This bar needs to be deeply evaluated. I have never in my life been so disrespected. A bartender began yelling at my friend for ordering a drink incorrectly on accident, caused a scene, and threw a drink at my head. I wish I was lying. If you don't like to drink and party; just ignore this review and this business lol. My wife is an FSU alum and she likes to go back for at least one home football game each year. We both like to party. This place makes me wish I went to FSU lol. One of my favorite stories is my first visit to Bullwinkles. I was really frustrated by weak pour drinks at the time, at seemingly every restaurant I had been to lately, so I was on a kick of ordering doubles so I wouldn't have to drink 12 ounces of soda with my one ounce of liquor. Get to the bar, ask for a double Bacardi and Coke; the bartender says with a very dry delivery, "Sorry, we don't have doubles." I'm thinking to myself for a fraction of a second; are you kidding me? A college bar in a college town can't even serve me a double?! Then she smiles and says, "...but we have triples for $5." I had to do a double take; no pun intended. So let me get this straight, I can get a single for $3, but I can get a triple for $5 total, not even $3 + $5?! Yep. Oh man, I'm in love. Another funny evening; it was a Friday night when they have an all you can drink thing from afternoon until I believe 1am, an hour before close, for the massive price of $10; yes, that's not a typo. We went, there was a line around the side of the building. I noticed a door on the side of the building that no one seemed to be using and asked him what that was. He said you can pay $10 extra (cover was $10) to not only get in that door with no waiting, but it gets you access to the upstairs area where the sink or swim includes call brands. Here we go again; I'm dumbfounded. So I can wait in line for 30 minutes to pay $10 and have what is still arguably an incredible deal, or I can pay $20, wait zero minutes AND drink all I want of call brands like Crown, Jack, etc.?! Yep. I'm not an FSU football fan, but I'm all about going to a game any time my wife wants to go back; just better believe we'll be at Bulls at least once each trip. read more

My bestfriend loves this place... it's a fun college bar but with less underage kids they're pretty strict on 21+ the line always sucks even when it's short because people cut in and think they're slick.(like parties of five) Stick with one bartender and TIP and they'll remember you and you will always have a good drink. Overall fun place with a big outdoor patio area and an outside bar, they usually play good music, the bathrooms always have toilet paper, and I've never seen anyone get kicked out for trying to fight. Dammit!! If my friend wasn't such a damn hater I would have had an awesome time here. Despite being ten years older than everyone else. hahahaha We got here around 1130 and paid $10. Super excited to get cheap drinks all night long, baby. Or at least I was. My friend was not going to drink because she was going to run a half marathon in a day. Whatever. It was very very crowded and getting a drink was next to impossible, next to 4 other people crowding out the space at the bar. Each giant bar had exactly two bartenders, with about 200 plus thirsty gulpers vying for their attention at any given moment who paid for their AYCD cups ahead of time, ready for round #2,3,4, X. Squeezing our empty plastic cups, I felt a twinge of stress over trying to actually get any liquid into these cups. Fret not, I made friends at the bar, paying the high price of having to talk to a creepy dude who I would never talk to otherwise, and got our drinks. The crowd was not the most sophisticated, to say the least. But whatever, it's a college bar and if you want to have a good time, a good time shall be yours. One of my favorite going out spots in tally! Ten dollar cover with student id and that gives you unlimited top shelf drinks until one. A tip I have is to always say the brand of top shelf alcohol or they will give you call liquor. They do offer a "Big cup" that comes with a stamp of approval on your arm. I always get a big cup because its free refills (with a tip of course) and the wait to the bar isn't as long. It does get pretty busy so I always arrive a little early. Bulls offers an indoor dance floor with a DJ that's always on point the the latest hip hop/dance mix. The outside patio is my favorite because its huge so its not as crowded as the inside dance floor. They usually have a live band playing greatest hits from the 90's to today and the dance floor is a judgement free zone where you can dance your little butt off however you would like! They have a upstairs patio for more of a chill atmosphere with their own bar. That's what I love about bulls, its an all in one atmosphere that anyone can enjoy! read more

Ahhh Bull's, home of the $7 all you can drink on Thursdays ($10 if you're not a student). This bar has been around for EVER, literally for generations and still stands. Parts of the bar are inside and others are outside on a large deck with a second floor which offers a great view. This place could use a renovation but the old look has a certain charm to it. The bathrooms are avoidable because they are brutal. Overall a good time to enjoy a nostalgic moment with your college buddies. read more

I was in town for work this weekend and decided to try this place out. Little did I know how rude the staff here was. They picked who they liked the most out of the crowd to serve first, while others waited for 20+ minutes for one drink. The outside area was pretty decent, but inside there was one blonde girl at a bar who literally slammed my AYCD cup in front of me and told me to go to another bartender bc she didn't like how I noticed that she was serving people out of order at the bar. Then when I attempted to complain to another bartender, he refused to provide me with her name so that I could provide a formal complaint to management. Never again will I visit this bar. read more

Great place for the 21+-year-olds to escape the freshman infiltrated bars. Thursdays are all you can drink for $7 with a college student ID. It's worth it if you get there at a reasonable time and don't have to wait in line forever. The cups are small but that's the caveat to AYCD! I give it four stars because I'm not a huge fan of the music and the crowd can get a bit "weird" sometimes. I think if the DJ were to play some more current music instead of only early 2000's rap and pop, the vibe could be a little better. Came here with my friend whom I was visiting in TLH. This is definitely a college student spot, but what drew me to go was $10 entrance with ALL YOU CAN DRINK ALCOHOL! The catch, make sure you keep that cup of yours because if you lose it, you lose your right for AYCD all night! haha. Granted the drinks are weak, BUT you can ask for a splash of whatever is mixed with the alcohol for a stronger tasting drink, finish it quickly and grab another cup! I stuck with Vodka with a splash of soda the whole night. There's a few levels and from what I remember, the lower level was EDM music which I LOVE and the place upstairs was more R&B which was okay. Servers were nice, quick but got my order wrong sometimes. Understandable since working in such a demanding and busy environment, it's easy to mess up an order. Lines were long when we arrived, but we were very lucky since they opened a third door right in front of us while we were in line so we got in quickly. read more

Cheap alcohol for a cheap place. I've been to Bullwinkle's numerous times for a large group outing and was never impressed. Sure, by the time you've downed your 10th Ladies' night drink (mostly juice) you do think it's a pretty awesome place and love the bartenders and the wall and the floor... The times we've been, the inside was blaring club hits and you were most likely to be groped by the many obnoxious frat boys. On the outside was a live cover band, that wasn't very good but had a good vibe. The line for the ladies only bar was ridiculous, the bartender was kind of a jerk and their was barely any alcohol in the drinks, so you have to keep going back for more. (And I like to tip, so that kind of screwed me) Just like any night club, this place invites the creepy daterapers, so be careful with your cups and don't let a stranger by you a drink unless you get it directly from the bartender. I remember being under 21 and being warned to not try bringing a fake ID to Bulls because I wouldn't stand a chance. To be honest, I never got a fake because I'd rather waste money on other things. Anyway, Bulls was where any underaged student wanted to go. I'm not much of a go-out-and-drink-at-loud-places kind of gal, but I do love this place. How can you beat $10 AYCD? You can't. The only thing I wish they would change is using Coke products instead of Pepsi. (No one wants a Jack and Pepsi.) The crowd is always very eclectic which makes for good conversation when you're stuck waiting to get another drink at the bar. Prepare to wait in line to enter on busy nights because this place definitely gets packed. I personally recommend going early and getting banded or stamped (I don't remember which) before the crowd and then coming back later on. Well, after two years of hearing all about this place, I was obviously excited to go. However, I played it off like I couldnt careless, you know play it cool. The first time I went was on a Friday.....$10 AYCD top shelf.....not bad I say. We came in through the back to the beer garden. Had a couple of drinks in the Oh So Chill atmosphere outside, made out way upstairs to the top deck to watch some basketball on the big screen, and have some more drinks. I have to say, it felt so relaxing sitting under the stars at this bar. With the sound of a live band downstairs, we decided to check out inside. Oh man I was in heaven. Perfect music for dancing and hanging out. I left in just the right state of mind..... Of course I had to go back a couple of times last semester. And then this semester I decided to uhh splurge and get a Bulls Card. I paid $55 for the semester and I dont have to pay cover at all. So basically I get to drink for free until the beginning of August....Oh dang, that is dangerous! Bulls is the perfect hangout to get away from the drunken college freshman and just go with friends, dance, sit outside and chill, and drink copius amounts of alcohol. Tip: they make such a good Long Island. It gets pretty crowded the later it is but oh how I love this bar. Dangerous environment with a staff ill equipped to deal with it. Despite having many bouncers, they are incapable or unwilling to deal with men who sexually harass women, do not understand basic conflict management, and try to solve all problems with more free alcohol. The bar intself has great music, wonderful vibes, and and a great aesthetic, however, the lack of adequate training by the staff make it an unsafe environment unless you travel in large groups and know this before you go there. read more

I have never had a bad time at Bull's. The best night to go is Friday (for the drink specials and the crowd). The best thing about this place is that there's something for everyone. It's unpretentious, casual and unintimidating, especially if you don't usually go out. The inside is a large dance floor, which gets really crowded and lively by 11 or 11:30. There are 3 bar areas inside, but usually a line. You then walk outside on a porch and go down stairs to the main outside part, where there is a live band on stage and more bars. This outside area is much more chill and you can dance if you want, or find a place to sit and talk with friends. Outside there is an upper porch/balcony with yet more bars and a huge screen where they're usually playing ESPN, plus lots of picnic tables and seating. You can wear jeans (even shorts) or club dresses, it really doesn't matter here. You're guaranteed to run into someone you know and the music is always pretty good (the band and the DJ inside). The only downside is that a lot of people are smoking and you leave the place smelling of cigarettes. (Luckily it's pretty well ventilated, so if you have sensitivity to smoke you won't be coughing--you just can smell the stench.)There is a cop at the door and they are very strict about enforcing their 21+ policy. Also, the later you're there, the increased likelihood someone will spill their drink on you, or knock your drink out of your hand. Do not wear nice shoes, as they will inevitably get something spilled on them by the end of the night! If you like coming here more than once a month, get a Thirsty Moose Card! They are a great deal if this becomes your weekly hangout. read more

I went here with a group of guy friends on a Thursday night of college graduations. This place is on the FSU part of Tallahassee and caters toward a college age audience. It was unlimited wells for $10. So when we arrived we each got a cup to take the bar. I tried a cranberry vodka and I was better off drinking gasoline. I think the drink took a half a year of my life span from me! I ended up just going with non well drinks instead. There seemed to be one large room with a DJ and a really nice outdoor space. The DJ mainly played top 40 music which wasn't bad. The crowd was very casual. I enjoyed my time there but felt like I wasted money on the unlimited well offer. LOVE BULLS on top shelf night. Good drinks, great prices, and their bartenders are totally fair when they get busy. Even though it gets crazy busy, I never find myself fighting too hard for a drink. Recently rated #4 college bar in the US! No other bar in town offers AYCD top shelf liquor for over 5 hours! The fact that I can get as much Jameson as I want for 10 Bucks plus my tip... Is unheard of. Everywhere else in town a drink this potent can cost up to 12 bucks! The staff is crazy awesome and always having fun. Great vibe to feel after a long week to walk into a bar where I not only feel welcomed but like I'm part of the gang. Tipping always is the best way to catch anyone's attention- but who wouldn't want to tip if you're already drinking for FREE !? And they work their A*** off every night. If I could give zero stars I would. The bar was amazing. New favorite spot. During all you can drink til 1am I enjoyed drinks and tipped all my bartenders. Once it hit 1am, drinks were $4 a piece and I didnt tip the bartender Ashley on the iPad because I thought they would've shared tips or taken cash, but she took my drink back and then dumped it out. Literally took a drink I paid for and dumped it out and wouldn't give me my card back. I had no idea what to do and I was shocked. It was my first time here and I really liked the vibe and atmosphere and I'll definitely come back but I hope the bartenders are nicer. After being here 50+ times I think it was about time I wrote my review for Bulls. For the few years I have lived in Tallahassee I needed a fun bar to go to that was not completely barely legal and underage kiddos trying to get wasted and ruin the vibe. I was also in an awkward age where I did not feel the need to spend loads of money yet or to be sophisticated drunk. Bulls is where it is to be around people in their early 20s and while yes they are still getting super drunk, are at least more mature as much as college students can get. There is a strict ID check here and you have to be 21. No excepts no matter how sneaky you think you are. This place has history in Tallahassee and many of my friends' parents used to go here even back in their day. On most nights cover is $7 with a student ID and $10 for everyone else. Beware because some Fridays or Saturdays I have gotten charged $20. They offer Bulls Cards which are about $70 and they get you in free for the whole semester every night they are open. No matter how you pay, you get a little cup for all you can drink till 1am. These drinks are usually a beer or a mixed liquor drink of your choice. The latter is usually a shot of something mixed with soda or juice. For those that need more drinks you could of course order shots of anything, or you can upgrade your cup to one that is like 5 times the size so you don't have to constantly go back to the lines. It opens around 9pm, but does not get really crowded until 11pm. Once it is the busy time expect it to be loaded and crowded as a mosh pit. If you do not start early you may become grumpy and remain sober. Bulls is split into 3 levels. Upstairs is typically hip-hop and r&b music. Downstairs is like alternative/pop/edm type music. The outside upstairs area hears the music of the downstairs, but there is little room and it is more for chilling. Bathrooms are disgusting fyi. While I love coming to Bulls and I would vote Thursday as the best night to come, there are some downfalls. Parking is $5 if you cannot find street parking. You need to be patient with staff and understand that some bartenders can come off as rude and mean. Learn who they are and avoid them. Not sure if they only work for little pay or tips only, but they constantly slam the tip jars on the table because if you wave that $5 bill they will serve you above the ones who only want the free stuff. Overall this is one of the most ideal bars in this college town and if you want a FSU experience I definitely say Bulls is the way to go. read more

I've been to Bulls on many Friday nights, though I can't speak for any other day of the week. So, on Fridays... Pros: -It's only $10 to get in, with all the top-shelf liquor you can drink until 1 a.m. To me, the price alone makes it worth it! Anywhere else, two Bombay gin & tonics (my drink of choice) would set you back at least $14. -There is always live music, and the bands are pretty decent, as long as you like alt- rock. If you're not into the band, there's a DJ and a big dance floor in an adjacent room. Cons: -There's one bartender who's a HUGE (short) jerk, to put it nicely. He's usually working the bar on the upstairs deck. He's the main reason my husband hates the place. -I don't love the DJ's choice of music, it's danceable, but that's about it. It could just be personal preference. I stick to the live stuff. To sum it all up, I always have a great time at Bullwinkle's. I promise that you'll get more than your money's worth on Friday nights! read more

Fun atmosphere with great specials! I was no aware that it was $10 to get in but you get unlimited drinks afterwards! You're average sink or swim deal. For $7 more you get what I assume to be a 32 oz cup for sink or swim. I definitely thought it was worth it. It definitely got busy but there were more than enough bartenders so you didn't have to wait forever at the bar! MAJOR PLUS! Only complaint is that there isn't a lot of seating.. Maybe about 10 bar stools for a place that gets busy. I would definitely recommend this bar to any young person wanting to go out on the town in Tallahassee! read more
