Used Yelp's tools to find S&H and sent a text describing our needs about 8:30 PM. Got a preliminary response within minutes and a response from the owner, Dan moments later. He'd already checked with three of his suppliers to no avail, but promised to check an additional source as well as his stock of used tires. Said he'd respond shortly after 7 AM. He did, and we had the used tires installed within an hour before 9AM. Price was fair, service was quick, and we got two name brand tires to tide us over until we can get a full new set (the tires we had we're original equipment run-flats with 44k miles on them. The place doesn't look like much, but they definitely know what they're doing and the responsiveness was stellar.

I called Midwest Tire and the person on the phone was so friendly and immediately told us to come in and that they would help us out. Everyone there was just as nice. Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They knew we were from out of town and trying to get back on the road, and you could tell they really wanted to help make that happen. We didn't have to wait long either. After such a lousy start to the day, it was so nice to end up somewhere with genuinely kind people who knew what they were doing and took care of us. I felt the need to update on the pricing. They used to charge $200 for diagnosing a check engine…read morelight. That is just to figure out what is wrong and not part of what the repair will cost you. Now, I understand that they can't just waste their time chasing codes for free, but yes that was a little steep. I paid it because I needed my car repaired, and I really do like them. That being said, they now charge $253 to diagnose a check engine light. I just cannot afford to pay $250 simply to walk in the door before the repair pricing even begins, so I have had no choice but to take my car repair business elsewhere. They do a fantastic job, the techs are wonderful, the repairs have been good, but they have priced me out of being able to take my car to them. I do recommend them if you can afford them because they do good work. Just be prepared for the price.

I didn't have a lot of options after 5 pm on Friday but Nando's came up and they had good reviews, with comments about prompt, friendly service and they are open 7 days a week. I was able to get in and out in a little more than an hour. I was happy with the service and they were able to repair it. I suggest you consider Nando's if you need tire help after hours or any day of the week.

They also told me that the tire I had brought in to be inspected was fine so I didn't have to spend money that wasn't necessary. There pricing was not bad. I also had them do my alignment and that was affordable for me. Bob is so kind and empathetic. The other gentlemen at the front desk area was also super kind I just didn't remember his name. I will be a long time customer and will continue using there services. Times are tough and having my car back on the road in a timely manner is a priority for me.

I was introduced to him by word of mouth marketing; a co-worker of my wife's mentioned him to my wife when her vehicle wouldn't run after she arrived to work. We called Larry and he came over with a jump pack, got the vehicle going, said it was the alternator and he could have it ready in two hours. Almost to the minute, two hours later I got a call, car was ready and the price was his very reasonable estimate. The dealership was taken over by new management. They wanted to go with more "industry-standard" pricing and upselling. Larry was not a fan and resigned rather than follow the pressure to pad bills with pre-determined hours for a service, or trying to push additional repairs that may not be needed immediately. Within a month, the dealer had to close the service department, and was towing repairs to a second facility. Within a year, the dealership closed down. Larry opened Honest Auto Repair. He is pretty much a "one man" operation, and he keeps his estimates fair for parts and labor (my brakes were squeaking last November when the first snow fell, and I asked him to check them out. He said he brushed the rust off them, so the squeaking stopped, and quoted me a price to repair them, but said I could probably wait until spring for the work. There was no charge for brushing the rust off. I got through the winter just fine, and in May the brake light on the dash board came on. I took the car back to Larry, and he did the work, for his quoted estimate from November.) He handles the maintenance that he is equipped to do, will make recommendations for anything he isn't prepared to do, and his warranty is his personal commitment to "make it right" if your repair doesn't hold up. I had taken the vehicle to the shop that installed the system when it began to make a rattling noise and they were unable to fix it. Nick the service tech looked under the car and discovered a bad mounting bracket and a crack in the exhaust pipe. He called Magnaflow and explained the problem and Magnaflow insisted on replacing the entire system. When I asked the dealer to look at it they refused as they were not the manufacturer. Nick also went through the entire vehicle and pointed out some warranty work to have done before it expired. Looks like Atherton's is my new automotive repair shop!

After emailing me 3000 times after booking the appointment, I never received a receipt explaining the extra charge. When I got home I noticed my center caps were all bent in the same place. I called. The guy was rude and insulting. I brought the truck back, he took pictures, and said someone would be in touch. That never happened. I had to replace not only the center caps, but all my lugs because they used an impact (with no extension hence the dents) and rounded several of them off. A bear to remove. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE.
