They were really patient with us as we walked in when we were chosing what escape room we wanted to try. It's split by difficulty level and he was nice enough to patiently show us all the options and their trailers. The whole VR experience was great. This is different than a normal escape room where there are riddles, but the programmers got really creative! You can drink potions, catch flying keys, throw things... Our helper, Sam, was really wonderful and helpful. He even helped us record us during our VR so we can see how silly we were. I would definitely come back and recommend this place. It was safe, organized, and really fun.

We had the whole place to ourselves so didn't have to worry about the boys getting split up, or random people being around. We were able to bring in our own food and drinks, and the kids came and ate as they pleased. If I throw my son a party next year, we will likely come back here. It's a 20 min drive from Solana Beach, but well worth it.

The whole process was very smooth for us. I am someone who loves zombies and horror but gets very easily scared. I was really worried that I would get too freaked out, but I ended up having a lot of fun! It was a little bit of a workout. I was sweating by the end. It was also really cool that, if you're celebrating a birthday, they'll give you a little birthday celebration at the end. 10/10 would go back.

It's a VR play store where they have individual stalls (about 8) each equipped with a screen, one VR headset, and hand remotes. You can play by yourself or join someone else's game in the other stalls. There's a 100 different games to choose from. There are also 2 virtual driving stations. Due to the complexity of using the remotes, I'd say these activities are best suited for 7-8 year olds and above. They also do birthday packages which I'm sure are popular among the kids. The owner Jordan is awesome. He is super friendly and helpful. I don't know how he does it but he is able to manage all 8 individual stalls and troubleshoot for each person right away. You pay every 30 min. They offer happy hour which is half off Monday-Thursday from 5pm to close. So we paid $10 for 30 mins for each stall which was a good deal. They also have a punch card so the more you play, the more free play time you can earn. My kids are already asking to go back lol :p we shall return soon for more fun!

It was a pretty different experience from the setup, logistics, type of VR, the technology, the equipment and event the space (although there was a shell of the former spot). It was a pretty decent experience for a first timer with little VR experience, but it was objectively not as great as the previous place. The spacing and detection software was less accurate and the shooting game was almost unrealistic in terms of our ability to keep up with storyline and not die.
