I cannot begin to describe how happy I am with the service and quality of work performed by Lifetime Roofing and Renovation. We received the dreaded "Your homeowners insurance is not going to be renewed" letter and the letter stated there was 1 reason this decision was made. It simply said "ROOF". I ended up choosing Lifetime because A) Project Manager Yonas is a dang superstar B) they quoted the best price for the job C) they had the best warranty BY FAR and D) they handled the permitting process entirely. Their crews always showed up when they were supposed to and were so friendly and pleasant. Not to mention amazingly efficient. They pulled off our old roof in a matter of a few hours and put plywood over the entire roof on just the first day. When they left, they cleaned up the yard including using a blower on the driveway, front path, and lawns. Each day of work was the same. The crew arrived early, did a fantastic job, and left the site as clean as when they arrived. In total, the job took a week. What was even more impressive is I knew there was some wood rot that needed repair so had budgeted more than quoted just in case the price went over. Nope. The final price was the exact price quoted. Even though there were 3 areas that needed repair. One of the other companies I talked to charged $150/hr + materials for wood repair. Another company flat out refused to take the job unless I found a separate contractor to repair those areas in advance. Lifetime adds some repair costs into their quote and they honor it. They very easily could have said the repair went over the allocated amount and we would have never known the difference. Called lifetime for a quote on a cracked skylight. They came by immediately, evaluated and told me a single layer had cracked, but there are 2 layers so I should be ok. I had no clue there were 2 layers, but with this information I decided to not replace yet. These guys came out and told me I didn't need to have work done. Recently, our HOA, after an extension search, selected Lifetime Roofing to replace the twenty-nine-year-old flat roof on our two-unit condo. From the very outset, when we were soliciting bids, Lifetime Roofing impressed us above their competitors. Their price, while not cheap, was in line with the seven other companies we interviewed. Their skilled use of a drone to provide footage of our old roof enabled us to get a detailed impression of its condition without anyone climbing a ladder. Their explanation of exactly how their crew would execute the job was detailed and understandable. Their description of the materials and warranty was clear and checked out when researched. Their ability to coordinate and have a crew ready for the date we needed was great. Our situation was complicated by the fact that both units have solar panels installed by a different company, Grid Alternatives. Lifetime Roofing provided excellent project management, including coordinating with Grid Alternatives to schedule removal and reinstallation of the panels. Their work was done on time and within budget. The materials they used were of very high quality. They affixed our new roofing material to the substructure without using an open flame. It's only been a year but the leak has reappeared, see images below: There are new stains, possibly water accumulation that's at the same locations (balcony and ceiling) your team repaired last year. Your team supplied all the labor and materials for the job, which included the torch down for the entire balcony and all the repairs for Unit 2's ceiling. Given how good a job they did on our guest house, we asked for a bid to replace the roof on our home. Again, Sam was immediately on it, and came with a very reasonable bid. It took a bit longer than the first job, but the house is exactly twice as big! They completed every part of it, including the gutters and screens, and left our property without a scrap of shingle or loose nail. The Presidential shingles look terrific, with a very rich texture and color. Lifetime's level of service is not common these days. We highly recommend them. The amount of communication and transparency on a job really depends heavily on which project manager is assigned, which I imagine is true most places. I appreciate that Greg was willing to work with me on the price/scope and took the time to make sure I was happy with everything once the repair was completed. We worked with project manager Matt on our roof replacement and installation of a new skylight at the living room. We inquired many places and very few can do both roof and skylight together. Lifetime roofing not only can do both, but also offered a competitive quote. Matt was very responsive and patient. It took several weeks for the preparation, including permit, the design of the skylight, selection of tile color etc. Matt did a great job. The roof replacement team are professional and efficient, finished work within about 3-4 days. They also did a good job on cleaning afterwards. The installation of skylight though took a little longer. At the beginning, the interior framing team and the skylight team seemed having miscommunication. The opening was a little bigger than the size of the skylight window. It took extra days to fix that. Although some mistakes were made by the team, Matt was able to patiently communicate to both me and his team and fixed the problem quickly. After Lifetime's Free Site Survey - to look at the roof for Re-tiling AND to get their quote to fix a small leaking in flashing on the stucco wall. Vito and Nick, experienced roofers did a drone flight done to see exactly what was so with our roof and leaking wall flashing. Vito saw how to simply repair the leak, Danny K. insisted that they had re-inspect and to repair the leaking flashing would cost a minimum of $2,500. After a slow exchange of messages - the price is $2,500 - no matter how simple the repair = applying chalk to the leaking flashing. I received very slow responses from their "In House Sales" representative, Danny K. - who had to consult the owner for each of his very slow "responses". Danny K stood in the way of Vito returning with a ladder and repairing the wall flashing he had carefully photographed. $2,500 minimum! I hired another firm that is repairing the leak for a fraction of Lifetime's $2,500 minimum. Based on this experience I suggest you look elsewhere for roof related repairs. read more

This is a follow-up posting to a (very positive) review I provided several weeks ago about the quality of goods and services provided to our HOA by Lifetime Roofing during the replacement of our 29-year-old roof. I live on the upper of our building's two condos, so the roof is directly over our unit. For several days during a particularly windy period, I heard noticeable and persistent noises on one area of the roof, as though a heavy tarp had become unsecured and was flapping around. When I notified the project manager who oversaw the replacement, Tony Arakelyan, he responded promptly and returned to investigate the source of the noise, which turned out to be a good-sized fragment of loose PVC material. I had a skylight roof leak situation yesterday from a 15 year old skylight in my bathroom. This was leaking into the bathroom walls and needed emergency repair (sealing the cracks, securing the flashing, etc.) I contacted Lifetime Roofing in the evening and Nick S came out the next day (today). He thoroughly inspected the cracks around the skylight and explained to me the whole procedure including both repair and replacement options. Since I was going to replace the roof in 1 year, he guided me down the right path of repair vs. replace to reduce my cost as I had to do that anyways in 1 year. I really appreciated his honesty as he could have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge but he didn't. With the rain forecasted to come anytime risking dwelling structure, Nick gave a very reasonable quote and offered to do the job on the spot if I wished. He moved around his other appointments to make sure he takes care of sealing the skylight cracks before the rain hits. Our 1040 square foot house needed a new roof to get solar. I really recommend that you get at least three estimates. Lifetime Roofing & Renovation were great but we had one huge snag, otherwise they were awesome! Lifetime was our first estimate and they discounted us a huge amount if they could start the next day. They were going to have our roof project piggyback off another project that they had with a crew already setup. Marcos and George were personable and professional. They used their own ladder to look at the roof and a drone. They did the measurements, went over their insurance, contractor license, certificate for being a preferred Owens Corning contractor, bond, everybody who worked for them was an employee, etc... The actual tile guys had a logo of a different roofing company on their truck. I'm fine if they subcontracted. Those guys knew what they were doing. They needed the work and I hope they were paid well. We told Marco and George that our house was from 1950. The day after the demo, Marcos and his boss came to look at our existing roof because one of their workers said we didn't have plywood. Houses built in the last 20 years most likely have plywood but not houses built in 1950. If they said something the first day, I would be fine. A new contract for the plywood, install, gutter demo, gutter install with leaf guard was an additional $32,980 on top of the original contract. I strongly recommend three estimates in case you have the same problem so you will feel you paid a reasonable price. They said we didn't need to do anything for the demo but if we knew, we would have covered everything with drop cloths. We were able to see the sky from our garage attic and a ton of debris from the roof fell thru those cracks. The floors in the garage, walkways, and yard was spotless after the guys finished the demo but the top of the shelves of everything in the garage were covered with tar, nails, & debris. They did not come back to clean, so we took everything out, brushed it off and blew out the garage, a huge one day project. Get 12 x 15 drop cloths or old sheets to cover the tops of everything. There's a huge payment due for deliveries, but that doesn't do any good if it's sitting in your driveway or on top of your roof when they come by to collect. Half my roof was completed and the rest was going to be done in two days, so I asked if I could pay the full amount in two days if they were going to be done in two days. Started 5/26 and completely finished on 6/10,16 days. Demo one day, delivery a few days, plywood/underlayment one day, rain coating and half a roof another afternoon, covered due to rain another day, finished the roof another day, gutter demo & install one morning, leaf covers another day, and two inspections in between and after. It was stressful for my dogs, the noise and strangers on the roof. I was in contact with Marcos every step of the way, he called, I called, the workers were professional. It was a lot of money but I'm so happy the roof is done and it looks good. read more

I worked with Sam Danielyan as my project manager and found him to be continually available to coordinate what turned out to be a complex job. He started the job on the chosen day, which was determined by a short break in the rainy weather. Their electrical crew arrived to remove my solar panels, and the next day five men arrived in a massive truck and demolished my old 1500 square foot roof that first day. They then discovered an unusually large amount of plywood sheathing that had significant water damage, and when they removed that, found structural damage to some of the rafters beneath. We quickly negotiated an extension contract at a fair price to repair all that damage. A somewhat different crew arrived the next day and finished the structural repairs in a day. The next day after that, the first crew was back and left the roof completely renewed. Then their electrical crew arrived the next day and reinstalled the solar panels successfully. They all cleaned up thoroughly after themselves each day and were as respectful of my property as one could expect, especially considering the large amount of work that was done. They worked fast on a complex job to complete it in a narrow window between rainy days. I would always suggest that you educate yourself by getting several bids, but my experience leads me to trust that you can expect a professional and speedy job with them.
