Wave the club over the ball sensor and a new ball automatically rolls out. Use the touch screen to switch players and the computer chip in the ball automatically tracks on the screen if the ball goes into the bullseye sensor around the hole and records the points. Up to 6 players per bay, taking turns on the green. I did not realize this was a full restaurant menu for food and drinks, we came at a between meals time, but would reserve a time around a meal next visit. I've been to a few Topgolf locations so I'm familiar with the concept. I was invited to my friends holiday party that was held here and I was impressed. We had a bunch of lanes so everyone had plenty of opportunity to play. We could also check the leaderboard to see the scores of others in our group which was fun for competition. There were a handful of servers making sure the drinks were flowing and we definitely felt like we were getting the special treatment. I was most surprised by the food. It was served buffet style and it was so good. If you ever get invited to a corporate gig here, definitely check it out because they pulled out all the stops. read more

Came through on a Sunday morning and had the best time! I reserved a bay online around 2 weeks in advance because I knew I wanted to take my Dad out for his birthday here. You pay half the cost at the time of scheduling and the remainder the day of your event. I had a corporate coupon for $15 off and let the attendant know so that way they could apply it at the time of payment. Shortly after we arrived to our bay, our attendant Marcus went over all the details, safety measures, protocol, and was just overall a great crew member with addressing any questions to placing orders for drinks and whatnot. I didn't try any of the food but they have a great menu!! Their drinks sounded amazing too including seasonal ones like piña colada! You can choose from an assortment of games and challenges plus have the option to switch out if it's not your cup of tea. They have different length clubs of the usual iron numbers and drivers so no need to supply your own but I do recommend bringing your own glove for a better grip on the club. I haven't golfed in years so it felt liberating and amazing to swing it out and see the ball soar. The stats is incredible too - the mph, yardage, etc. Love the protected awning so this could even be a rainy day activity. We had a great experience. Started with cheese sticks and drinks. Drinks were delicious and prepared perfectly. Cheese sticks appeared to be made in-house and tasted great. My wife had grouper tacos and I had peel and eat shrimp. Most restaurants over cook shrimp, but these were just right. Great service as well. We'll be back. read more

There is ample parking, parking garage and a fun time with friends and family. There is a shuffleboard and mini golf to play while you are waiting. Made a tee time for Sunday morning at 10am with a party of six, knowing that a later time would be busy and insane. Using the app to book the time was super easy, and all I had to do when I got there was walk in and go to the assigned bay to check in. Getting the game setup was easy. The facility was clean as they had just opened an hour earlier. Our waiter arrived quickly and covertly. Didn't even see him walk over. He was just there. We ordered drinks and food. Buffalo chicken dip, inject your own donuts, two burgers, chicken tenders, and assorted beverages. Excellent food. Not something you'd expect from a game facility. As for the game, it was so much fun. We are all at various levels of golf skill, but really, depending on the game you pick, you just need to know how to hold the club and swing it. Hope for the best and you score some points. The most skilled golf players did not win either game we played. Our ages ranged from 12 to 70 and everyone had a blast. I will only comment on my experience. Saturdays are a mad house. Went in at 1pm was told 5-6 hour wait time. Got a bay at 6:20pm. The place is new and nice but lacks organization. When you walk in there are no signs to tell you where to go. Once you put yourself on a waitlist it is all text messages from there. I received a text message telling me what bay to go to. Once at the bay I ordered drinks and food. After 90 mins and golfing our food NEVER came out. The manger was respectful and comp the meal. They understood the issue and took care of it. Top golf is a great time for friends and family. I would suggest anyone to try it out but know with out a reservation it will be near impossible on the weekends. Reservations open on Mondays for 2 weeks in advance. Best advice reserve the bay in advance and expect to pay $100-$300 for 1-2 hours for golf and food. I plan to return and hope the experience improves. This is a great addition to the Charleston area. read more

It was our first time here and we enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant /bar was a bit loud but we were going outside anyway so no big deal. We chose the hour play and really had fun. Our server was great; she was knowledgeable and friendly while even showing us how to play (it was the first for both of us). I really like Topgolf! This is the second location I have been to and I can say the Charleston location follows many of the same as the Renton one does. The location was great with bright ambiance. The service is delightful. We were greeted upon entering and throughout our time our server was by ensuring we had what we needed. One time the drinks came out slowly due to one server leaving and another coming on, but that was a minor issue that was quickly resolved. This is the first time I rented two bays and I was pleased that they were right next to each other. I had booked it a week in advance, the earliest I could, and found that process easy. 1st time at Top Golf we had so much fun. We went on a Tuesday which worked out great because on Tuesdays they have half price on games. So we played several games. We ordered Buffalo wings and Fries. They're also amazing. My daughter who doesn't really eat meat order the grilled cheese and she also said she love that. They also have these injectable donut holes and they were an absolute fave everybody loved them they were so yummy. It was my old daughter's birthday, so this was a great and fun family outing to celebrate. We had a really good time. Can't wait to go back. The company was great but the service, not so much. Confusing but fun playing the golf things. We went to the bar and the wait was too long. After golf went to close out our tab at the bar and it was absolutely frustrating how long it took. The bartender would not even look up and there were only about 3 customers at the bar. Just a nod saying busy and will be with us soon would have been fine but come on! As far as service at our golf area it was pretty good actually but everyone's bill was wrong and the costs on the bills were wrong. My bill was small so I just overlooked it but several of our group noticed the wrong prices on the menu vs the actual check. This place is awesome and I hope to come back and re-review it but as it is there needs to be some consistency. Look forward to another try at this. read more

I came here with some coworkers for a happy hour(s) on their half price Tuesday. You get 2 hours which was nice and we were able to reserve it in advance. I received a text on which bay we were at so I didn't even have to go up to the counter. I'm not a golfer, but I had a great time. The area was a little cramped for 6 adults but the value was great. The only downside was that our bay wasn't working properly. It didn't keep score properly and would sometimes say we hit more balls than we did or would say we hit less. It also kept saying we had practice balls. They sent maintenance over but the issue was not fixed. On the food side, I was pretty impressed. We only ordered a couple apps and drinks but they were very good and fairly priced. I will definitely be back again! read more

So glad they got a TopGolf in CHS! The food was good, and we absolutely LOVED that they had mini golf/putt putt for the kids- they had a blast while we waited for our bay! Our service could have been a bit better while we were waiting for a bay, and also once we got to our bay. They were very short staffed, and it really showed. They were also out of a few menu items and instead of asking what we would like instead, they just brought out what they thought would work best. It was frustrating, especially having children with us. Overall the experience was good and I will definitely be back hoping they have better service :) read more

We visited the North Charleston location to celebrate my daughter's college graduation. This is the 3rd location I've been to, and it did not disappoint. Not only did we have a great time playing the many game options they offer, we had some amazing food as well. The menu items we chose were the Asian wings, American Burger with an added over medium egg, the farmhouse flat bread, buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, French fries, tater tots and the double trouble cookie skillet. All items were top-notch This is hands down a great option for any type of gathering, from celebrating a special occasion, just hanging out or just practicing your shot. We always have a nice time. We came Wednesday May 14 on a quiet morning at 11:15 am. No promos like half price Tuesday so the bays were at best 1/3 capacity. The downstairs dining area was closed so we sat upstairs and there was just one other couple seated and already eating. We, a family of 4, sat down and ordered but it took over 27 minutes from when we placed the order to getting our food. I found this to be irritating or maybe it was just the kids getting hungry but for a quiet morning and no one else in the dining area I felt like 27 minutes was a bit long. Food was fine. 3.5 stars. Not brilliant but tasted good. My brunch scramble bowl wasn't hot but not cold either. Lukewarm. The server / bartender was very friendly and apologetic. Nothing he could've done; purely the kitchen's fault. The last time we were here in February the entire place's power had shut off. No food and drink and the bays were quiet. Hoping to get at least one solid experience here cuz it's a really nice looking place when you first walk in. read more

I enjoyed my time at top golf. I went on a Monday evening, which was not busy--we were seated at a booth as soon as we arrived, so no wait! The only weird thing is three associates were at the greeting station, and only one was helping customers. The other two just stared at us awkwardly lol. I wondered why they didn't seat us themselves. The place is enormous and very clean. We ordered the nachos and the burger. My friend said the food was ok. He didn't finish the burger. Our server was friendly, but I also hovered a lot during our game, which made my friend feel a little uncomfortable at times. Let me just say, I had a fantastic time. My golf game left a lot to be desired, but it was a load of fun. We had a smorgasbord of fajitas for food. They were great. With a few sides. I've been to multiple Top Golf's, yet this locations design is my favorite. The miniature golf location is amazing for the family or kiddos to play. Now I do wish that all bays had the sofa seating, yet the high top tables are cool. The food was spot on. We only had the wings and salad as we're trying to get our bodies ready for the summer . I will say with this being opening week we didn't get any happy hour specials, yet when they do kick-in I believe this location will be a true Charleston hot spot. If I could give a zero I would. I purchased $150 to add to my account to take advantage of a promo to get an additional $50. You can only use it for game play and not reservations but the game play is included in the reservation so the only way to use it is to be on the waitlist. I suppose since they already have your money, it's ok to make it difficult to use it. Next, I used the app to book the reservations for same day play and was forced to pay a deposit of $60. When I arrived, was told my reservation was made for 10:45 pm in error and I wasn't the only person with the issue. They can put me on waitlist but I would have to pay all over again and deposit would not be reapplied. I called and was told that this was the policy. I have been to Too Golf in other states and I have never been required to pay for half of my play in advance and then be out that full deposit because of a scheduling error. I have missed reservations before and was charged $25 not $60. Not cool read more

This place just opened last week but we've already been here 4 times. Every visit has been amazing. My family has been patiently waiting for something fun to open in our area and Topgolf has hit it out of the park. I've been to several Topgolf's and have never been disappointed with the service or food. Honestly, the food is better than expected. It gives dive bar meets golf course clubhouse. If this is your first time going to Topgolf, I recommend utilizing one of the special deals. This location offers 50% off play on Tuesdays and discounted rates before 12pm on weekdays. On your first visit you'll likely spend some time setting up your account and learning the rules of the different games they offer. If you plan to go on a Tuesday or weekend I would make a reservation in advance. This spot books up pretty quickly during these times. One of the nice things about Topgolf is you can only reserve bags a week in advance, so if you miss one opportunity to book you're not waiting too long to get another chance. read more

I hate to report that I had a very underwhelming and poor service experience at the new topgolf in North Charleston. Myself and a few coworkers came to top golf to play for a few hours after work. When we got there, the clock had already started despite us not checking in. We waiting 15 minutes for a server to even approach us and explain how to play. When she approached, she did not take our orders or offer us waters. We waited another 15 minutes and she returned to take orders, but then it took over 45 minutes to complete our order. She never brought us napkins, waters, or asked if we needed anything else. When we approached management about our food/drinks being late, she came over and stated "I could tell you were pissed at me and I did not know what I was supposed to do about your drink not being brought." It was very unprofessional and impacted our experience. The food was okay, but was significantly overpriced. All we got was chips, queso, and a few sandwiches. It took more 30 minutes to get what we ordered and some items were never delivered. The energy of the top golf was okay, and we had fun playing, but due to the poor service I question my desire to return to this location. It makes me sad because we paid a lot of money for this experience to be treated poorly and to only be served one round of drinks in two hours. read more

The group of us all came in from out of town on short notice. When we called to make a reservation, we instantly knew we would be taken care of.. And we were not wrong. From the atmosphere, to the outstanding food and beverages, not to forget the amazing bar and service staff... we had an outstanding time. I had such a great time at Topgolf! When first driving in, you are directed to park in a parking garage with multiple levels. I was hesitant I would have to pay a garage fee, but it is free of charge. After parking, the entrance is easy is find. I went at 4pm during the weekday and there was no line or issue checking in, however I did reserve a tee time online. You are allowed up to 5 guests per reservation. When walking to my reserved area, I noticed the establishment was very clean and organized. My group was then greeted by our server who was extremely friendly and briefly went over safety and how to play. While we played for two hours, we ordered food and drinks. Of course I had to order a margarita on national margarita day, and then some appetizers for the group. The margarita was great and I thought the tequila to mixer ratio was perfect. As for the food, it is mostly bar food but I thought everything tasted great. We ordered chicken fingers, pretzel bites, and steak nachos. Out of the three, I would say the steak nachos were my favorite. However they don't look like typical nachos - it is more of a quesadilla style type nacho. Nonetheless, they were delicious and I wish I had ordered more. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience at Topgolf with the friendly staff, the food, and the game. My only suggestion is you're an avid golfer, I wouldn't reserve one table for 5 people as it will obviously take longer to play and your reservation is based off your reserved time. For me, 2 hours was perfect. The food was also decently priced - not too cheap, not too expensive. I believe that you get what you pay for here, and I paid for a great experience.
