I also really enjoy the team being local (I have had experiences with sac area contractors not passing inspection and then coming infrequently to fix things) and his team is early and promptual. The contract was clear, detailed, but also itemized and customizable so I appreciate that. It wasn't overwhelming but gave me more control over details and pricing. Their work is fast and good quality, I was able to get the roof done in 3 days, with an extra day of detailed work such as patching some holes the old gutter screws left, replacing damaged drainage covers, etc. they also cleaned up completely after the 3 days which is better than some other contract work I have had done. The crew members are friendly and respectful. I also love Tal paying attention to details such as cleaning my solar panels before reinstallation and rerouting the wires so things look more appealing. Tal is a very knowledgeable roofer and was extremely kind to me. He is both a roofer and a general contractor which made my life easier in this stressful process of getting a new roof. He explained the work thoroughly before it was done and even used a drone to record footage of my new roof after he finished to show me everything he did. Tal was extremely patient with me and was great at explaining away all my concerns. Tal was available throughout the entire process and gave extreme care to my safety since I stayed home during the roof work. After the work was done, he used a magnetic roller to go all throughout my yard to collect all the nails and other metallic objects that fell during the work to ensure that nobody gets hurt as a result of the roof work. I have a concrete tile roof. I also get on my roof frequently to manage an antenna setup and clean solar panels. This type of roof gets rats entering the attic via the ridge line. Rats will eat the thick metal foil under the ridge tiles and enter. It's a constant effort to find these and seal them up. I also found a corner of my roof paper underneath the tiles had been damaged by squirrels. I have used a regular roofer on my house, but they have become too busy, too automated (need to use an online calendar to make appointments), and too expensive. So I was looking for a new company to work with. I did speak to a couple good outfits, but settled with Top Roofing. I just have to rave the praises of Gil at Top Roofing. We were having trouble with our Vulex skylight and got Gil's number to come check out our problem. The skylight's motor was running fine but the skylight was not opening. With my husband being 79 and me right behind him, neither of us were going up on the roof. I called Tal Monday (Feb 3) around 4:30-5 pm thanks to a referral from a Roofing/Skylight repair company offering names in my area. It was raining hard that day and for the first time in the 15 years we've been here we saw a leak from the ceiling!! It was good that Tal himself answered my call and agreed to come and take a look. He arrived by 6:00 pm or so and went into the attic to examine the source of the leak. With videos he described the problem and offered to send me a quote that night itself. He did - shortly thereafter. His quote was not inexpensive. But he offered to get the job done the next morning (fortunately was not supposed to rain on Tuesday morning). We decided to get the work done by Tal since the others Quotes would have taken another couple of days and we did not want to risk more leaks or destruction.
