Here is my experience with top rank if you would like to read it all its long this is honestly one of the worst barbers Ive been to in the area i have gotten 0 successful haircuts hair here and i given this place 3 chances 1.first i came in for a lining got done within a reasonable amount of time but completely screwed me over didn't notice until i got home it was one of those things were you notice yourself, but if a person isn't paying close attention to your face they wont notice so i didn't pay it to much attention. 2.apparently they started getting a little more known in the area (mind you i was one of the first people to discover this place when they first opened ) so they told me to start making appointments, its easier on them witch i completely understood. i made it for around 10 am. remind you they open around this time the guy (nick) is no where to be find he told me wait 20 min and i will be their . me being a nice guy i said okay and went home for 20 mins(i live down the block so that's why i keep giving this place a chance ). long story short i ended up waiting 35 mins. got to Top-rank and he was cutting some guys head wtf in my opinion that is really unprofessional so i didn't even get cut and i stopped going to this shop 3.so about a little less then a year later i decided '' hi lets try this place again'' maybe they have gotten a little better. i again called the number the only guy working was (nick). i made the appointment for 11:30 am around 10 am. fastfoward its 11:15am i call to make sure we're still good he says i have someone in the chair done in 15 min Me:okay ill come to the shop and wait Inner me: why the fuck are you doing a 25 min (walk in cut not scheduled he told me ) when you have an appointment i get their at 11:30 sharp sit down . He recognizes me from last time witch reading this he will again ' hii nick ' anyways 30 mins go by its 12:30 wtf you're telling me you have been cutting this guys head for 45 mins you must put a lot of passion into you're cuts man .another guy comes in for an appointment, but hes a regular at the shop him and nick are talking about , love life,the guys going in the back drinking red-bull , and everything in the book . at this point he's super late then he goes to say to regular im going to give you a discount because im so late . im like wtf wheres my discount ?he says '' you dont get one because you stopped coming here the first time i messed up plus he is a regular at the shop'' so in my head im saying so because you fucked up i get punished wow okay great customer services but then again not my shop right ? time goes by again its 1 pm multiple people walk in for a haircut in he is just rescheduling left and right from how late he is. Here was nicks excuse ' im trying to get a cow lick out of his head' but in the end couldn't get it out and told the kid to come back tomorrow and you don't have to pay witch mad me a little more mad. also i know what you're thinking why are you still here ? why did you stay my usual barber was closed and i needed a cut plus i had things to do that morning . after a little over an hour i get in the chair this man is sweaty as fuck from cutting the last customers head. anyways i ask for a taper fade all around my head and again he fucks up my lining the fact that i gave him 20$ for him to fuck me up for about 7 mins makes me wish i can go back in time and not pay him he showed no passion or care for my head . i don't know this guys problem do you not think people have a life to live and things to do ?why do you think i made the appointment for 11:30 am and not 1 pm moral of the story is i will never recommend this place though im sure you guys don't give 2 fucks but i don't care hopefully you treat your next customers with more care and concern for their time i have never in my life wrote a review online especially for a barber shop so that should say alot. read more

Horrible barber, dull haircut blades, deceiving, liar. Was excited to get a haircut for the New Year's eve 2023 so I checked out this guy. Did not receive a good haircut at all... I showed him a picture of what I wanted and for him to leave my top alone since it was at a good length for styling and just needed to buzz my sides and clean it up. He talked like he knew what he was doing. In the end, he cut my hair into a egg shape cone head. His buzzers and tools were not even sharp or oiled and they kept getting hair stuck in them so easily. The left side of my head had no hair and the right side of my head had more hair. His consistency was not accurate at all and I don't even think he's a legit barber. I could've cut my own hair better by myself at home. Regrets. I'm an honest customer so I even paid him, tipped him for his time... I just wanted to get the heck out of there. I'll never go there again or recommend this barber to anyone. I have photo examples of his cut and cuts I've gotten before from REAL barbers. The left photo below is what i normally look like with a nice cut from other barbers. The middle photo is how my hair came out to be after Nick ruined it. The far right photo below is what i showed Nick as reference to how I wanted my cut to look similar to. Don't waste your money and time. Be warned. Shop should actually be called low rank barbers. He may have said come back and I can fix it but you honestly can't fix hair that's already been cut and to the brim of an egg shape head. Dude is straight garbage now trying to lie and now claim that the left photo is his cut though it not, that cut came from Lah Barber in St. Paul, mn. Later on, making more fake remarks and then following to delete his booksys account so my review would disappear. good thing I took screen shots. read more

While I'm always happy to support local businesses, my recent haircut at TOP Barber (Nick) didn't quite live up to expectations. While the price point of $45 is on the higher end for the area, the overall experience wasn't quite in line with the cost. The haircut itself was passable, but definitely not exceptional. Unfortunately, the post-cut cleanup was lacking. Hair was left on my face and neck, and I felt like the overall tidying up could have been more thorough. Beyond the technical aspects, the interaction with Nick fell short in the customer service department. Communication felt one-sided and dismissive, which really detracted from the experience. As a female, I've always had my hair cut by a female stylist. It wasn't until I experienced yet another fade gone hideously wrong, that I decided to seek out a local barber. I was a little apprehensive walking in, because barber shops are catered to men, but Nick made me feel right at home. He was able to take my disaster haircut and provide the look I was always going for! I've been going to chain barbers/hair stylists for as long as I can remember, and finally decided I'd like to try going to a local barbershop. I can say with confidence that I wish I had made this decision long ago. The quality of work and overall experience is worlds above anything you'll receive at a chain, and I can't recommend them enough. read more
