First visit and I read the reviews, some good some bad. Truth be told we went to World of Beer first because that's what the boys wanted (way over rated in my opinion) but they had a 40 minute wait and Top Dawg had plenty of tables available. Do people not realize it's there RIGHT NEXT DOOR or have never been and don't want to try it based on the bad reviews? I thought it was darn good! Prices are reasonable and the food was fresh and hot. The daily specials are awesome! Especially on Sunday.... the Man-moosa was SOOO delicious and it came with a basket of mini muffins. Well worth the money and tasty! We couldn't believe how many items they offer on the menu, more than most restaurants so there is something for everyone. Did not get five stars because it was a little slow on food coming out and they couldn't do the Philly cheesesteak with chicken... That would've been nice, but it was still good. Alyssa made sure to keep us informed on the food time and was very attentive. Props to her! Phenomenal beer selection!! Also interesting to read about the "Folds of Honor", super cool. The fried green tomatoes are to die for. Fresh and crispy. The hamburgers are very old fashioned tasting.

The Menu was not very interesting and that should have been my cue to leave. The food was not the best but I've definitely had worse. The service was horrible as our waitress was never to be found. She took our order then disappeared. 20 minutes later she finally came back as I waited to order a beer. 10 minutes for that to arrive. Said the food was ready, another 10 minutes goes by. In the time of social distancing and chaos, having one neighbourhood bar open is Godsend. I have been thinking about visiting this place for a while and today was the day. They do have patio seating and of course given current situation and really nice day, they were full. So we sat at the bar. Service was good. Drinks were decent. We ordered southwest chicken roll and nachos. Good and tasty bar food. It appears that the manager knows the regulars. This is a plus for customer service. I will come back for drink or two. Post-Costco meal; yes we were starving. The Hostess immediately sat us. Our Server Andrew was friendly and very service oriented; we appreciated that so much as we were STARVING. Andrew was a true gentleman. Andrew took our drink and appetizer order and not before too long, he brought them over. I didn't order an appetizer so I won't be reviewing them. I did however order a rare, bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and onions with French fries. The food came out fairly quick and was pleasantly surprised to find my cheese burger cooked rare; not always does your burger come out, cooked to your desired temperature. The cheese burger was delicious but nothing extraordinary about it. The seasoning was average and the toasted bun was a nice touch. The French fries were a little over-salted for my preference but were still delicious; thankfully my beer helped to balanced out the slightly over-salted fries. Overall, it was a good venue with a warm and friendly atmosphere; perfect for a post-Costco meal. I would recommend stopping in for a meal! read more

The food tasted so incredibly nasty. I ordered fried green tomatoes in the hopes it would be amazing. What I got was deep fried slime. The burger had absolutely no seasoning at all. Even the waitress mentioned that my complaint was not the first she had heard in regards to how disgusting the food was. Tried this place on a whim and it was just okay. Nothing overwhelming amazing. I ordered the philly cheesesteak but on a wrap with fries. I do like that they give you the option to turn all sammies into a wrap. The fries were better than the sandwich though, I must admit! Super crispy and seasoned. The menu itself has enough on it that I will definitely give it another try the next time I'm in town. The vibe was cool. This bar/restaurant is very clean and up to date in decor- I think this is why expectations of the food is a little higher than a typical bar/tavern. We came in for super bowl, as we're traveling out of town for work, and took a chance. Our hostess, Reagan was phenomenal. Extremely attentive and was always checking back on us. We never had to hunt her down, or wait to make eye contact. I hope her boss reads this and offers her more hours or a pay increase, something. She's exactly what you'd look for in a server. We would've loved to enjoy these areas for dinner, but unfortunately, we couldn't get anyone to seat us at 7:34 on a Sunday night. We stood at the front entryway, right next to the "Please Wait to Be Seated" sign for a good 6-8 minutes while a waitress put her tips in the computer and did her very best to ignore us. She did take a phone call and go get someone for whomever was on the phone, but she went out of her way to avoid making eye-contact with us. We finally left and went somewhere else. Our waitress was Jade and she was so nice and very speedy, we also enjoyed speaking with someone who's name I didn't catch but I believe he was a manager. Place is very clean and the wait staff was nice. The menu is pretty meh and the beer list is lacking. Had the ahi tuna starter and it was pretty bad and that means a lot because tuna is hard to be bad. The sauce was bland and had no flavor and the tuna was sliced very thick. I had a basic philly cheese steak that was just okay. The wife's burger was also just okay. The vibe in this place is confusing. I visited the top dawg tavern over a month ago. Now the food was wonderful I had wings. The server was nice too. My only complaint is that I believe they pour water into their liquor bottles to stretch it out. I had a lemon drop martini, 3 doubles of Jose and grapefruit juice and didn't even feel a little tipsy. I'm about 4'9 135 pounds I probably should've been trashed but I wasn't. Originally had planned on visiting World of Beer next door, but on Martin Luther King Day, they were extremely busy so we decided to give Top Dawg, next door, a chance as they have similar food options. We were sadly mistaken. The appetizers were just okay -- which is to be expected as we ordered loaded potato skins and a pretzel. The guacamole was not very good at all. The worst part of the visit, however, was the fish and chips. I assume they were so terrible as they were evidently frozen, as my boyfriend who is in the food industry determined so and that they did not taste apparently "bad." However, I could not eat them (I'll spare the details). I'm sorry, but it's hard to mess up fish and chips or any other fried food for that matter. The best part about our visit was our waitress, whom was very honest with us and strayed us from several of the menu options that we had been thinking about ordering, informing us that they were no good. However, I had wished after sending back my fish and chips that she had warned me about my dish at well. My family and I will not be going back to this establishment. Came here to watch the Dallas Cowboy game. Food was really good and drinks were ok. This is a place that has the NFL ticket which is why we came but the volume on the big screen was so loud we could even hear our game on our phone. When we asked the manager to change the tv he said he would get fired even though the only people watching the game were 2 tables of Cowboy fans. Maybe they should listen to customers since they are the ones spending the money. Then to top that off then the early game went off they pull up the big screen and then there is no sound. The BBQ sauce had the perfect tanginess to it. The fries were crisp and tasty. Others ordered a Tavern Burger (thumbs up), a chicken tender wrap (nothing left of that one!) and another wrap. It was a very enjoyable lunch. The restaurant was quite clean and I had fun reading the sports quotes on one wall. There were TVs around, but unlike other places they weren't intrusive or loud. The staff looked busy ensuring everyone got served promply and taken care of while they ate. Didn't feel rushed at all.
