Prior to a Solar Installation, I had a number of roofers come out and give me quotes on repairs. Wayne was able give me two quotes - one for immediate repairs required for the solar installation and another for additional maintenance required on other areas. His workers were very cordial and completed the work in a day and a couple of hours. They advised me of additional work uncovered that was not part of quote and gave me a reasonably priced change order. They work looks great and they did a thorough clean-up. I used Top Line Roofing this week to fix a roof leak in my new home of almost a year. I was referred to them through Old Republic, my home warrantly company. The job was more complicated than they originally estimated. That happens once the tiles are removed and the wood underneath is rotten, I understand. The roofer was there one whole 8 hour day and another 4 hours the next. I was surprised. He was very nice and professional and explained that he wanted to do the job right. (music to my ears!) We were expecting to have the front half of our roof done by the company which did the back half last year. However when we found out the price we checked with a few other roofing companies, our original company was $1000 more than all the others. One of the roofers (Top Line Roofing) suggested that since this part of the roof was in decent shape and only needed a few repairs, they quoted a new roof and just repair the problems. When we were purchasing the house, this company provided an inspection report with an estimate of repair which we used as a reference when purchasing the house. After Escrow closed, we set up an appointment for this company to repair the roof per their contract. After delaying the repair, they sent us a second contract for two and one half times the initial estimate. They also charged us $300 to cover the roof with plastic without giving us advanced notice. This company is dishonest, and we do not recommend their services. read more

I have never felt more comfortable having someone work on my home. I had a small job that took about 5 hours to complete. My skylight flashing had been crushed by the installers so that the roof would look good, but not flow well. That lead to the eventual whole in the paper that lead to a leak causing the starter boards to rot. So this job required a little woodwork and painting as well and it looks awesome. Two pleasant and professional roofers performed the work. Don't look too far beyond right here. I tried. I even had three bids from Angies List. Top Line Roofing bet every one of them. Love these people! I am in charge of organizing all the escrow and inspections for my elderly parents and they are in the process of buying a house that is a little out of their budget. Long story short, the house cannot have any major issues that need repairing as my parents do not have the money for it. The home inspector noticed a couple of areas on the roof that needed to be looked at and I called 3 or 4 roofers and Top Line was able to get me an appointment in a short period of time. The person in the office that took my call was extremely courteous and accommodating. I felt like I had contacted the right company just based on my conversation over the phone. They even gave me a specific time, not a range like 1pm-4pm. The inspector looked at the roof and at some old water stains in the attic, checked the tar paper for moisture and gave the roof his seal of approval. He answered all of my questions and was extremely nice. This was and is a very stressful time period and they gave me some piece of mind which I am truly thankful for. Recent rains exposed a roof leak. We called a few contractors with two giving us estimates. We decided upon Wayne and Top Line Roofing for a couple of reasons. First, he didn't recommend replacing anything more than what was needed to repair the leak and damaged wood. Second, he was able to start within a week and finished in two days. He did find additional damage after starting, and we felt the estimates were reasonable. The crew that came out were professional, friendly, and thorough. Wayne was a great guy to work with. He came a few days after I called the company and gave me an estimate on a day when it was drizzling. He went up the roof to examine the potential sources of the issue. He showed me some pictures he took and gave me a reasonable quote. Because they were so busy, my roof didn't get repaired until another 3 weeks. On the day of the scheduled visit, the office dispatcher failed to call me the day before to postpone and was actually not sending anyone that day. Good thing I called, so I insisted that this needed to be done that day since I took the day off in order to be around for the repair. He finally was able to send a repair person that afternoon. It was a late start around 2:30 pm for the work to begin. Manuel, the roof repair guy, was truly another great person to work with. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and seemed genuinely interested in explaining the repair work he was doing. It took him literally a good 4 hours to finish the job before all daylight was gone. He took pictures and showed me what he repaired. I couldn't check the completed job as I didn't go up the roof. I guess the acid test is when the next big rainstorm comes around. Hopefully the leak has been repaired. I will update this review once I'm sure that the issue is gone. read more
