Located at the Stockton Metropolitan Airport, this small restaurant/bar with attached coffee bar is your only option for food/drinks while traveling (aside from the vending machines). It is located outside of the security checkpoint, up the stairs. We visited the coffee bar last weekend while waiting for our delayed flight to depart. It had plenty of seating, which was good, but the coffee drinks appear to be made just using a Nespresso machine, so it's nothing special. I would not recommend any drinks made with milk as their machine uses powdered milk, and it tasted funny. However, the Americano served black was great. We have eaten here a few times and the food has always been good, but the place is filthy. The place looks likes it has sat empty for years and they decided to open "as is". There is a pool table shoved up against the windows being stored. There is plastic patio furniture used in half the "restaurant". There is a patio but not really useful as very little furniture out there. Example: cocktail size table and no chairs around it. No excuse for not even sweeping the floors inside. read more

It was ok. Definitely needs a remodel, very dated. Food was decent, perfect size portions for the average eater. The service was ok, only one waitress. Who was waiting on all the patrons . Water went out when we were eating so we didn't get a refill on our water or offered anything else, like a canned soda. I would recommend some improvements with the ambiance and staff availability. Kind of a hidden gem. I go here frequently on my lunch breaks. It's quiet (despite being at the airport). They have new chairs, which adds to the comfort. They make really good burgers and both their fries and onion rings are top notch. The wait staff is always super friendly as well, which adds to the overall experience. read more

I invited Yelp friends, Emmalouise B. & Steve B. to join me on a short flight around the central valley today. Since Stockton Airport is the closest place to land that has a decent place for lunch. I decided we'd fly-in and pay the **NEW** Top Flight Grill & Catering restaurant a visit. After landing and walking the short five minute walk to the airport's terminal, we decided to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather and fresh air. Within seconds of sitting down, our server Jessica was at out table and taking our drink and food orders. Myself and Steve decided on breakfast items, while Emmalou went with something off the lunch menu. Within five minutes, our food was at the table but, the service didn't stop there. Jessica, who was extremely attentive and friendly made sure none of us ever saw the bottoms of our drink glasses. After a great meal and good conversation, we headed back into the wild blue yonder, eventually landing back in Tracy to complete an awesome day with some great fellowship. My club had their Christmas banquet at Top Flight, it was buffet style with chicken and tri tip, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, salad and bread. The food was very good, dare I say excellent. The chicken was roasted in a tangy but not overpowering barbecue sauce, The roast beef had a nice seasoning and was very juicy, mashed potatoes were fluffy and tasty, roasted vegetables were done to perfection not raw, not overcooked with light seasoning. And the salad, OMG, more than just lettuce. Raisins, sunflower seeds, almond slivers, and a choice of ranch or Italian dressing which I use a little of both. The price was very reasonable. If you have ever gone to a large group banquet/ dinner at a restaurant you know how pricey that can be. And I'll add that the owner of the restaurant was on site and his staff was very friendly and helpful. After completely underestimating the size and quality of the Stockton airport (I've been to bus stops that were bigger), I was happy to see a safe haven that had not only a kitchen, but also a bottle of Jameson on the shelf! Great place to fly into for lunch...just remember they are not open on Saturdays when there is no commercial flight. I suggest you call ahead to check their hours on weekends. Great staff with some of the best chicken wings ever. Also the bloody marys are tops. It's hard to beat their prices especially for an airport restaurant. There are several TV screens in the facility so you can watch your favorite team playing. If you're taking a commercial flight out, come early and make sure you give this place a try...there's also outside seating for smokers or for those that just like dining in the fresh air. The Stockton airport is small - one waiting room only- but does have restaurant and bar. I had a morning flight out of Stockton, and had breakfast at the Top Flight Cafe. Plenty of window seat, few patrons, and a pretty good sit down breakfast. I had a cheese and sausage omlete with lots of potatoes, toast, and coffee for $ 8.50 with good service. Hard to get to from the airport and there's a Subway under construction next to it that makes it look like the whole place is closed. Anyway, I ordered the tritip sandwich. It was tasty. The meat is well done and the BBQ sauce is a little light. I'm more into Mack's BBQ style with a ton of meat, a ton of sauce and that's it. The fries were plenty crunchy though I added my own salt. Myself and some co-workers decided that we'd give this place a try for lunch. We don't have a great variety of choices in this area. The good: The restaurant is spacious and clean with a full bar. We were greeted and seated quickly. Drink orders were taken and our drinks arrived in a timely manner. Our server was prompt and courteous through out our lunch service. The bad: When the drinks arrived we all smelled cinnamon immediately. It turned out that one of us received our drink from a dirty glass. Grey Goose isn't supposed to smell like Fireball. The drink was replaced, but no apology was given. Just a dirty look from the bartender 2 of us ordered guacamole burgers with frings (that's fries and onion rings together). The other order was a chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was a bit below average I'm told, but it was a decent portion nonetheless. The burgers is where the real let down is. Our burgers and frings arrive hot, but the meat was almost nonexistent, and I had very little guacamole on mine. The flavor of the burger was that of pre pressed frozen meat. This was a $9 meal and wasn't worth $3. Any fast food joint would have been a better choice. If you must grab a bite to eat while at this airport, play it safe and eat at Subway. Bartender Carlie was in rare form during the rush ( impressive) it gets very busy about an hour or so before each flight. Get there early to relax before your flight plenty of seating also good food and drinks at reasonable prices. Seems there may be some new exciting changes coming to this airport for a better customer travel experience ? Also met some real nice Stockton area locals on their way to Vegas for the 3 day weekend $$$ Hopefully their winners! If or when I return to this airport I will be stopping by for more of the same and to watch the small planes take off and land as well as the Amazon Prime jet fleet. I was very upset when I arrived at 12pm for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary party. Nothing had been done at all. The place was dirty and had not been cleaned from the prior night. Nothing had been set up. The owner, Rich Hogan, told me that the party was not until 2 and he had two girls coming in at 1 to set everything up, so I shouldn't worry. I had told him I wanted linen napkins and tablecloths. He called me two days prior confirm the linen charge. Needless to say, they were not there. He gave me some story about having to have an ongoing contract to get them. I could have rented them and brought them if he had informed me he could not get them. He had cheap plastic tablecloths and not enough for all the tables, necessitating my brother and husband making two trips to get more. He was also very rude in dealings with him. Next was the lack of seating. I had confirmed for 90, but only had seating available for 75. Fortunately, my brother knew where additional tables and chairs were at the airport. My family and I began bringing down the extra tables and chairs, had to clear the existing tables, move them and cover them with the tablecloths. When the manager, Alex Roche, arrived, I informed him of how unhappy I was as the owner pretty much hid in the kitchen after I had let him know how unhappy I was. Alex did everything he could to correct the problems. When the staff finally arrived, they started cleaning, but it still was not up to what it should have been. They were also busy putting together the napkins, silverware and glasses on the table. If we had not as a family started setting things up before they got there, it would not have been done by 2. Our first guests arrived at 1:30 and everything was not quite ready. My day was capped off by the owner leaving the bill at the bar and taking off without even speaking to me as I did not feel I should have paid the entire amount and I had made that very clear. Not to mention, his clothes were dirty, as were the staff. We have had three prior events there when it was owned by Tommy, the prior owner, and when I arrived, everything was already done. I never had to do anything. Needless to say, I will not ever have another event at this facility and I would not recommend it to anyone if you are looking specifically for a venue with catering. Rich Hogan is very rude and refuses to deal with problems leaving his staff to deal with it. Very unprofessional. I would give Alex five stars if I could. read more

Truthfully, I had pretty low expectations based on past experiences at other small airports. I admit, I was pleasantly surprised. It was seat yourself. I grabbed a window seat that looks out at the runway. I was immediately given a menu and asked if I would like anything to drink. The menu is nothing fancy. I ordered a swiss mushroom burger ($7.50). I had the fries with it. It showed up at my table very quickly. I think they could have rivaled most fast food restaurants in terms of time to deliver food. The burger was good and juicy and the fries nice and crisp. The waitress continued to be friendly and quick even though they were fairly busy. This was a real surprise in the the Stockton airport! The Cafe is a real bright spot of this airport. The cafe has plenty of seating with a great view of the taxiway/parking apron. The staff are excellent, friendly, and fast with the service! Plenty of choices on menu for drinks and food, but the menu is basic food. The cafe has free wifi also. Overall a very nice place! So we came here after our flight today (Wed) for lunch. The waitress was really nice but got my salad order wrong. I asked for the Tossed green salad rather then the House salad. When she came back it looked like she just added romaine to my iceberg salad. The Chicken strips and fries were really poor quality. When we got our check of $19 and some change I gave her a $20 bill. She never came back with our change. We waited so long that she came back to us and asked if we needed anything else.
