It's also perfect for families with picky kids because they can each choose the pizza they want. There's no extra cost to order a half and half pizza and that is really unheard of nowadays. Most restaurants want to nickel and you to death but not here. Topps Pizza is definitely a hidden gem in town and I highly recommend them. Some people complain about the price but compared to national chain restaurant the price is just fine for the quality of food you're getting.

Really delicious new pizza joint of the New York/New Jersey variety. The owner and his daughter were working there when I stopped by yesterday and I spoke with him for a few min as he prepped and cooked my pizza. They just moved here from Jersey and everything from the oven to the crust, cheese a sauce is legit east coast style. All hand tossed, no frozen dough here and he custom built that oven to make sure it cooked like he wanted it too. He gets the cheese from Wisconsin and I believe he told me he makes the sauce too. Pizza was hot and delicious. I got a plain with mushrooms and a custom. I'd recommend not getting too many toppings and let the pizza speak for itself (tip from owner). Small, quaint and non-chain/family owned. Not pricy at all, garlic knots were money too. 2 pizzas and garlic knots for $21. We had lots of leftovers that were almost as good reheated. I have searched for and consumed many New York-style pizzas in my life. My most memorable one was from a Pizzeria in New Jersey just across from New York City. I was always told that you can't find good New York-style pizza outside the New York area in part due to the water used in the dough. I always accepted that this was the case and never really thought I'd find a legitimate pie elsewhere... Until today. My family and I recently moved to Tyler, Texas from the Seattle, WA area and to date, we really hadn't looked for a good local pizzeria - we had many in Seattle. Today, we found Top It Off and my wife, son and I found it to be amazingly authentic for New York pizza. It was literally the best since that one I mentioned above in New Jersey in 1986! I don't have a long profile of writing reviews on any social media site, but my experience was so good, I had to share! We will be back! read more

Spoke with Top It Off and Yelp pulled my review AGAIN. Hopefully this will reach anyone who read its in time before this goes back down. Best Pizza in the town of Tyler. I have eaten quite a few places here over the past few months (trying to research the area as I just moved a while back). The bread is my favorite part, second to the sauce they slow cook for hours each day. Fresh ingredients and cheap prices. Most places have a medium for $10 or so (12 inch) where this place has "personal pizzas" for $6.50 (12 inches as well) . They bring me bread sticks just cause sometimes if I am being polite with everyone. Friendly atmosphere to sit in and dine or takeout. I do not think they do delivery just yet; you must use Waiter to get delivery. Note: This is not "Tops Pizza". That is a different place that in the ghetto down the road. read more

Finally! A place that makes a New York style pizza that actually tastes like a New York style pizza. With a bonus in that they also make cannoli! Absolutely wonderful! My only gripe is the oddity that a plain 18" pie costs $15 but to add the first topping costs you $20. Then $2 a topping after that. $5 for one topping seemed excessive (since I usually just get pepperoni only). But paying $20 for a one topping 18" really isn't that bad. Especially since it tastes so good. So that's not enough to drop my review below 5 stars as I have found my new favorite pizza joint! read more

This is ABSOLUTELY the best pizza I've ever had. John and his daughter Melanie are the owners. Super friendly and sweet! They moved here over the summer from New York and brought their 45 year old pizza ovens with them. Ovens cook pizza from below instead of on top. John's sauce and dough are his own recipe, made fresh every day. Nothing frozen or from a jar here! Crust is thin and crispy and the cheese is amazing. Go check 'em out! One of the things we missed coming back to Texas from being in New York for 2 decades was the pizza. Top It Off Pizza is authentic New York style pizza and the only place in the area which even comes close to being authentic. Their rolls and calzones are amazing as well. If you want unflavored tomato sauce overly thickened with tomato paste on a piece of cardboard topped with skim milk cheese, or premade frozen pizza dough, go to any other pizza shop but this one. read more

Have ordered several times and have never been disappointed. I would like to add that the cheesecake is way overpriced. $5.50 for a small slice.
