After being turned away from Another groomer who didn't want to deal with all my fur babies hair I was left frantic looking for a groomer last min I found too groomer took my baby inside for an estimate and Esther said she would try her best when I picked my baby up he looked like a whole new dog he was so beautiful she took her time it was worth every penny definitely recommend this place
Been coming to Top grooming for a year now and I always love how my sheepadoodle comes out. The ladies are super friendly and it's easy to get appointments here. Highly recommend!
I don't recommend bringing your fur babies to this groomer. About an hour after we brought Coco home from his grooming session, we noticed he kept scratching his left eye and it seemed irritated - his eye was very watery and half closed. As the day progressed, he was clearly very uncomfortable and his eye got worse (more watery and more shut). When he woke up the next day, he had a lot of eye buggers and his eye was fully shut. We examined his eye better and noticed he had hair in his eye that was causing so much irritation. We even had to consult with the vet on a Sunday for his eye issue. He may have looked cute groomed, but it was NOT worth his pain and discomfort, or for us seeing him like that. The worst part is that this unfortunately isn't the first time this has happened after taking him to this groomer. We thought maybe once was a one-off occurrence, but this is the second time it has happened and it has only happened with this groomer. We have not had this experience with other groomers. We don't know what happened - it seems like hair may have been blown into his eye both times - but it shouldn't be happening at all.
I've taken my dog here a couple times and had never had a negative experience until two weeks ago. I took my dog for a full grooming and picked her up. I thought everything was fine, however, when I got home it appeared as if she had a couple cuts around her stomach area (which she did not have prior to her grooming). Over the next few days, the area worsened and it appeared to be a rash. I took her to her veterinarian and I was informed that she had gotten a severe skin infection, which they believed could have been from the grooming facility using dirty clippers. The vet said she had a skin infection all over her body and would need a antibiotic shot and also be on medicated baths twice a week for approximately 4 weeks. I proceeded to call the groomers and was answered by who I believe the be the owner. I asked if they sanitized their clippers daily and I was told misinformation. First she said they sanitized their clippers during closing and opening time and when I asked why they wouldn't do it in between each dog she suddenly claimed they also do that. She also asked if my dog was known to have skin allergies or problems and I told her she's never had any health problems like this before. At the moment, she sounded genuinely concerned. She told me to text her pictures of my dog and also of the area infected area so she could inquire with her staff about who cut her hair and what could have happened. I sent her the information she requested and never heard back from her. She never called or texted me to apologize or offer some sort of compensation or explanation. And given the fact that she never reached out I doubt she was being honest when she claimed they sanitize each clippers used after every single dog that is groomed.
My dog Morris loves it here. He got his summer cut and is now getting a lot of compliments!

I was ecstatic to find out there's a groomer so close to home, so with my fur baby, Prime, due for grooming, I called to make an appointment. We arrived on our allocated time (noon today.) The whole area looked nice - they even had a photo booth of sorts set up - so first impression (in terms of appearance) was good. Esther came out and had me complete paperwork. I'm not sure what was happening, but I didn't feel too "welcomed." (Not sure if that makes sense.) They didn't require what most groomers do: VACCINATION STATUS. I brought a copy and offered it to them, but Esther said there was no need. She mentioned it was gonna be about 2-3 hours. Prime was naturally hesitant since he knew I was about to leave him to strangers. I watched them place and harness him on the table and hungout for a few minutes to let him know I wasn't just dropping him off and bailing out. Esther then snarks at me, "Are you gonna wait?" Dang, who woke up on the wrong side of the bed! I waited patiently for their call to let me know he was ready to come home. They did call within the 2-3hr mark. Cost was $65 (I also tipped in cash.) And then that's when Esther started complaining. "He moved too much, so it was difficult." (Uhmmm... aren't you trained for situations like this? They can't possibly expect ALL fur babies to "behave" especially when they're being left to strangers.) "We couldn't use the clippers around his head and face, only scissors." (Assuming because he "moved too much" as she previously mentioned. But then.... you shouldn't be using clippers around his head and face to begin with!) I heard a dog whining and asked if that's Prime and she responds with, "Yes, it is." paired with a very clear annoyed look. (Turns out, it wasn't Prime. It was a Frenchie in one of the kennels.) She then asked how he is with other groomers. I told her he's paranoid at first (which is why I hangout for a few to show him I wasn't "abandoning" him) but builds rapport with staff immediately, so it's a little odd that he acted otherwise here. Overall, she just didn't seem happy we came through and couldn't wait to be rid of us. Prime couldn't wait to get outta there as well. When he got home, he was lethargic and didn't feel like playing (when he normally does.) He went straight to bed. (That was a couple of hours ago. He still slumbers as I write this.) I hate the thought that the trauma he went through might have been needlessly more than necessary... He does look and smell good. I'll give them that at least. Possible one and done...
Friendly, fast, and amazing staff! Usually drop off my pups and ready within less than 2 hours. They are amazing with my little kiddos. Recommend 1000%

I have a wire-haired little schnoodlewith curlyques at the ends of her ears, who I think is pretty easy to groom. Usually just needs the basics: bath, ear cleaning, sanitary trim and nail trim. Making the appointment was easy enough. They picked up the phone on the first try. They were able to take her in the next day! I was desperate because she needed her anal glands expressed and I wasn't able to take her down to her usual groomer in Huntington Beach. I did check out this yelp page and acknowledge that I did see all the photos of the dogs with short haircuts... but I figured all I had to do was tell them "no haircut" and they wouldn't... like... who would go through all that extra trouble right? Well I said it several times, and they even wrote it down on their slip of paper. So I'm not sure where the miscommunication occurred... because when I picked up my pupper, it was very very obvious that they had cut her hair. It was a very blunt cut that took away her curlyques... among other cuts as well. I was too shocked to say anything. I just paid and left. My dog still smelled good, was clean, all the basics were done well... but I was devastated that they didn't listen and cut her hair. If they couldn't follow that instruction, what else could be missed? What would happen next time? Its not a bad grooming place, but only if that is the style you are looking for. All in all, my dog doesn't notice a difference at all but I do not plan on returning.
**Excellent customer service *** *** very clean and very cute place*** She did amazing job on my baby! She did a summer haircut cut very low. That's exactly what I wanted it's summertime and it's barely in the 80s if I'm hot, my pup has to be extra hot with all that fur. Not only, but when I picked up my pup, she gave me dog cookies. That was so sweet! Can't wait to come back again. ***TIPS*** CALL ahead and see if you need an appointment or can you do walk-ins. Has a photo booth for you and your pup. They also have dog supplies, food or snacks. I did see a sign that said cash or debit card only. I paid cash so I didn't ask about that. It's in a small shopping center. You can't park in the back on the lefthand side. That's for ambulance parking only. Just incase to don't see the sign. There's also a sandwich shop in that shopping center there that looks very busy so if you don't want to leave you can have a bite there.

I brought in two dogs that I was sitting for a friend who hadn't groomed them since covid was a thing for us here. I made an appointment by calling. The grooming technicians were extremely friendly. They did a wonderful job cutting the Schnoodle's hair down into a summer cut so she wouldn't be so uncomfortable. The other was a chihuahua and they evened her fur out. The price is better than most other places near by. read more

I loved this place the moment I walked in. Our dog had not received a professional haircut and my scissor hands were leaving our cutie looking run down. The haircut our pup Xuxa received was a 10/10! We'll be back! read more

I was really hoping to love this place. It's conveniently located down the street from the freeway. The salon is very cute and well decorated, I was attended well by the groomer and was asked specifics as to what I wanted. They were even flexible in allowing me to take him to his vet appointment and bring him back to finish the haircut. I was unable to pick him up myself as I had a work constraint but my brother picked him up for me. This is why I wasn't able to say anything to the groomers about them not shaving his feet like I had requested. They had quoted me $120 and ended up charging $180 (before tip). He's a large dog and it's difficult finding reputable groomers that take big dogs so I agreed but was sorely disappointed to find that they didn't shave his feet, his ears were dirty, and he wouldn't stop licking his privates which led to me discovering his irritated skin. I wish they would have told me about his skin so I could have treated it right away with some ointment. He did smell nice and his fur was very soft but it's the details that have us continuing our search for the right groomer. read more

I usually wash my dog at home so this was Banana's first time at a groomers. It was well worth the trip because not only did we get a nice clean wash & dry, it was also the quickest and most effortless nail clipping she has ever gotten! It usually requires at least three grown adults to hold her down to get her nails clipped, but Esther was able to masterfully do it herself with no yelping from Banana! The workspace at the groomers was so spacious and clean, and the waiting area was wide open so I could give my dog the attention she needed the entire time! My puppy is sensitive af. I get nervous when bringing her to a new groomer. Esther, the groomer was nice enough to take her time to get to know and make my puppy creamy relax and feel comfortable. I won't mind driving 14 miles for this place. This is now creamy's favorite spot for the bath. read more

My sister recommended this shop a few months ago right after they opened. I've only been there once so far because it's actually quite a drive from my home. I have a stafford pitt.. She's really calm and loving so I'm not really worried about where I take her.. But my husband is really uptight about everything especially when it comes to our dog. We really loved our experience there because you can tell a lot about a shop from the owner. The owner is really kind and you can tell she loves animals. She groomed our dog with so much love and respect. She also uses great products and sanitizes as she goes. This place is an absolute gem!! Thanks Sung! read more

I don't really write reviews since I do not feel comfortable sharing my thoughts with others as every person has their own perspective and likes. But, I've been peeking at this place ever since construction was going on since it's a walking distance from my place. I was so happy when they finally opened and had the chance to take my baby Chloe for bath and some trimming. The owner Esther was so thoughtful and kind. She knew exactly what kind of trimming I wanted and even cleaned Chloe with a shampoo that did not smell cheap like normal grooming places. I am definitely coming back here. Seems like my first review got deleted. Today was my second time taking my dogs to Top Grooming. This time I brought my other dog, chihuahua, as I really liked the groomer when I brought my schnauzer mix. Just like the first time, I'm very satisfied with the service! This is the best groomer I've been to in Los Angeles. They treat the dogs so nicely! The cages are very large and humane! The place is very clean and pretty! My dog went in looking crazy and came out looking amazing! She doesn't have a single cut on her and she smells amazing! I love the bows and the little treats she was given at the end!!! My fur baby had what I thought an appointment with his groomer. When I get there it turns out he was never placed on the schedule. An appointment I made since the first days of December since he gets groomed every 4 wks, so the "real" 9 am appointment was already there so they offered they could groom him 4 days later so I said I'd call back and left, pretty upset because this was the 2nd time this happened but the first time the mistake was caught so they called me and rescheduled him. Long story short my baby needs his grooming so I go on YELP and find this place, great reviews and close to my house. I call and they schedule him an appointment for 3 hrs later. I walk in and the place is very cute, clean and spacious, Max walks right in without a problem. He's a Bichon Frise so I showed them a pic of what I wanted they told me what they could do. 3 hrs later they call me to pick him up. He looked AMAZING!!! he smelled so good and he didn't even pay attention to me when he heard my voice lol. I think he knows he looks good too This is where he'll be going to from now on!!! Excellent place!!! Took my frenchie, Charlie, and they did an awesome job taking off all the excess fur. They even trimmed his nails, bathed and blowdried his hair. We're coming back for sure. Here he is in all his glory looking and smelling like a nice loaf of bread lol. read more

The owner Esther did an AMAZING job with my senior dog! She trimmed the hair around my dog's face and made her look like a puppy again. I am completely satisfied with the look. I will definitely be going back every month for her grooming. Price is so affordable and great customer service. Esther went above and beyond for what I asked for. Esther even trimmed the hair on her paws and my dog smells so good! The best my dog's ever looked since we've adopted her. Thank you so much to Top Grooming!!!! read more

My Bear Bear looks sooo good !! And the facility was clean ,pretty, and smelt good . The groomer was very gentle! Bear Bear fur was tangled and she was able to still give him a perfect cut i would highly recommend this place read more

It's been several months since our dog has been to a professional groomer, but I'm so glad we came in. Nikki (our dog) can get nervous at grooming appointments but when we came to pick her up, she didn't want to leave Esther's side! Esther was super professional and friendly, and the shop was clean and nicely decorated. She accommodated our request to use the shampoo we brought, but Nikki's fur ended up being softer than ever even with that same shampoo. Looking forward to coming back again! read more

I was looking for a new place for my dog Chula and I found top grooming on yelp. I was pleased to find the place very clean and neat it was gated so my dog couldn't get out. The groomers were very nice and when I made my appointment and came to pick up my dog she was beautiful they sent me pictures when they were ready and I was very please. read more

I did a Yelp look up for dog grooming in Gardena area found Top Grooming which had five stars which was a win local and 5 stars. Called and made an appointment for the next day The owners were very very nice the facility was extremely clean it was also completely gated so your pets could not get out. The Grooming area was open so when you walked in you could see exactly what was going on with your pet. I was truly impressed with Top Grooming would never take my dogs to another groomer. My pets were very happy and knew they looked beautiful. They also sent you pictures of how you pet looked when ready to pick up. Also received treats and a cute bow on their collar. read more
