This business has some potential but they are draining it down the pipe simply because "the owner" to lazy to learn english or hire someone at front to be able at least understand it. We made a reservation for couple's massage and when we arrived they told us it is cash only. Well you should've told me when I was making a reservation. So long story short the front lady who spoke absolute ZERO english asked me to take a picture of my credit card and sent it to someone to charge. I figured it will be impossible to explain to her about privacy and sensitive banking info so I just let her do that. I should have read more reviews before going. BIG mistake. I went in on a Wednesday at 12pm for the happy hour foot massage, advertised in the front of their building on a bright yellow sign for $20/hour (see below). I asked to use the restroom and they ushered me into a dark room, not the restroom, and left me there for a few minutes before bringing me my card and receipt. They charged my card for $46 before the massage even started!!! When I asked why I was charged so much, they seemed to not understand and tried ignoring my questions. They finally figured it out and went to work on my refund. As the Masseuse walked in he whispered "foot massage - 40 mins." I said, "no, I am asking for what is advertised, the happy hour special." He then said that it is 40 mins, not 60. I asked for my refund because I was ready to leave. They could not issue a refund and had to call their manager. The manager tried to get me to settle for a gift card, but at that point I was VERY uncomfortable and very surprised that they conduct business this way. Bait and switch ... Outside these people have signs saying $25 massage but when you get there they tell you there is no $25 massage it's $40. Plus They expect you to tip. I'm OK with tipping but not when the massage is $15 more than advertised... I tried to let them know that their sign says $25 but they said that's an old price, but I've been telling them this for months so at this point I think they're doing it on purpose to fraudulently lure people in. As soon as we walked in first thing he said that we need to pay first, and we were shocked and surprised, that being there first time, not even knowing what services will be provided, they already asking for the money. Also we were not happy with the services as well, two girls were constantly talking to each other, not paying attention to the massage at all, they were massaging with one hand and talking to each other with other hand, was the wisest massage I ever had! Surprised by some of the negative reviews; I've rarely had a problem there. I try to go once per month for an hour massage. Obviously some of the girls are better/more experienced than others, but when I find one I like I try to request her each time. I can always get right in with no waiting, and get a full hour massage. One time the masseuse had to answer the phone a few times, but I got extra time added. Very relaxing hour. I would come more often, but I try to leave a good tip (at least $20), so I have to limit my visits. I haven't been there since January 2020 due to Covid; I hope they can open again soon! read more

I came in very excited to get a massage as I have been in a lot of pain. The lady tells me that I need to pay first so I said OK. I did not like that, however I was reaching in my wallet to pay first. I grab my debit card and she said "oh no cash only" so I said I don't have cash. She goes, "theres an ATM across the street". I said they charge all type of ATM fees and I really don't want to have to do that. She goes "well it's an extra five dollars if you use your credit card. " I thought she did not take credit cards! This is very racist to me ! I have never been asked to pay first but even if I have, they specifically do not want people of color to pay with credit cards. I said thank you and I left. First off the walking lady was not so friendly but it's ok maybe she having a bad day or she does not get humor very well. I had the best massage I've ever had here. The girl was very cute and sweet personality she has some really good strength. I'm a really big dude so I was surprise she could handle me well. Man I give her. 20 stars she knew her shit. I enjoy the massage and the work that the masseuse gave me but afterwards when I was paying the manager ask if I wanted to leave a tip and I told him yes, $5 was going to be my tip for the service, which is 20%. The manager proceeds to ask me if i would double it and give the masseuse $10 instead. I was instantly offended because now instead of giving this guy a 20% tip which is more than fair, I was asked to give FIFTY PERCENT OF A TIP .... Where in the hell do they do that at? I ended up settling with a $7 tip but i felt so disrespecting being ask to leave a 50% of a tip ... the foot massage cost $21 for hour ... if the price is to low for the service then i believe the establishment should just raised the price to $31 instead of being so rude and asking customers to exceed a 50% tip! At 20%, $31 would have yielded a $6.20 tip... I was so appalled with this managers request I may never go back! read more

Dishonest business with foul customer service. There is a banner with big bright letters right above the door advertising a weekday Happy Hour from 10am-3pm during which a 1 hour foot massage is priced at $20. I went in today well before 3 and asked for the foot massage, and the woman at the desk told me it would be a 10minute wait but that I need to pay immediately and that it's $25. I asked why it isn't $20 and she said that's not a thing and then insults me by making up a pathetic excuse of "the sign is too high so I haven't wanted to take it down." The sign is RIGHT above the doorway... it's below the main sign with the name of the shop. She knows it's a deceptive ploy to get people to come in, but I would not give in to her false advertising. I left and told her that she lies and that it's a bad business practice. I have been to many, MANY Chinese foot massage spots in San Gabriel Valley and the Noho area, and without fail, the ones that make you pay first are the least reliably good. The legit places trust their services enough to have you pay at the end with a tip that's been earned. So with the lying and the fact that they make you pay first, I didn't waste my time. Honestly, guys, there are so many other places in the Lankershim/Magnolia/Cahuenga/Vineland area that are great. I'd go to a place that's honest. I've had great experiences at 5 Star as well as J&J as well as (my favorite) Jun, which offers (and honors) a Happy Hour from 11-2, also a $20/hr foot massage.
