Top line sold us a series of Jenn Air lemons - stove, oven, dishwasher and fridge. Despite promising excellent after sales service, it was routinely terrible and required special insider knowledge to actually get it done. i purchased a professional gas range and a professional range hood to match. I chose the brand to match and the hood had specific measurements for ducting that fit my situation. After waiting several weeks longer then they said it would take. the hood did not match the online specifications. I waited 2 weeks to here from " the rep" about this. I called the manufacturer and got the rep on the phons_ he was never contacted by Top Line. Great accept he was no help. So I returned the brand new hood never even fully out of the box, and im still waiting for my credit several weeks. /They have called to see if I dicided on a new hood, but never took care of my credit for the first. bottom Line ....they know very little about what they sell and customer service is non existent. you can go anywhere and get the same appliances at the same price with better service read more

I have never received worse customer service anywhere. After spending over $30,000 on kitchen appliances I have a $12,000 refrigerator that has not worked since the day it was installed. Bought our washer here a few years back. When it started to malfunction, we contacted them. They responded quickly, made sure we knew that we were no longer under warranty & told us the cost of the service charge up front- even recommend trying a reset before our appointment. Within a few days someone came out to diagnose the situation. They explained the cost to complete the repair w/the necessary part & explained our options cleary. We paid for the repair, they ordered the part & had it shipped to us. When we notified them that we got it-they promptly scheduled the repair & even provided an approximate time they would arrive & sent a head's up message when they were on their way. All in all an easy & pleasant experience-the epitome of what customer service is supposed to be. They will be our go to for purchasing & servicing appliances from now on considering that they only service appliances purchased thru them. We appreciate their respectful attitude & thoroughness ( rarely seen nowadays). read more

We bought a new fridge, stove, microwave, and dishwasher from Top Line. Adam, our salesperson, was great at staying in touch with us, explaining details, and answering questions. The prices were competitive for what we had ordered. We placed our order in February, and they were happy to hold the order for us since we were targeting an April/May renovation. However, when COVID-19 got in the way and pushed everything back, Top Line was more than willing to hang onto the appliances until we were ready. Not once did they pressure us to take delivery, and they were VERY patient with us as we pushed the delivery date back and back. The delivery itself was scheduled within a two-hour window, and arrived within that window. The gents who delivered them took great care to avoid damaging the house or the appliances. This place has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. My temp probe broke on my stove and I called not once, not twice but three times and all three times they said they'd take care of it and send me one. I've had it and just ordered one on Amazon which I should've done from the beginning. The first call the guy says, "Oh, there's one right here, I'll throw it in the mail today." Let me start by saying I've purchased from Top Line on more than one occasion. In this case, we bought a matching washer and dryer. Waited over a month. They were delivered on Jan 8, 2021. Seemed ok for a while (a year, 18 months) but then my clothes weren't coming clean. Maytag sent a repair person who fixed the agitator. Fast forward 7 months, it broke down again. Another repair, this time because it wasn't working. Now, 6 months later, it flooded my laundry room. Maytag is content to let it continue breaking down because "it has a warranty". Went to Top Line, spoke with Alec Eisen, asked if they could intervene. He wrote up an email to their service department. After getting no response from service, my husband called them. Gail finally called me (we asked her to call my husband, as I would be at work). She and Maytag, on the phone, agreed they would do nothing and I could keep getting repairs. She was unsuccessful at getting Maytag to give me some sort of gift card for my aggravation. Called Alec to update him and that was that. I won't be buying another Maytag. Then, Andre calls me (unsolicited). When I disagreed with his contention that Top Line had done all they could, he said "I can't do anything else for you, and I really don't want to do anything for you." We only wanted them to intervene on our behalf as a retailer who buys large quantities of appliances. There was no need to be rude. Seems to me Top Line only cares about the Bottom Line. read more

Paid to have all appliances installed. The refrigerator was NOT installed it was dropped off without hooking up water/ice maker. Refused to come out to hookup without an additional 60.00 trip fee. My wife and I had been previous customers on a couple of occasions. We had purchased a $3,000 refrigerator/freezer and a stove when we moved into our new house. The customer service back then was fantastic, hence why we wanted to go back. We've referred people over the past couple of years due to positive experiences. I don't know what happened. My wife and I visited today (4/5/2018) at 3:00 pm and we were the only customers in the store. The place was empty accept for the 2 employees. One employee was on the phone....didn't sound like a business call and the other employee was behind a desk shuffling papers. To make a long story short, we were ignored. We couldn't get anyone to help us with purchasing a large outdoor BBQ. The employee shuffling papers never left his chair but told us he had a few in the back and a few out front. My wife and I eventually found what he was referring to in the back and then compared them to the outside. We walked inside and back outside on at least 3 occasions and made up our mind on the bigger and fancier one. Nobody approached us after being there a total of 15 minutes. To get to the back of the store, we had to pass the work stations and office where the employees were. They didn't seem to care about us. My wife and I just walked out and went down the street to Westfield Lumber/True Value and purchased one after we were welcomed. I don't think we'll be going back nor will we be referring them to anyone. Based upon other reviews, customer service appears to be a big problem. read more

I'm very happy with Top Line Appliance they offered excellent direction on making the right choice and made the purchase and delivery process very easy. I was ready to buy a LG or Samsung but had some reservations and discussed all options with the sales rep and I felt he offered excellent insight to different options. I wound up buying a KitchenAid and am very happy with the purchase. The show room is beautiful, I assure you. They really do know their stuff. Look if you go to HomeDepot or Lowes etc you're getting 0 direction and advice. Granted Top Line is not a bargain big-box option, its more premium but you're clearly getting that back in value. Absolute worst customer service! We bought appliances for our whole house from Topline....part of the sales pitch was "we have our own service department!" Fast forward 2 years our washing machine breaks down. It's still under warranty. It's been 2 weeks to get someone out for repair (yes 2 weeks without being able to wash clothes)....well they didn't show for the appointment which we received 2 emails and one text message confirming the appointment. Had multiple problems with a washing machine. 3 delivery dates, they broke my dryer on visit one and dropped the machine in the driveway before it entered the house. Went over the dimensions of the place of the machine and after the second visit, the machine did not fit. After 2 visits, they would only deliver on tuesday and thursday, both days when I was working. I went in to buy a top-of-the-line refrigerator, and couldn't get the time of day from anyone. After looking at the salesperson enjoying his coffee for ten minutes, he sent over a guy who probably still uses the word "frigidaire." I asked about a model on the floor I was replacing. It had known design issues, and was basically a bomb. Yep...I was told it was a top seller, and great unit. Stay away. I came here after searching google for local appliance stores in the area. I am just moving into my first apartment, so shopping for appliances is new to me and I needed a little help. After chatting with the sales person and looking over their in-store selection, he brought me to the computer to find something in the style I wanted. We found a perfect refrigerator in my price range. Everyone in the store was just very friendly and I felt very at-ease. He set me up for free delivery the very next morning. I was amazed how quickly everything had come together. Delivery guys were prompt and professional. I'm not sure why there are two bad reviews for this place, all I can say is that my experience was exceptional. I would never in a million years recommend this place to anyone. My wife purchased a washer and dryer here, was made to pay cash in order to receive a "discount" that ended up being $250 more than what we eventually paid Home Depot for the same models. After originally ordering from Top Line, both units arrived with multiple dents, and I was offered a mere $50 to accept the damaged appliances. I declined, and scheduled delivery for the following week, which never arrived because Top Line never actually scheduled the second delivery. After complaining about taking an entire day off of work for a truck that never came, I was offered $25 for my trouble! At that point, I cancelled my order, and one week later, I am still fighting to get my money back. In the meantime, I was called several days after cancelling to schedule my next delivery! read more

Very unhappy with what I experienced this weekend at top line in Westfield. I walked in there with my Afro American husband and our two children for about an hour looking around and no one assisted us. We went there in search of new kitchen appliances. We stood there patiently waiting as there were two salesman attending to customers. One salesman acknowledged us and said they would be right with us. As the other salesman finished with his customer, walked right past us who were next in line without acknowledging our presence. Helping another customer who was not standing there in line. My husband and I immediately knew this had to be because of his ethnicity. We were appalled! After waiting there we said we would be better off spending our money elsewhere. We bought our appliances from the owner of Top Line for the last 25 years. So when he opened up in Westfield and were remodeling our kitchen we went and purchased all of our appliances from his staff. It was a joy and the price was right. The delivery was prompt and the entire staff is knowledgable and courteous. Fast forward 5 years and now my Refrigerator is acting up. I reached out to Top Line and they had a service person call me and walk me thru troubleshooting. And it worked. They saved me a repair service call and better yet they are not like other businesses that would tell me I need a new appliance. That is why we are loyal customers and now are kids are buying houses. Not happy at all, please read the details below. We purchased a Thermador wall oven to replace and old non-functioning wall oven. Our cabinets are from 1995 and we were told that there may not be many options available because the exisiting opening is small. As such we decided to leave it in their hands and have Top Line come out and measure on November 12, 2017, and give us our options. After finding out our options we ordered the oven on Nov. 20th. On the day of installation Dec. 6th, the installer told my wife that they would need to cut the cabinets but we would not see the cuts since the oven would cover them. My wife called me concerned but I said as long as we don't see them it's fine and my wife went about her business. When the installation was done my wife went into the kitchen to check it out and there was a huge opening cut on the bottom of the oven, we never had any clue that this was even an option. Perhaps the sales women or the installer could have told us and we may have tried something different. I thought we had someone come out to measure and give us our options so we would not have a huge opening cut for installation. So I feel the outcome was not properly disclosed and we were extremely upset about the new unfinished hole cut into our cabinets. Regardless we decided to give them the chance to fix this and we were told that Rich would be contacting us with options on how to fix it. Long story short, it's now February 15th, 2018, over 2 months from the installation and we still have a huge cut hole in my cabinets. After chasing down Rich we've set-up 3 separate appointments for him to come and fix the hole. We've worked out our schedules and have waited around and he has not shown up or even had the courtesy to call for ALL 3 appointments. I've called him numerous times only to be assured they will definitely be there next time to fix it but they never show up or call. I guess the jokes on me. Needless to say I have zero confidence that this will happen. I've also left voicemails with other sales employees and "managers" in both the Manasquan and Westfield stores and don't even get the courtesy of a call back. So I will now dispute the charge on my credit card and will be contacting the better business bureau. Follow-up - I called back today, Feb. 15th, as a last straw and I have a new person I'm working with who is assuring me that this will be rectified by next week. I'll keep you posted...... read more

I went into Top Line for a combination oven/microwave wall unit. The sales staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The installation was performed by an independent contractor who seemed ok. We just requested service because the oven was not heating properly. This time Rich from Top Line came out to check the problem. He found the unit was not securely fastened to the framing and the electric connection was inadequate/faulty. It cost additional to fix a problem that should not have existed. I would continue to purchase appliances from them, but insist that only Top Line staff perform the actual installation. read more

Not a very helpful business and would warn others to stay away. Owners do not stand behind their business. The owner would not allow the service techs to do the job they were contracted to do. The service techs were so embarrassed that they offered to do the job on the side - but of course I had to pay them again to do it. I honestly don't know what these other reviewers are talking about. Top-Line is retail at its best. The showroom has a great variety of appliances, the salespeople are knowledgeable, and the customer service is fair and professional. My entire family has purchased entire kitchen appliance suites from them, and we always felt the pricing was excellent, and that the customer service was consistent regardless if we were purchasing a microwave, or an entire kitchen full of appliances. When issues arise, they respond quickly and often at no charge....what more could you ask for? read more
