Known for happy hour and Monday nights, Clyde's is conveniently located close to campus and right off college ave! They always have great drink specials but make sure you get pre banded before hand to avoid waiting in long lines. There are three versions of Clyde's. There is the legislative session Clyde's, the mid week watering hole Clyde's and the greek Clyde's. Each are very different, but all fun. Legislative Session Clyde's is my favorite simply because I work in that world. It is a great place to share gossip and pick up tips that can help save your bill or get you a meeting with an elected. One rare nights you might find an elected official singing karaoke (usually badly) at a questionable level of intoxication. Mid week watering hole Clyde's is when session is out and the locals are in need of gin & tonic. Super chill, price is right and not stuffy. Greek Clyde's typically happens around 10pm when fraternities and sororities have a mixer and crowd the bar. If you are a good looking single 20 something that can hang with a bunch of drunk college students this is your jam. read more

EVERYTIME I go to Clydes I have an incorrect charge on my card and have to call my bank because no one is ever at Clydes to answer the phone. I'm not so far gone that I don't check the receipt, and because of past events, I always keep my receipts from Clydes. So, when I intend to only spend $10 (minimum tab amount) on my card and clearly close the tab, but then see $13, $14.50, and even $15 charges from them on my statement, I know the bartenders are tipping themselves and that is not ok. Especially when I already tip with actually bills. I have stopped going to Clydes because I am sick of this issue, but felt like the world deserved to know. Clydes isn't worth the fraud charges - they are cheap drinks, but the service and treatment of customers is arguably the worst I have seen in Tallahassee. If you do go, do everything in cash. At least that way they can't steal from you. read more

Indian bartender went to pull the gate thing up to get into the bar and in the process spilled 3 drinks on me so i was wet and sticky for the whole night and he refused to get me new drinks or do absolutely anything about it, he was probably drunk on the job and im telling my whole sorority to not go there anymore. read more

Nice little funky bar with a cool mix of locals, students and lots of politicians when the legislature is in session. One of the few places near the capital to hang out if you are staying and doing business in the area. read more

Tally classic, if you haven't been must go. Been multiple times. I had some confusion over a charge my last time there. So I went down to figure it out and the owner was extremely gracious he thoroughly explained their process, and he granted me a refund on the charge in question. read more

Great, lively feel. Tucked away in downtown Tally, next to the Capitol. Mix of students and politicos, mostly aides and staffers. Decent drink selection with fast paced service. There was also some pretty competitive beer pong taking place. Only reason it misses 5 stars is the lack of available parking. read more

I waited 20 minutes for a simple vodka sprite because the bartenders feel sorority girls who waltz up to the bar should be served before me. They passed me several times to serve the Greek girls. I even specifically asked a guy standing behind the bar to get me a drink and he shook his head at me. Then my card was charged $25 for that $3 drink. The service is horrible. WHAT A DUMP!!! This place has always been a hang out for college students but it has steadily deteriorated. The floor is coming apart, the ladies room sink was off the wall and the stalls didn't close. The men's room stinks more than a porta potty. There are holes in the wall too. The only night you ever want to go there is during the Downtown Get Down, which happens on baseball or football weekends, which means you'll get a mix of a crowd. Otherwise when you go there, everyone is looking down their nose at you unless you're a lawyer, lobbyist, or politician. Including the bar owner. Even during something open ended like karaoke, you are made to not feel welcome. I walked in wearing new khakis, some old dress shoes, and a dress shirt, no tie. Granted I was a little under-dressed compared to all the suits, but there is no posted dress code, and it's not like I was ragged. I ordered a drink, no real problems there, took out a book, even started making conversation with strangers over the karaoke book, which was pleasant. I went up, sang my song, was a little rough, still warming up. Came back down. Next time I walked up to the stage to put in my 2nd song, I was informed that the club owner didn't want me singing again and I was denied. At *karaoke*. It's *supposed* to be terrible, and it's not like I was making a scene. I finished my one drink and did not leave a tip. Do not give C&C your patronage any time of the year unless you make over $75k. Admit it, you know what you came here for and you know what you are getting yourself into. Frat Central for sure. Known for their Happy Hours filled with large beer drinks known as Lunchboxes or Tailor Mades, this place is trashy but sometimes a fun time. It gets crowded and tight as a pea-pod and you will definitely spill some of your drink at some point. Some people get plastered here and get very aggressive while others are looking for a hookup. Guys with tank tops and their aloha wannabe shirts and the girls with short jean shorts. It is the thing and I am guilty of coming here over 10 times probably. It is practically impossible to have a regular conversation here since the music is super loud and the dancing can get a bit much. There is an upstairs area where you can look down at everyone below (yet the ones upstairs tend to drip their drinks and throw ice cubes down below too). There is usually outdoor patio seating where you can chill and get some fresh air from this musty bar, but still be aware of the crowds. If you are coming with you FSU friends then they will probably enjoy it to some extent. $10 minimum on credit cards, and most drinks are about $5. read more

Let's be honest this place is no better than a Coleman tent inside of a U-Haul Storage unit with some strangely aggressive bouncers that'll tackle you for tapping your buddy on his shoulder to ask you to get an extra drink. You know when you have a cavity and it's painful but you can't stop sucking the air in to remind yourself the pain is still there? Yeah thats about how almost everyone of us feel. But at least after you wash down a few Crystal P's with some mexican tap water water/lime you'll be feeling like you just celebrated the birth of christ at Club Liv with 2000 of your closest friends. 8.5/10 would still return though. read more
