We had a great experience with this company when they started out. We had decided to buy another vehicle from them a few years later when it was time for our son to start driving. The truck seemed to be alright the only problem was that the air conditioner and heater only worked on high. Then six months passed and the engine blew! We took the truck to a mechanic and he told us that the engine needed to be replaced. When we contacted the owners of the dealership they wanted us to take the truck back to them to have it fixed by "their mechanic". Who is not ASE Certified and worked out of his backyard. So we ended up having to get the truck fixed, out of pocket, it cost us $6000 and they didn't even want to help with the repair or even take money off what they financed us. We gave them $3500 down and we still have to pay what was financed, over $9000, so if you do the math.....We could have just went to a real dealership and purchased a brand new truck with a warranty. Worst Experience Ever! Top Notch Auto owner Luke Joseph Wodiuk and wife Mikal Ann Medina sold us a vehicle that was to include several ammentities then removed the items before we picked up the vehicle and then neglected to take responsibility for their removal of the items. The vehicle started on fire, the catalytic converter was clogged and the heater core exploded along many other sensors causing the vehicle to spurt and eventually stop running all within 2 miles of driving it off the lot. We attempted numerous times to reach the owners and each time we are told they don't remember the transaction and conversations then call threatening to harm myself and my child because I filed a BBB report. This company is also rated an F on the BBB and if you need further reviews, please just google his name and name of Top Notch. I left a tip while in the process of purchase, bad idea, salesman said all cars are checked by certified mechanic, "brake pads changed..." car we chose and put down payment on, they were to fix radio and left rear window would not work, they could not fix the radio or the window. Brought another car to show us, less than 10 miles and and brake light came on, told a couple of days but, it was fixed, they often did not return phone calls, when car was supposed to be done, had to keep calling. In Less than 200 miles fuel gauge quits, check engine light with 5+ trouble codes,... and wondering if they just reset the check engine light for the sale... seems like it, we were told, pay at them $100 per hr +, less than a week and it fell apart after their certified ASE machenics checked it, they pulled a con job... Beware... ******Update**** run do not walk AWAY from here. Gas lines missing clips to hold together (it was taken apart and put together WRONG, with out all the pics installed), car appears to have been mostly disassembled, and reassembled by a toddler. after paying a down payment of 1100.00 on 2/20/17 i was than told that in order to drive the vehicle off site i needed to have an active insurance policy, i than explained that the down payment was all the money i had until the next pay check, i was told that they could help by covering the initial startup of the policy, and would have to pay at a later time. needing a vehicle due to commuting on a Mtn bike over the winter 22 miles each day, i was indifferent on my upcoming deficiency of funds (over budgeted) this was a mistake on my behalf so visited the office to make another payment of 400 on 2-24-17, and to also explain that my bills where over budgeted and was not going to be able to make the insurance payment due to me saving enough for the first months car payment, i was than told that the sale was final and if i could get someone to lend me the money than the vehicle would not be in danger of being repossessed and storage fees would be assessed. i than asked if it where at all possable to work a deal for a cheaper vehicle that i would be able to afford and was told the same response that all sales where final. after leaving without a resolution i than started to try to gather more funds to make the insurance payment, I than started to have problems starting the vehicle, i than took the vehicle in to a personal friend to see why the van would not start and myself and my mechanic friend discovered a GPS disable device that was incorrectly installed, (after calling the dealership about this device i was told that they do not install these in there vehicles, and would be ok to remove for troubleshooting, upon the removal of the device the vehicle was able to start, after looking up the fcc ID on the device i discovered that this device was a GPS tracking and also had the option to disable the vehicle remotely.on 2/25/17 i was awoken from my sleeping spot where i parked that night by the top notch car recovery team and was told that i was not responding to multiple contact attempts and needed to hand over the vehicle, i that explained that the payment was in route and that i had tried to set up a payment plan prior and was denied, i than proceeded to make a call to my family member to help get my belongings to my aunts house (as i am homeless and had everything i owned in my van) at that point one of the guys from top notch reached in my half rolled up window and grabbed my keys out of the ignition breaking the key into the ignition leaving the vehicle disabled. after the keys where forcibly removed i than exited the van and explained that i was going to return the car and just needed a few min so my aunt could come and get me and my stuff, they than proceeded to block me from getting to the back door to get my belongings they than proceeded to tell me they would wait for her to arrive (all the while i was in my shorts slippers no socks and a light shirt) they than hooked up the van and left me in the middle of the road in longmont colorado at 10:45 pm) giving the short duration of time this happened i believe that i could have been worked with as far as making payments to get caught up, i feel that top notch auto sales just wanted to take the initial down payment, as well as other funds that where payed (400.00) than add on the extra fees (state taxes, insurance, etc..) they set a customer up for failure and will not try to fix the situation, as i am sure this van is now in route to be resold on the same lot for probably the same price. than when came time for me to m Your Desired Resolution: i just want some sort of refund for the money i payed based on the time /usage as well as inconvenience. as well as to bring to light the practices that this business follows. also upon removing my belongings from the van the repo guy called me a "untrusting shit head that could not be trusted" This case will be reviewed by a complaint specialist at the Better Business Bureau, and then forwarded to the business for their response.
