring finger) she stated yes. Ok copy, so she did my manicure, we decided on a cute pretty pink. While one hand (the left hand) was under the dryer, she started the star design in my right hand. SHE STRUGGLED. Redid the start 2/3 times. And I'm just watching her like oooh yea this ain't gone work. Mind you, whole time she working on the right hand, my left hand is still under the UV Light as she did them 2/3 failed attempts. As a result the left hands held nail got ruined because they were under the UV too long, THE LADY HUFFED AND PUFFED SO LOUD and stated I was supposed to remove my hand. Girl how was I supposed to know!? IMMEDIATE ATTITUDE. So she had to file ALL the nails down on my left hand and redo another coat and I had to redo the UV Light. She attempted to redo the star by that time she had an attitude, I had an attitude, it was very evident. I asked her did she have a star gem she could just attached, multiple times she went and checked the gems and multiple times she told me no. We went back and fourth about it because I knew for a fact there was a star gem in there because while I waited to get my nails done I PERSONALLY LOOKED THROUGH ALL OF THE GEMS & I SEEN THE STAR. Once I got up and showed her the star, she huffed. Like girl you half looked, be irritated at yourself. So she attached the star but you could noticeably see that it was going to snag on to things. So I asked is this going to snag and fall off. She didn't respond just looked at me then added HELLA CLEAR GEL ON TOP. It was SOOOO bulky. After that I was done, I was so irritated. I got up paid and left, my bestf and other good friend were still inside getting their nails done.. the Manager asked my Bestfriend is she okay? Is she mad!? I was livid. SO the manager told me to come in and she would try and fix what I didn't like, I was hesitant but I went back in. The manager seen the BIG BULKY NAIL & immediately made a face, like she knew. she knew why I was mad. She filed it completely down, and she painted the star I originally wanted, herself, then she filed and shaped the rest of my nails because idk what shape the other lady did. So on the end the manager saved the day. Come to find out afterwards the lady who did my nails and toes was JUST A PEDICURIST, nails are not her specialty. So word of advice ASK PRIOR if they are a manicurist or pedicurist. Also if the design doesn't come out the first or second time ask them can someone else do the design! My friend (lavender nails) the person doing her nails were unable to do the design she wanted she just got plain nails. Sandy did her pedicure she loved Sandy. My best friend loved her nails, I feel like her nails came out beautiful, the nail tech she was paired with definitely had designs down pack. As I was sitting getting my nails done by the manager I was able to see the check in screen. Certain peoples name show their name and VIP added next to it. Other's just had the name and said new but it. Personally (that this is just my own opinion) I think they pair the more skilled people to the VIP will I go back? Probably not unless it's for lashes.

I got some cold water and the staff was nice. Highly recommend if you have an open schedule since there's no appointment. They also charge based on length. So my nails were $60+ $15 for design.
I've been getting my nails done here for the past four years and I am always pleased with the service and quality of my nails. They go above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience and take the time to relax. It's almost always full with other women which makes the vibe nice. I usually get a basic gel pedicure and acrylic manicure and have found the prices to be decent and fair.
time here getting a fill. First time i was charged $65 for a Full Set. Came back for a fill where she used a tiny bead of acrylic in each mail and was charged 65 for a fill. That's insane. How are the fills and full sets the same price?? With my design they smudged 2 nails and didn't want to re do the nail design instead she tried fixing it which didn't do much. At the end i was so disappointed that i told them to leave it like that and left. I payed, left tip but I'm not coming back.
I am a regular customer here. I received a referral from a longtime friend after visiting many places that were just not up to par with the funds they're receiving for the service. Fast-forward been coming to topcoat for quite a while now and so far I've only had my nails and feet done by Mimi and Tina. Mimi and Tina are the best Very happy

I've been bringing my money to this business for about 5 years. This last experience on 5/28 I asked for a nail fill. I stressed to Mimi that one nail was lifting and she said it was okay. That nail popped off within 3 days. Then another one lifted within a couple of days. When I went to get them fixed I could tell Mimi was irritated by the tone. The owner, Julia, also joined in their native language. Julia should be a bit more conscious of the fact that they don't charge cheap ($158)...and her techs should do a better job of cleaning up the nails before filling them in. Another nail is lifting today... Needless to say, I'm done giving my money to this nail salon. read more

First time getting my nails done here. I came early and was the first person in so I was seated right away. I forget to get the name of the girl who did my nails but she was a sweet heart even tho she had to constantly remind me to relax lol They had music going so it wasn't awkwardly quiet. It was a little pricey ($65 for length and $20 for cat eye) Giving it a 3 star because I she didn't clean up my cuticles and left my hand with the dust residue from the filling, and nail polish and glue on my fingers. Aside from that I love my nails and I'll probably come back so hopefully next time i leave a little cleaner lol (I had cleaned my hands with hand sanitizer in the pics so that's why it looks cleanish) read more

Came here to get my lashes removed and to get them fixed properly. After I was explaining to the lash tech to please isolate them properly because most of my eyelashes are gone the owner Julia became mad and defensive. Then she declined to fix my lashes stating that I made her feel uncomfortable because I told her my real eyelashes were messed up. Ive been coming here for 2 years and instead of doing things properly she rather do bad business. I will report to the board of California. read more

Came in today for a full set and was greeted by the young lady at the desk. The place wasn't busy AT ALL the time I arrived, so I was able to be seated right away....yes! This was a complete shock for me lol because as this place tends to get very busy, from my past visits I kno the wait times can become a little long(iykyk). However, Mimi did my nails today and I was very satisfied with the outcome. This place can get a little pricey, but you get what you pay for here. So just be prepared to spend a little money if you want to walk out with your nails looking rite. My only complaint would be that they no longer accept zelle as a form of payment. I now had to use the atm inside the shop and be charged a service fee(what a inconvenience), but if you have Apple pay they'll accept that. Sorry but everyone doesn't own iphones. So ladies just make sure you bring ur CASHHH!!!! read more

I usually LOVE this place and come here all the time! HOWEVER, I was very disappointed with my visit today. I asked for a full set of dip nails in matte black. After filing them smooth and right before the lady put polish on, she took the tool again and completely scuffed them up!! As a result, she put polish on them when the nails were still rugged and they were left with ugly white marks all over each nail. I pointed this out on the thumbs because they were the worst and she went back and filed them smooth and repainted them. She said the others were fine and I did NOT have the patience to sit there for her to remove polish and re-do each nail. This was all 1.5 hours already (even though I left with 8 scraped nails) and amounted to $55!!!! I am so sad because I loved this place. read more

I've been here a few times and have never had an issue. Your typical nail salon w foreign shit talking, except modern and boujier lol they're good at designs not gonna lie, and are able to do almost every design you find online but WHAT THE F*$& did they do to my toe?! It's so painful!! it's starting to develop more pus. I got them done on Saturday, it's now Monday and just left the ER. They prescribed antibiotics. If you notice in one of the pictures, there's a red line that the er physician noticed, it's the infection working it's way up towards my leg! idk what or how it happened. I just know it happened there. limping everywhere and pain is literally a 9.5/10 and getting worse read more

0 Stars if i can leave that. They are crooks!!! They will take your money. They charged me 73 for a fill, what they so called a full set! She charged me 5$ to take off my nails, whole time she never took them off she just shaved them down! Then she charged me 15$ for a horrible French tip! Horrible literally! To include they charged me 50$ saying that my nails was a full set. Than on top of everything they charge a 3$ fee to use your card The girl that did my nails name was Michelle. My eyes was itching my whole entire appointment. Would not recommend!!!! Don't get scammed. They are fraudulent & i will be calling the business board to report all this bad activity read more

I got a wispy hybrid set long. I ABSOLUTELY love them! Rita did an AMAZING job and super quick 1.5ish hours. Hybrid was $90.. long +$10, wispy +$10. Pricy for add ons, but in my opinion worth it! I'll update in a week. read more

I received the best No Chip Manicure here that I've ever had. The place was EXTREMELY busy and now I see why. I highly recommend making an appointment and showing up early just in case. I came here with my boyfriend for his first manicure and they were very accommodating. The prices are fair and I will definitely be back when I'm in the area again. I'm not kidding when I say nails lasted for WEEKS. The location is currently on the top floor of the building for anyone that was a little lost like me. read more

There's always so many negative comments about this place but all and all, every time I've come here my experience has been excellent. I started coming here during covid when they were doing nails outside and the service then, was still excellent. It's been about two years now of me being a returning client, I give Julia her flowers for running such a good business, the prices are reasonable for the quality work that you receive. Every time I've asked for a design or given a reference picture they have been a able to execute just that. Highly recommend this place. read more

I 10/10 recommend Top Coat Nails & Lashes! I got a Christmas set by Harry and my nails came out perfect also you can't beat their prices. I got a long acrylic full set with chrome and it came out to $90 before tip. Thank you Top Coat & Harry, I will be seeing you again soon! read more

This place was recommended to me by a friend and I am so happy she did. This is my new go to place for my nails. Everyone I have had work on my nails is very talented and take their time making sure your nails look absolutely stunning every single time. They really take their time to make sure your nails are shaped and painted perfectly. Everyone that I have brought here love the service they provide. You won't be disappointed. read more
