They are building a huge spec house on our street, and they have done nothing to earn trust in the neighborhood. They have blocked the road without warning the neighbors or the school district, so parents have had to scramble to get kids to school when the bus couldn't get through on multiple occasions. They are building the house on an extremely steep hill with very little space to store building materials or park cars, and yet there is zero signage or anything warning drivers as they turn the corner. This company could have started out by attending a neighborhood meeting, introducing themselves, communicating their plan and schedule, acknowledging that they would be cutting down a bunch of very large Douglas Firs along a watershed, acknowledging that they would be changing the view for people whose homes used to look out at the forest. They didn't. They could have put fliers on the doors or in mail boxes letting us know that there will be some inconveniences in the coming weeks, but they didn't. When people complained about safety concerns, the owner was rude and dismissive. I have dealt with other developers who have tried to create good will among neighbors, and those small efforts made a difference. Eric Rystadt did not and ended up making a lot of neighbors extremely angry. I hope potential home buyers will be aware of this company's business practices.
