I can't recommend this place enough! Arthur was extremely sweet and took great care of our rescue dog Annie. We had tried to take her to another groomer and were told they wouldn't take her back unless she was on sedatives! Being a rescue I know she's not very trusting so I read many reviews and pet set grooming seemed like it was worth a shot. I am SO glad we took Annie here! You can tell that Arthur really has a passion for what he does. He was so gentle and sweet with our girl, I knew she was in good hands. Mr. Arthur is incredible! I came on the recommendation of my parents. They have a rescue shih tzu with anxiety issues so they'd gone through more than a few groomers. So today I met Arthur the pet groomer. I am keeping a friends dog and her name is Minnie. She is a poodle that have carpet curly locks and was in a desperate need of a good full service grooming, top to bottom. When I say Arthur transformed her into a beauty queen, I am not exaggerating. The care Arthur poured into her was incredible and generous. Minnie is a sweet calm well mannered girl. Her attitude and her smile shows how good she feels. I can't praise Arthur skills enough. He himself is very pleasant, kind and honest. He has old school business mannerism which is very welcoming, in today Is hard to find and rare. Daryl makes our pooch look like a champion and although our doodle hates to be brushed, Daryl has a gentle touch which changes the game. Once we earned the trust of care received at The Pet Set, we used their boarding. We selected the Penthouse option and we have had no problems. With a daycare camera we can and so watch for any problems and we have not seen any. I highly recommend The Pet Set for grooming and daycare/boarding. My Maltese was looking super rough, and needed some TLC. After looking at many places online, I found Arthur! This guy is like a dog whisperer, he did a wonderful job with my baby boy... bathing, removing all matts from his fur, trimming face and ear area, anal glands, clipping nails, and cleaning out his ears. Also, my dog was very happy leaving... He was clearly in good hands, had a big smile on his face! Arthur is such a darling. He really makes you feel connected and comfortable with leaving your pets here. It's assured that he'll take great care of your precious little ones. If you can look past location, this place offers great service in pet grooming. Arthur does the job quick and by the time that you tell him you need your pets to be done. I came here when I first brought my kitty home from the shelter, all dirty and long-nailed. Arthur adores animals - practically praises my cat on her behavior. She always comes home clean, smelling fresh, and nails cut. The first time I picked up my kitty, Arthur was sitting with her in his lap, filing down her nails and she loved the pampering. Prices are good. $20-25 for kitten bath and nail cutting (I'm assuming prices may be similar). The charge went up to $30 when my cat grew older/bigger. Note though that as of recently, this place is cash only. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place. W O W. I am soooo happy! this place is a little hidden and looks interesting when you walk in, but after meeting Arthur, my heart melted. You know those people that you meet and you just get SUCH a good vibe? Well, Arthur made me feel just that. Ok on with the service, so I dropped my baby off (my 2 year old puppy) and came back to find her so clean, and her hair was cut sooo well, just the right amount. Perfect. To put the cherry on top, he put 2 peach colored tiny bows by each ear. And the price was incredible... I know I rambled but I just can't get over the time, care, and love he put into her. And of course after we bought an adorable house, we decided to populate it with equally adorable dogs. Now, when it came to picking a place to groom the puppies....not gonna lie....I had certain criteria: 1) Must be a groom only place. Say what you will about Petco or Petsmart, but I've just had inconsistent experiences in the past when I've used their grooming services. I'm happy to shop there for treats, etc., but I'll no longer groom there. 2) Must be located in Gardena. After moving to the city, I prefer to try and support folks and businesses in the city of Gardena. (I know, that's quirky). 3) Reviews on Yelp had to be 4 stars or better. Not knowing who to trust with a member of your family - I had to trust that my fellow yelpers would not steer my wrong. Plus, one of my pups doesn't like strangers, so the groomer would have to be extra sensitive to that. I made an appt. to bring in the pups being anxious and nervous considering my Papillion/Shiz Tsu mix, Zelda was not keen on strangers. And just not sure how Link - our Chihuahua mix would behave. I walked in with them and Arthur is just a pro. He assured me that it would fine. He called a few hours later and Link & Zelda looked incredible. Arthur is so detailed and very sweet with them. We've now been taking them to Arthur every 3-4 weeks for over 6 months and couldn't be happier. read more

Arthur is a wonderful person. He is so kind to my kiddos... Great price, superb customer service. Arthur takes time to know his clients needs and wants. He told my wife that he can't wait for our daughter to bring her fury siblings to the groomers, it made her cry. One review said that he never answers, we'll it's only him carrying for your kiddos, so if he can't answer well I guess he can't answer (not worth giving a one star review, shame). Can't say enough good things about this place, but it will continue to be my first choice. We found Arthur through yelp and ventured out with the doggies for nail clipping. Im glad the place is close to the close. Dont judge the outside appearance Of Mr Arthur's shop, he kinda eclectic but as soon as he sees your dogs, he will melt your heart. He talked us through why dogs hate their nails clipped. Our chichi is always muzzled up when he gets his nails clipped in other groomers but we were surprised he behaved, apparently the other places cut the quick and dogs develop hate after that. We loved the way Arthur handled our chichis we left them for a whole grooming package. He gave us a planner as a Xmas gif! How sweet. We will definitely be back! read more

We just move to The area in July. Our mostly indoor cats got fleas and neither Advantage or Frontline resolved. We decided to have them flea dipped while having the house sprayed for fleas and needed someplace close. Two days before our appointment my husband and I walked over to meet Arthur as we were nervous, our cats had never been bathed other than their own baths. We were a little unsure of the area and the place but we were quickly comforted when we meet Arthur As he is a very kind and caring man. My husband picked up the boys in the afternoon and they were both very calm and at ease. What a reassuring reaction to this experience. We will return with out a doubt. read more

Arthur is great. I took in a cat that needed a home and he was dirty and shedding a lot when we got him. I got on Yelp and saw Arthur had good reviews from cat owners. My bf took him in and as we are first time cat owners he gave him great advice on how to handle him and get him use to our dog. After that he took our dog Molly and she likes going there it helps that his dog Scruffy is there to greet all the dogs. I recently picked up another dog off the street and brought him in.
