Staff is very friendly and are pretty knowledgeable about the menu choices. Chef's are pretty inventive with the rolls and it's always worth it to try something new. Fish is fresh! One of our favorite places to go. Matt provides great customer service. He remembers what my little man loves to eat. If that ain't great customer service, than I don't know what is. Besides that he's always so happy and he knows exactly what he's talking about when it comes to the menu. We've tried many other rolls because of his help in explaining the flavors and wants in it. I guess we came on an off night. Our waitress although very friendly seemed new and confused. You could see her reaching out for guidance, but the manager was preoccupied chatting with her friend at the bar and giving free samples of sushi to care about her questions. The restaurant did not seem short staffed, however service was extremely slow. We decided to take advantage of happy hour and ordered some cocktails. I was concerned when I seen our waitress was also the bartender because she seemed like she was still in training. She didn't look like she knew how to make the cocktails (strawberry basil lemonade) and repeatedly kept raising the mixer glass to her face and sniffing it. This was pretty cringy given the times that we live in. Long story short, there was two loud obnoxious guys being over served at the bar, two feet away from the manager and her friend. My order came out wrong, I ordered chicken stir fried udon noodles and received a soup. The Mexico City roll barely had rice around the roll and had already became unrolled on the plate before it reached our table. We ended up sending the food back and just asked the manager to remove two rolls and bring us the check. 15 mins later the waitress brought us the check and said the amount didn't look right to her. At this point I was ready to leave and just paid the bill. The manager acted poorly, did not apologize and just over all made the experience unbearable. read more

My daughter and I came here for a daddy daughter date night. We both love sushi but dont know a lot about it. We were seated immediately and were overwhelmed by the choices. Atmosphere was very cool and perfect for what we were looking for. The waiter came by immediately and was happy to explain as much as possible and give us options. He took the order and disappeared. We got our appetizer pretty quick but then something happened and our main course took a VERY long time to come out. During that time where we were waiting, we were visited multiple times by management and staff and they even gave us a menu and told us dessert was on them and to pick whatever we wanted. They really made it a fun night and made it special for my daughter and me. We are already planning our next daddy daughter date night back there again with different things in mind to try. By the way, everything was amazing. We spent the rest of the night talking about which was our favorite thing and what we will get next time. What a fabulous restaurant!! The food was excellent; we had the shrimp dumplings with ponzu sauce and it was honestly some of the best dumplings I've ever had. We also ordered the "Monkey Brains" for fun and it was insanely good, an awesome mix of avocado and fresh seafood! Our server was over the top sweetheart and very helpful with menu suggestions for sushi rolls. My husband and I ventured here for our first date night in a while; Top Sushi clearly takes the necessary safety precautions in lieu of COVID, all staff were wearing masks and the restaurant was super clean. What a treat! The key element of sushi is super fresh, good quality fish. When the fish is good, you can enjoy it with cream cheese, avocado, sriracha mayo, etc. . . and they are just fine. But when the fish is exceptional, like it was at Top Sushi, you can explore and enjoy variety and subtleties of appearance, textures and flavors. The chef steered us through the diverse fish choices exquisitely! My son and I sat at the sushi bar and ordered two nigiri pieces at a time - one for each of us, so we could focus on and discuss each one. We started with Uni - fresh sea urchin row which was creamy, exotic and wonderful. We gradually worked our way through pacific flounder, Scottish salmon, yellowtail (hamachi) belly, saltwater eel (unagi) and on and on. Recognizing our interest - the chef prepared us a hamachi belly carpaccio, delicately flavored with ponzu, truffle oil, topped with a paper thin slice of jalapeño and micro greens. Not only did it look fabulous but the magnificent, slightly, sweet flavor of the fish was not lost, but rather enhanced by the garnishes. I suppose the place is hot, new, trendy and cool but we did not have time to notice any of that. We were too busy eating! The happy hour (and reverse happy hour from 9PM - close) are a nice incentives to come early, stay late, and eat more! We will be going back! read more
