There are no workers staying bc they don`t get paid. Only new fouls start working there and leave after a few weeks when they don`t see a paycheck.Tons of lawsuits pilling up against the owner.( google Zim Gwee and Topline Auto). Current location is a dump with shitty cars stored all over the place. They used to be a decent business a few yrs back but owner has a gambling problem and ruined it. I dont trust any mechanics other than Zim and his team. Zim specializes in BMWs and I take my E39 M5 there for any repairs. Zim is friendly, helpful and extremely detailed oriented, which the M5 needs. I consider Zim the master finder of all leaks. There has not been a single issue that he can not fix. I also take my ford explorer here as well, ignoring the Ford Dealer. I have had paint repairs, major mechanical replacements, engine work, electrical work, body work, and anything else you can think of done at Topline. When you go there you can immediately feel the love of cars that his staff and friends have. There are some really beautiful and rare gems constantly at his shop. There are many people who trust Zim with work on their cars (If you read the 1 star review, this will answer why there are cars there for long periods of time) and do major mechanical work. The shop is quite busy with not just sales but with all his repeat customers who trust only him to work on their cars. Typically those cars are their project vehicles that Zim spends a ton of time and dont need to be rushed out the door. He is loved in the BMW community so you will find major rebuilds happening there as well. Zim works with the manufacturers and warranties, often putting in way more time than what he makes so that his customers get the best deal. I have also bought 2 additional vehicles from Zim. Both were used and both were inspected and worked on by Zim. A 2019 Corvette Stingray and a 2015 Jeep Sahara; I haven't had a single issue. I have spent so much time at this shop (mainly because I adore his staff and family) because Zim takes the time to sit with me and show me where the problems are, what my options are, and what are the things he would do. I promise, if you want to go to a major car dealer to fix your car, they will find all kinds of problems, even ones that dont exist. Topline is a family run business. Zim will tell you about any issue and then give you the option to fix only what is really needed; including how to save on labor and parts. I bought a Mercedes SL from Zim. During the registration of the car, DMV charged me over $2,000 for some late fees from the previous owner. Zim did not mention to me about that and was not willing to cover the fees. Few days later I started to notice a list of issues with the car. One of the problems was the check engine turned on and another issue was the leaking oil. I took the car back because the check engine did not allow me to smog the car. Zim said he will take care of it, after diagnosis on the computer it was supposed to be a small issue to fix and the oil leak was supposed to be the residue from oil change. The car has been at his shop for 4 weeks now. He did not respond to my text messages so I had to go there in person. Turns out the car was sitting outside all this time (in the sun) despite the fact that Zim personally assured me that he will store it inside. Parts were all over the car. When I asked Zim what is the status and why it is taking so long, he responded that the car has an issue with the computer and it will take much longer now. When I asked why he did not inform me about it, he said that he was too busy. The oil leak also turns out to be a huge problem which will require to remove the transmission to fix a leaking gasket. I noticed in his garage that all the cars that were there 4 weeks ago were still being repaired. So at that point I asked him to give me a car back (I was already late passing the smog at that time) but he said he can't give me the car back because his mechanic has to put all the parts back. It has been a week now and I still can't get my car back from Zim. He is not trustworthy person and I don't think that his mechanics are able to do any work outside of a simple tire change or oil change. Go somewhere else read more

LIPSTICK ON A PIG THE LIPSTICK We were in the market for a Mercedes GL350 BlueTec & found the perfect one online. We contacted Topline to make an appointment to test drive it on April 20th 2019. The owner of the company, Zim, was our contact and he shuffled us off to one of his sales guys (forgot his name) for the test drive. Once we got back we were shuffled to another sales guy (Vladimir). We finally settled on a price and got $1500 trade in on a 2011 Toyota Prius with beaucoup miles on it (That we disclosed was on its last leg). Vladimir assured us that the Mercedes had thoroughly been gone over, by their mechanics, after it was purchased from an auction and was without any issues. He then tried to sell us a $4000+ warranty. I told him that we were not interested in a warranty & that Topline's Yelp reviews looked pretty good and that we would be relating our experiences (good or bad) with Topline on Yelp and other online review sites. He said "Please give us the opportunity to make any problems right before posting a negative review" I assured him that we would. These guys are super nice, informative and low pressure. They even refunded us $13 for registration! The owner, Zim, actually sent us a text wishing us a Happy Easter! They say that hindsight is 20/20, so looking back it occurs to me that the same could be said about Jeffery Dahmer's interaction with his victims prior to his drugging, raping, killing and cannibalizing his victims. I will concede that I don't know if Dahmer actually wished his victims a "Happy Easter", but I'm pretty sure that he was super nice to encourage them to let their guard down. THE PIG We drove the vehicle home, around town and to Reno: only highway and surface streets without issue. Two weeks (15 days) later, on the morning of May 6th, 2019 a check engine light came on. We took it to a local Mercedes repair shop (Stuttgart Motors in Sacramento) who computer diagnosed it to have Ad Blue & Timing issues that they thought maybe covered under warranty by Mercedes Benz USA. They referred us to Mercedes Benz of Stockton: A factory authorized Mercedes-Benz Service Center, who employs only factory-trained and certified technicians to diagnose and work on their vehicles. They spent 2 weeks going back and forth, on our behalf, with Mercedes Benz USA to try and get the warranty items covered under the 80,000 mile Emissions Warranty. They were not able to. Mercedes of Stockton also found that the transfer case was leaking badly, the CV boot was torn, The AdBlue Pump was faulty, the timing Belt was stretched & the timing tensioner needed replacing. Now it's "POSSIBLE" that ALL of this occurred in the 15 DAYS from when we picked up the SUV from Topline to when the engine light came on, but what is MUCH more likely is that Topline either missed these items on their "inspection" of the vehicle or knew about them and sold it to us anyway. I am a man of my word and gave Zim, the owner of Topline, several opportunities (via e-mail & text) to "make it right". His solution was that we bring the vehicle to him so that he could confirm the findings of a Certified Authorized Mercedes Benz Service Center. Screw me Once: Shame on you, Screw me Twice: Shame on me! I told him that driving the vehicle with a damaged timing belt could further damage the vehicle and that if he wanted to have it towed to his shop, that it would be fine. CRICKETS (No Response). I paid cash ($5,800+ Please see the diagnosis and repair receipt in the photos if allowed) to have the required work done and forwarded the receipt to Zim/Topline, requesting that he pay for a portion (or all) of the work that his company should have done (per his salesman saying that it had been inspected and all repairs had been done) or not missed. I also informed him that I would be relating my experience with Topline accordingly. CRICKETS *chirp* *chirp*. The only solace is that I didn't purchase the overpriced Warranty and was able to put that $ toward the repairs. I would HIGHLY recommend NOT doing business with this company, but if you do at lease you may get a reach around when they're giving you the Ol' Hucklebuck up your backside. *OINK* *OINK* read more

I brought my 2017 Mustang GT to Topline for some tire and suspension modifications and it turned out great. Thomas and Tim did an awesome job getting the car perfect! They took their time to make sure it was done correctly and to ensure the car was safe to drive. They even asked me to bring the car back in about 100 miles after the suspension has settled to make sure all of the bolts and wheel alignment are solid. Many service shops would probably not even be aware of this important follow-up step. Honestly - I could not be more happy! Zim and Paul got me set up with a fantastic car. No-pressure to buy, offered a very fair price, got me a great financing package and warranty! They were kind, courteous, patient, professional and very detail-oriented. This is the first buying experience that I felt was completely consultative, and not "selling" - they did not try to "close me" - I actually met with them several times to see the same few cars. The car has been fantastic so far - no issues at all - not to mention that it is a RARE find - no dents, scratches or damages, low mileage, and a very transparent buying experience. I've had Topline detail a couple of my units. I like their attention to detail, no pun intended. They service and sell late model luxury vehicles as a primary business (in the shop were an Aston Martin, Rolls and a Lamborghini among others) which, as you might imagine, require expert detailing to bring those resale vehicles condition as close to new as possible...another plus they knew a lot about my vehicles. I opted for the touch-up paint service as well which elevates the score to 4 stars, good option to restore nicks and chips the lower fender tends to collect. I accidently scratched one of my rear wheels on the curb as I was making a right hand turn. Topline had repaired the wheel to 100% like new condition. I say 100% because I cannot find where the scratch was on my wheel! It actually does look brand new! I especially would like to give Topline's Mechanics, and Detailers the highest praise and appreciation for the excellent job they have been doing for my car and other customers. We just bought our 6th car from Zim - going back 20+ years now - this latest one for my daughter. I'm well in my 60's and spent years getting screwed sideways and run in circles by every shyster in the car business - until I met Zim and the Topline peeps. We have a simple rule in our family - Zim is in charge of our purchases, repairs (insured or not) and ongoing maintenance, end of discussion. It is not the cheapest shop in the area, but it gets done right - and thoroughly, from top to bottom. My companies require a lot of time on the road in far flung locations, usually distant from large cities. I cannot afford the time for breakdowns or deferred maintenance issues. I was looking for an alternative place rather than BMW dealership to have my X5 serviced. Topline was referred by my friend who has been going there as a long term customer. I arrived Thursday morning at 10:30 (made appointment the day before) and pretty much right away the car was taken in and being worked on. The staff and crew are very friendly and professional. The tech found loose tensioner in the engine compartment and recommend to change it - Forgot to mention to them that I had been noticing some slight humming sound while the car was running. So I went with their recommendation and change the tensioner. A few hours later, I picked up my car after the service was done. Wow the humming sound was gone and the car ran so good! The bill was reasonable (much better than the dealership for the service that I got). Right next to the service area it's their car dealer department so you can also spend some time looking at some nice looking cars! This concerns their auto service only. The staff (Joel, if he's still there) and owner are nice and friendly but the people actually performing the service are simply incompetent, even though owner claims to send them for factory training annually. My first experience there, a simple Service B oil change on my Mercedes Benz was fine. The service was prompt, the staff was friendly, the price was good, and etc. So I decided this was going to be my regular place. The second time I went for another oil change things weren't so great. Same great front of the house service but after I got my vehicle back I drove from (their old location at) Carolan Ave. and made it to the corner of Broadway and California before my "oil level" warning light went on. I had to take it back. The owner claimed that they overfilled the oil but my suspicion was that they did not fill it enough. Who knows. They resolved it. I decided to give them another chance since I was satisfied with the service the first time around and people make mistakes. I took it in for another Service B oil change (in September '14) and they mentioned a leaking gasket, of which I was aware and finally decided to have them take care of it ($45.80 for parts and $442.00 labor, not including tax). Less than three months later my car's transmission control unit failed. Since I had another vehicle I let it sit for a few weeks and then initially contacted Topline to see about performing the repair but they wanted to charge me for a Diagnostic Test. Many places that have their own Diagnostics will run it for free (it's a computer program and takes just a few minutes to identify the problem) so I tried an ex-MB service guy in the area. He popped the hood took a look and immediately commented, "Did you get your gasket serviced? It doesn't seem that they know what they are doing. They did not seal it properly and it's leaking." Geez, what was the point of going to Topline for the service in the first place. Long story short, I did not get my transmission work done at the MB guy because he wanted to replace the whole transmission. I had another ex-MB guy in Mountain View recommended to me and he made the same comment about the gasket but he said that there is a module that's faulty in the transmission and only the module needed to be replaced, which I had him do and the transmission has been fine ever since. Back to Topline...after I got my transmission issue serviced I took my car back to Topline (in January '15) to fix the leaking gasket. They admitted the issue and serviced it under warranty. When they pulled my vehicle up to return it to me I immediately noticed something wrong. I can see something through the vehicle air intake mesh under the grille. They had left of tube of something, I suspect sealant, in my car. When I pointed it out the service person tried to push in (WTF?) the air intake mesh to access the tube instead of either reaching under or perhaps opening the hood. Having failed at his attempt he took the vehicle back and had the tube removed and returned the vehicle to me. When I got home I took a look at the vehicle and noticed my shiny tire stem on my front passenger side tire compared to the tires. Why was it so shiny? My car came back missing the cap for the stem. At this point my patience with these guys had run out. I did not even want to bother with them on this minor detail. Last year I took my car back to the guy that did my transmission for regular service and he mentioned that the gasket still looked like it was leaking. I asked whether it could be residual from the last time when they had not sealed it properly. He commented that if they did in fact fix it right the second time around then maybe that could be it. As much as I like the guy in Mountain View he is too far away so I just YESTERDAY I took my vehicle elsewhere (to a place recommended to my wife) for Service B and right away he mentioned a leaking gasket. I mentioned that I had it taken care of a couple of years ago and he says that it looks as if nobody ever fixed the gasket previously so now I am getting my leaking gasket addressed all over again, as if it was never done in the first place, which is pretty much the case except that I am out the roughly $500 that I gave to Topline the first time around. Thanks for nothing. I was going to comment that I do not recommend these guys for any major service but maybe a simple oil change may be okay but then again they could not even do an oil change right on my second visit there. I writing aboutTopline Automobile to say how happy i am i recently purchased a lexus from them and i was told it was purchased at the Vehicle Auction after going over the price of the vehicle and going back and forth over. What would possibly be the best arrangement for us? We decided to buy the extended warranty being that. The car is from the auction and there's really no way to really know what the history is. It is a used car after all. And whenever you buy a used car. You can't 100% be aware of every little detail that could go wrong. So the extended warranty. Was the best option for us we purchased it. And it turned out to be the best thing we could do. We did have a small issue with the vehicle. Returned it to Topline automobile. I mechanic or just their warranty person came out looked at it. Authorized the work to be done and the vehicle is repaired within 4 days. We didn't have to pay $0.01 because of the fact that we had the warranty. So I would like to thank everybody including zimm and his crew at Topline automobile. Our Lexus is running beautifully. I'm happy my wife is happy.
