Had to give an update because Mike has helped me out with two more projects since the original back door install I wrote a review for, and I've just gotta emphasize his thoroughness, quality, and care. When I had Mike back to replace my front door, he noticed a small issue with the back door latching from his prior install and fixed it right then and there, no charge or questions asked. I then had Mike back for a much larger project (cutting a hole in my bedroom wall, framing, and installing french doors). He did it all - framing, drywall, wiring, finishing details, all to a super high standard of quality (and to code). Best of all he and his partner worked so efficiently that he started in the morning and by the afternoon I had my bedroom back in working order with brand new doors. And then again, he went back and added trim to his other installs to match the work he did in my bedroom, all for free. Mike is magician. I bought custom doors from Wayfair only to find that my Condo had a steel frame around the opening that couldn't be altered and was an inch too small for the doors. I thought all was lost and that I'd have to buy brand-new doors that were smaller, but Mike came to the rescue. His tenacity and problem-solving skills is unparalleled. Any contractor would've given up and told me to buy new doors, but he was relentless. Not only did he assemble the door that came in pieces without the hinges pre-installed or measured out, but he ended up buying supplies, measured and built out a custom wood frame and door stop. He had to do this so that it was thinner and would fit the doors (he literally used every 1/16" inch he had) and also created a wider custom trim to hide the gaps and not leave an unsightedly big gap beneath the doors. The result is perfection! I still need to buy paint to get the trim painted, but as you can see it looks like these doors were made for this apartment. On top of all this, his prices are very reasonable and he somehow managed to get it all done in a day. Would 100% recommend and would use again. Very nice guy, hardworking, and honest! read more
