For several years my sunroof has leaked and I've been too lazy to do anything about it except try to dry the floorboard out after even the slightest rain. I called the place where I usually get my car worked on and they recommended Top King. After reading other reviews, I was convinced. I called them about an appointment, but was assured, I could get one, but didn't really need one. So I stopped by one afternoon and the guy came out to test for the leak, and was really good at explaining the situation. My dad was a mechanic, so I'm not just your typical girl at the car shop, so I appreciate when they don't treat you like a dumb broad, etc. He gave his recommendation about fixing the leak and an estimate. He couldn't be 100% sure of the issue without doing the work, since he'd have to dismantle things first. I was a little worried about paying money to fix it and it still be broken or that wouldn't be the actual problem, or it'd break again, so I told him I had been considering some other options and he agreed that was a good option too and would cost the same, so we went with that. He told me it would take about an hour. I was able to leave my car, which he said was great because then he could do an extra step that would take an extra hour (double sealing basically). My old clunker still runs, but I hate to spend a lot of money on it unless I really have to due to it's age, so it was great to patch it up at a reasonable cost and get a lot more life out of it (without it smelling like a swamp after it rains). read more

A few weeks ago, my van's sunroof opened, by itself, and then wouldn't close. This isn't good on any level. I took it to a dealership thinking they'd be alarmed by it opening on its own and would fix it free, or on the cheap. Turns out it was an after factory sunroof, and they couldn't work on it if they wanted to, because they didn't have the schematics. OK. Took it to my usual mechanic, only to hear the same thing. They have no way of working on it without knowing the schematics, etc. They suggested Top King, a roof specialists. Very well. I couldn't get the van to Top King for a few days, so I had the need for a temporary sunroof cover. Now, the only thing I could think of was garbage bag and duct tape. But I live in JoCo and they would evict me if I drove around like that. Not up in here! I asked my mechanic if there was some professional solution to this and he replied, "garbage bag and duct tape." In your face, JoCo. Took the van to Top King to see if they could do anything. The guy saw me in less than 10 minutes. I asked for 2 estimates: One to just close the sunroof, not caring if it ever works again; Another to fix the thing. He immediately replied, "I can close it for $80, and if you decide to fix it, I'll apply the $80 to that bill." I just had him close it for $80, but it's nice to know I can apply that to the fix. Top King does mods for cars... leather and moonroofs and entertainment equipment. Even the occasional performance upgrade. MANY area dealers have cars modified here. I bought a Nissan Altima at Keystone and had a moonroof and leather put in the base model car. The installation squeaked a lot so I gave it a season of weather and temperature change before calling the dealer and going to Top King. They fixed it and were very nice about the whole scenario. And I like the leather Top King did better than the factory installations I have had. read more

After work last week, I dropped off the gray center console cover for my 2001 Avalon. My elbow had worn a hole through the leather. Got a call the next morning at 9 that it was ready. Recently I had the cloth interior of my car replaced with leather and am very pleased with TopKing. The price was reasonable (I did shop around), the leather is far better than what the car manufacturer offers both in price and durability, and TopKing was able to get the job completed in less than one business day. I paid extra for the heated seats and TopKing used the OEM seat switches I provided, so the installation looks factory! I have been so happy with the leather that I showed it to some friends who are now considering having it installed in their car, by TopKing of course. Recommended. read more

Recently, my sunroof (installed at the dealership, not at Top King) began to leak air. Then, the glass began to separate from the track. I took it to Top King this morning at the recommendation of my usual mechanic. They took care of the problem while I waited and I thought the price was very reasonable. The sunroof is now quieter than it has ever been since I bought the car. I recommend these folks for this type of work. read more

My daughter was having problems with her sunroof (leaking and it wouldn't close) and since she is in college 922 miles away from home we sent her to Top King for them to look at it. I had read good reviews on them and explained that she was a college student hoping they would help her. After she got there, they told her it would be $160 to just close it permanently - that they couldn't fix it. She looked at them like "are you crazy? $160 just to close it" and then they started jumping around on prices (went from $160 to $100 with a couple of other numbers thrown in there). She came back to her college and a student there purchased some WD40, cleaned the trash out from the track and took the pad out from the inside of the car (didn't fit well). He got the sunroof closed, doesn't leak anymore and didn't charge her a penny. Sorry but I don't recommend this place. read more
