My accent nail wasn't even shaped she just slathered the paint on and had me set it. I left picking hang nails. The "manicure" part was barely existent. They had me soak my gels off in a bowl of acetone (in which he cleaned out old soaked off polish out of using his hands and just refilled the bowl) instead of wrapping like ive always had done, and he used the dremmel to get them off rather than the usual metal tool which to me, is more damaging to my nail. He didn't seem to know what he was doing. He told me I couldn't go shorter on my nails because I only wanted the tips colored, even though I've always had them cut all the way back. He barely touched my cuticles. And after the whole thing she didn't wipe my nails after the final setting and there was no lotion applied. For $35 it was definitely NOT worth it. I'll go to the place down the street and pay their $38 for friendly helpful service that actually feels like a manicure and A LOT cleaner facility.

I just texted back and forth with Lihn and he was extremely accommodating. It's quiet, clean, and easy to find inside of sola salon. I loved that my appointment started on time - nothing is more annoying than making an appointment and still having to wait 10-15 mins (which happens frequently at other salons). It's super small, with only two chairs, so you have to make an appointment in advance. Also - make sure you have enough time. My technician was extremely detail oriented, so my gel mani and pedicure took just under two hours. Full disclosure, it's a bit pricier than other places (gel manicure - $40 and regular pedicure - $35) but totally 100% worth it. Easily the best manicure and pedicure I've had in mount pleasant. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

They are small, CLEAN, efficient, HIGHLY TALENTED, and exceptionally kind and accommodating. The venue is small and to some, this may seem uncomfortable; two pedicure stations and a single nail station, but IT WORKS. As a result of it just being to two of them, you receive primo service. Dedicated to YOU and potentially one other client only. I love booking duos with the Nguyen's with my dad or a friend and it's pampered service focused on only us and us alone. I also love that Mr. Nguyen books my appointments via a simple text message; it is that easy!

Can't…read morebelieve I'm the first to review here but here we go: I really want to give this place no stars because if everybody finds out how great it is then I will never get an appointment. The place will be mobbed.  Tiffany Gaston is the owner and CNS (Chief Nail Stylist). Yes. I made that title up. But it is SO appropriate. Because when you leave this place your nails are not just done--they will have been styled. Tiffany is very meticulous and extremely professional.  I love the fact that she only takes appointments, which means no waiting.  I love it when my time is valued and I detest waiting. DE-TEST it. It also gives her time to sanitize and freshen things up between customers. And the appointments can be done on line which is very convenient. I speak full-time for a living. Can I just use my fingers to book an appt without continuing to "work?" Oh and did I say that the place is clean? I couldn't find a speck of dust. (And I looked...) The entire place is tastefully done with soft, relaxing music coming through the recessed speakers in the ceiling. Also some places will take credit cards, but will only accept tips in cash. I'm usually thinking "Now if I'm using my debit/credit card, that must mean cash is not my friend right now. Just because I have two dollars in the bank doesn't mean I have two dollars in my pocket."  With Tips & Toes you can put the cost AND the tip on your card if you desire. . I wouldn't be surprised if she takes Apple Pay. Though I am surprised I didn't ask. My permanent residence is in NYC. When I book online with the technician I specifically choose, I am almost always assigned to someone else without notice. I was advised to call the salon directly to avoid this problem, so I did. Even then, my appointment was changed three times. Each time I was given a different explanation: the technician was on vacation, then called in sick, and then was suddenly unavailable to come to work. After the third rescheduling, I finally canceled my appointment altogether. A salon should respect its clients' time and honor appointments whenever possible. Repeated scheduling changes and poor communication are simply unacceptable. Based on my experience, this has been the most unprofessional nail salon I have dealt with in town.
