Just a note, the poor reviews on this page are for the former establishment at this location called Bloop. Top This is a completely new place with new owners. I have been to Top This twice now to buy their versions of this year's sweetest trend - the cocoa bomb! They are handmade at the shop and they are so much fun. I was a bit skeptical at first, but after trying one, I totally get it. I felt like a little kid again as I poured the steaming hot milk over the baseball sized chocolate bomb. It may not seem like anything will happen and then all of a sudden, it collapses in on itself like an imploding Death Star and mini marshmallows pop out! Then you just stir until the chocolate melts completely and you'll have the most decadent cup of hot chocolate you've ever experienced. They have all sorts of fun flavors like Andes Mint, my favorite! I keep saying this cup of hot chocolate is like the one they describe in the Polar Express: "thick and rich as melted chocolate bars." This is how I want every cup of hot chocolate to taste like from now on! They also serve frozen yogurt, pup cups, and acai bowls! I originally became aware of this business through a Yelp Elite event and was so impressed with the hot cocoa bombs and acai bowls, I was thrilled to come back. They have various options including the acai bowls and soft serve, but if you ask me, the true star are the hot cocoa bombs! These are hand made (seriously) and come in many amazingly decadent flavors. The owner explained to me that they far exceeded their goal last year and are prepared this year with the production of the hot cocoa bombs, ready for you with all the flavors in stock! They are picture perfect and make a great gift. I see these bombs in stores sometimes but I cannot imagine that a mass produced bomb would even come close to this! If you have a chocolate lover in your life, you can't go wrong here. Really cute business off Kalamazoo that offers açaí bowls, soft serve yogurt & hot chocolate bombs. Staff was friendly & helpful. We also enjoyed the decor, including a selfie wall! My kids were geeked to pick out a hot chocolate bomb each (peanut butter chocolate for one & the kiddo for the other, because who can pass up rainbow sprinkles?), which went over pretty well at home. They're VERY rich though & would've likely been better with water instead of milk. The shells are also thicker, so we unfortunately didn't have them burst open the way we hoped. I bought some cocoa bombs for my stepsister and they are HUGE! To give you some perspective, they come in cupcake wrappers! Although I didn't get anything for myself, the place was super clean (and empty) when we went. I will for sure be back to try an açaí bowl or some frozen yogurt that I spotted on the menu boards! This place, originally known as, "Bloop" has had a renovation for the better! We were greeted by a nice gentleman that understood all of our questions and was very accommodating. We were able to try some of these cocoa bombs tonight at home, and they are insanely rich! The perfect way to end the day. Once you pour the hot milk over the cocoa bombs, they flip and break open to reveal goodies such as marshmallows! The recipe calls for 8oz of milk per cocoa bomb, but it was so rich you could even get away with 10-11oz. The açaí bowl had some very fresh fruit and great ingredients, like the cocoa nibs and coconut shaving. The only thing I would say is that the açaí was still a bit too frozen, but 90% of it was perfectly cold. I believe they have new management, different workers, and an emphasis on providing a family environment. The workers seemed happy to be there, and we could even hear the workers in the back enjoying their work. Would highly recommend giving this place a chance, especially if you haven't been since the renovation. read more

I also enjoyed the low carb açaí bowl, it had some strong pb&j vibes and tons of fruit, YUM. Top This also has fresh pressed juices pre-bottled for $7.99. I got both the sunrise and celery juice and immediately regretted spending $16 on juice, but they are very refreshing. The space was very large and clean and the service was super helpful and friendly. There's plenty of parking out front and it's conveniently located off M-6. Once again you have failed me!!!! A couple of your yogurts were on the last few drops in the machine. You are again, yet and still out of marshmallow topping. The gal at the counter stated that you are out of things because the crew last night didn't fill the toppings and the manager knew he was out of marshmallow topping and decided not to order any more. Not my problem your staff can't do their job. I have been let down by your place enough times. You have lost me as a customer now. Why don't you order more toppings? Is it because you are going out of business???? Makes me wonder why I would spend money here to have you out of yogurt and toppings. The concept is one that I really dig. These places are never inexpensive, but they are always fun. I LOVE THE RED VELVET CUPCAKE YOGURT Plenty of parking and conveniently located next to the movie theater The only reason they don't get a 5 is because there is just something about the lay out I don't really like. It used to be good. When they first opened everything tasted good, was well frozen, and the customer service was wonderful. This is why I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1. Things aren't the same anymore. I have been to this establishment maybe 10 times throughout the year since it opened. They don't freeze the yogurt like they used to. It is not the summer heat. It literately comes out of the machine melting. This started happening early this year when it was cold out. The happy smiling faces that greeted you when you walk through the door are now non existent. Maybe management is lacking? The flavors aren't as tasty as they used to be, and they are sometimes sour (and I am not talking about the bloop tart). Pretty big disappointment. So very sad that a yogurt shop a hop skip and a jump from my house is this horrible. When Bloop first opened it was amazing! The machines all had delicious flavors with great consistency. Tonight I walked in and only 2 of the machines work and it's a joke. It's been this way every time we go there in the past year. I don't understand how this business is able to stay afloat. I decided to take myself and my girlfriend out the other day and one of the stops we made was here. What a mistake that was, let me tell you. First impression walking in the door: atmosphere is non-existent. Not even music? Okay, whatever. Employee(s?) Looks like they don't give a shit about their job and don't greet us in any way. 3 machines are "out of order" and on top of that another 3 flavors were out, so that left us with almost no choice in what flavors to get. We both finally pick flavors we can deal with and go to get our toppings and check out. But guess what? The POS system is also out of order. And by out of order I mean their iPad was asking for an apple ID to be signed into it but I don't think the employee fully understood that or just nobody in the company knew what an apple ID even is so nobody they called helped at all. Tech issues happen, I get it. But what I didn't get was a single "it'll be just a moment" or "I'm sorry for the delay, we're trying to figure this out" we still got ignored like we didn't even exist as we stood there, right in front of the employee with our food in our hands for about 20 minutes. Finally we said screw it, set our food down and left, again, with no acknowledgement whatsoever from the staff. Terrible service. Terrible atmosphere. Terrible management. Just drive the extra couple miles to any other frozen yogurt shop like we did and don't waste your time here. read more

As far as fro-yo goes, they've got it down. Lots of flavors, lots of toppings. The only thing that prevents me from giving them the 5th star is the fact that they don't have whip cream. I get it, the topping itself doesn't weigh a whole lot, so they aren't going to get much $$ from it since you pay by the ounce, but come on!! Other fro-yo places offer dairy and non-dairy whip, so they really need to get with it. Some of us love our whip cream on our special treats! read more
