Great experience from initial contact to providing a quote. I believe it was Jordan who came to check out the leak situation. He did the best hands-on inspection on roof to inform us of the issue with options. Very professional, knowledgeable and explained with pics he took of the areas of concern. Hello Mr. Sorensen, Your company replaced a Velux manual 221/2 x 221/2 curb mounted fresh air skylight at my property on 8/2/24 and I was told the correct extension rod, and the before and after photos would be delivered to me. I took some photos but was told I would be provided with their photos as well that he showed me on his phone. I called your office three times, most recently spoke with I believe Darren on 8/7/24, left voice messages, have sent emails and have not yet received a response from Beto or anyone else from your office in when the above will be delivered to me. According to your roofers that completed the work( Jairo and Alejandro), the photos and extension rod would be delivered last week(they called Beto after they completed the skylight replacement). The first 2 roofing companies I spoke with wanted to completely replace the underlayment based solely on the age of the roof, and they wanted an insane amount of money to do that - something that wasn't in my solar project budget. Things started off really well. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate for a roof repair. The company called two days before and again the day before the estimate to confirm the appointment. Seemed a little excessive but better to be over communicative than under. On the day oft the appointment, the estimator Jeremy called to say he was running a littlelate which I thought was no problem. Stuff happens. He identified the suspected cause of the leak, was professional, provided a verbal estimate, and promised to provide a written estimate with photos. He seemed like someone I would want to work with. So you may be wondering why the 1 star review...well, things went way downhill from there... Red flag #1: After not hearing back from the estimator, I reached out by email and heard no response. I figured maybe Jeremy wasn't an email person although his email address was on the card he provided. Red flag #2: The next day, I called the main office line and the woman who answered the phone was a little cranky but hey, we all have our off days so I asked for the promised written estimate. Red flag #3: I received a proposed contract, not the estimate I requested and without photos. Okay, well, I might as well read the contract. This is where things started going really downhill. Not a lot of detail regarding the proposed work like other estimates I've received. But the main issue was this was the MOST ONE-SIDED CONTRACT I've ever seen (and I've read, written and revised a lot of contracts in my day). At this point, I really should have run in the opposite direction but in an effort to work with them, I went ahead and marked up the proposed contract to be more equitable and reasonable to both parties and offered to discuss with the company owner. (Some of the changes benefitted then as well.) Red flag #4, 5, 6...: A company rep Cori (spelling?) called me and said they will accept no changes, take it or leave it, and the owner is unavailable. She then mentions someone is listening in on our call -- not sure why that's the case and it is quite frankly unprofessional not to announce that at the beginning of a call. Did I also mention that Cori is beyond rude and condescending during this entire call?! But because I am apparently a glutton for punishment, I offered again to speak to the owner directly about the agreement. (I do not expect a call back.) As expected, no call from the owner, and instead I received an email indicating they are not interested in the job. Don't worry, Top Line, the feeling is completely mutual. Totally dodged a major bullet here! I can't imagine how this company would response to any actual issue. (This was in my mind, this was a minor issue unless they had ill intent with respect to the proposed work.) Caveat emptor!! read more

We can't say enough positive things about Wayne and his crew from Top Line Roofing. As part of getting a solar system for our home, we need to replace our 27 year old composite shingle roof. We are so glad that we did not bundle the work with the solar company company but instead get estimates from highly rated roofing contractors independent from the solar company. Thank God for Topline Roofing... I just posted another yelp review for a dishonest roofing company. She used Angie's List and chose DaBella. She had a small leak near a skylight and this dishonest company sold her a brand new $50,000 roof with solar panels. Her house was built in the mid 90s and had a 50 year cement tile roof. Luckily we were able to cancel the contract with one day to spare, I called Topline roofing and they came out today. It is a small flashing issue near the skylight. The total cost is going to be a little over $1000. Beto Montes from topline was very nice to her, showed us exactly what needed to be done, gave us a good price, and was very nice to work with. He shook his head when I told him what had been going on. Topline is a nice company and I highly recommend them. They did my house and it's great. Shame on that other company read more

Called Top Line Roofing for an estimate on repairing a leaky roof. Jeremy came out and was very helpful in explaining the skylight frame was cracked and needed to be replaced as well as fixing a few other areas. An issue arose as we needed to remove four solar panels and our solar company is now out of business. Cory, the office manager, and Jeremy worked with me to help identify a solar provider, Milholland Electric, to remove and then re-rack the four solar panels once the roof repair was completed. Their customer service was great, sales was not pushy and they did everything they said they would and left the job site clean. After my experience, I would say these guys are no different than a dishonest car mechanic, trying to take advantage of you. I recently had a roof leak, and had four different companies come take a look. All four companies had 4.5 to 5 star ratings on yelp. Three of the companies all diagnosed the same exact problem, provided pictures for me to see the problem, and price quotes that were pretty similar. Then there was Top Line Roofing. After sending somebody to look at my roof, I got an email from Wayne with my price quote. His quote was about $2000 higher than the other companies. He also went on to say that my roof had multiple issues causing the leak (which apparently all 3 other companies must have missed). Since I'm no roof expert, I tried to consider what he says to be true. So, I reply to his email by requesting a couple pictures to help me see and better understand some of the problems he says my roof has. It's since been over a week and Wayne has yet to reply to my picture request. I'm sure their must be pictures somewhere, otherwise how could Wayne have quoted me and known I had multiple issues since he wasn't the person who came out to look at my roof? BUYER BEWARE! This company has extremely poor customer service and communication skills. I question their ability to perform major work such as roofing repair. The scheduling has been a nightmare- inability to return multiple calls, inability to follow up on correspondence, inability to honor agreed upon appointments (and turn it around to say that I had the time wrong even though I spoke extensively about taking time from work to ensure I was there at an agreed upon time) - and the rudest and dare I say, unintelligible, "manager" who answers the phone. Why would you hire a company that's clearly inept? Give your roofing business to a company that cares about clients. UPDATE- just found the voice mail where THEIR employee clearly states what time the appointment was and despite their bate and switch attempt to tell me I had the wrong time, I have proof from their own employee that they were clearly incorrect. So not only rude but unable to keep track of appointments and then they try and blame it on customers when it was their error. Bad bad bad. Even more appalling is that the owner is responding to this review in defense of its poor treatment of customers! How dare he slander me by saying his employee was suffering "abuse"- !!! From a phone call? How about affording customers the chance to dialogue regarding what is happening with services?! Integrity he says? I don't think so. A complete lack of. There was ZERO attempt to address the situation nor to listen to anything I had to say, or review the whole scheduling issue which turns out, I have proof of their error which they tried to continually blame on me- instead, Top Line will simply hang up and then slander you when you've called them out on their inability to work with customers! We used Top Line Roofing in 2018 to repair a portion of our roof. They did an excellent job. Recently we had our annual termite inspection. We were advised to have this same portion of the roof rechecked because there was a stain noted by the inspector. We called Top Line for this. Their roofer Armando checked the attic and the roof. We were relieved to hear that the stain was old and the roof was intact. There was no charge for the inspection. Should we need any further roofing repair, we will certainly return to Top Line. This was the second time Ive used Top Line for a new roof. (Two different houses. )The estimate I got was spot on. No surprises when I got the invoice to pay the final amount, They showed up right when they said the would and got right to work. Even though they were working in 100+ temperatures they didn't take a lot of unnecessary breaks, lunch time was at twelve, over at one. Each day before leaving they cleaned everything up so that the only way you knew our roof was being replaced was by the lawn ornament (porta potty) on our front lawn. Top Line Estimator came to our house to bid on re-roof. Our roof was tarped, but effectively water tight through several storms. Despite my stated concerns about him moving the tarp to do an inspection (he assured me he could get it back, water tight again), he moved it. At 25 years, and originally built improperly then (not overlapped correctly, etc.), the roof was decidedly a candidate for a re-roof, not a repair, which should have negated any need to inspect the tarped area in the first place. Sure enough, the next rain storm, the leak was back full force. He did not get the tarp back the way it was before. To their credit, Top Line Office Mgr., Ryan, sent a crew out to re-position the tarp. It held for a few days until the next storm. (Keep in mind, the original tarp had held tight for a month - one with a ton of rain!) They came back again (once more to their credit), but this time it didn't even hold through the night. When I talked to Ryan before the 2nd visit, he implied I would need to pay if they came back. Really?? They never fixed it right in the first place!? My house was absolutely sealed, water tight until their (Top Line) guy came out! There were a few other issues. I was told I would likely get an emailed estimate that evening. 3 days later, it still hadn't arrived and I had to call and request it. The numbers on that estimate were off by $2-3K from the verbal "ballpark" one he gave me at the time. I originally got the referral from a NextDoor (neighborhood networking) referral who had a good experience. However, I later got a message from another consumer that warned me they did not recommend Top Line. Despite all the good reviews on this site, my experience was not a happy one. I had Wayne help me with 3 different houses! We asked him to come to look at house repair he had done 6 years ago and he was very accomodating and assured my client it was in good condition and no work was needed. He was right! No trouble with all the rains we've had! I later called him again for an estimate on a new roof for half of a duplex. His bid was much less than a previous bid I got for comparison and we hired his company to do the job. He was able to isolate the neighbor's shared roof with a curb flashing since the neighbors were not ready to re-roof yet. We didn't want to wait until it leaked and shingles were already breaking and flying off in the wind. It was started on the day he promised and completed on time with excellent results! All permits and inspections were signed off with perfection! 2 months later we hired him again! It was just a patio cover re-roof this time and again with great results. He was concerned that a nearby chimney on the house roof wasn't sealed and might leak onto the new roof area so he completely sealed it at no extra charge. I should have posted a 5 star review for each one but I had to get caught up. I definitely refer him to anyone who asks. You just can't find better service, price, and quality than Top Line Roofing! We called three roofing companies to estimate for a leak repair. The first company, instead of giving me the estimate for the leak repair, they gave me two estimates. One for a half roof replacement, one for the whole roof replacement. The second company never gave me any estimates, even though I called to follow up. Then came Top Line Roofing, recommended by my neighbor, two doors down. Wayne took a look and gave me the estimates I asked for in about 15 minutes, right off his van. The estimates were very fair and honest. A week later, we got all of the necessary tasks done. The crews were very professional and respectful!!! I wanted to get more vents installed on the roof of my house and to also fix some cracked flashings for my water heater and furnace exhaust. Called top line roofing on 8/16 to request a re roofing estimate for a 2300 sq ft single family house. Rayne was nice to take my call and asked me to send an email with job address and the house inspection report for Wayne to schedule a site inspection and estimate. The email and information was send over on 8/16. No returned calls or emails till next day ( 8/17) around 1 pm. I called top line 2 times on 8/17 since my son need to know the schedule. No one in top line answered the call. I left messages. I got a returned call at 4:11 pm 8/17 and I was told that the estimator can't visit the site and provide an estimate till early October. that is about month and half down the I think the management is either does not care about my business or the service is bad. Provide a timely service to a customer also is important. I called A1 All American roofing, and within 15 minutes, the owner spend the time to give me all recommended roofing specs and the rough price information I am looking for.
