So far I have eaten food from Topock 66 a handful of times off the takeout menu. I have ordered the BBQ tri- tip sandwich every time except once when I ordered the pulled pork. The pulled pork sandwich was pretty tasty but I'm kind of stuck on the tri-tip. The roll it is served on is fresh and soft with a slight chew. Memorial Day Weekend heading east from California along I-40, I spotted all sorts of boats cruising on the Colorado River. Desperate to release some bodily fluids, I cranked a right on exit #1 just before the Welcome to Arizona sign. Go left......you're going to want to go right, but seriously, go left. Follow the winding road sliding under the old Sante Fe railroad bridge and you'll see Topock 66 on the left. IF you catch it at the right time, on the right day, you will jump right into a PARTY complete with Band, BBQ, Bikini Pool Party and lots of fin people!! See photos lol. I splurged and got one of each sandwich: chicken, pork and Tri-tips. Sauce was good, added some Cholula sauce and waded in. You get chips too but I'm all carnivore. Pork was the best, Tritips were tough (Elsa the Pom enjoyed them) and chicken good. Food was okay. Atmosphere was superb!! Hidden gem. Easy to miss. Stay focused. read more

My review might change once I use the other amenities, but we swung by here yesterday to give it a shot. We had seen it during the rebuild and were excited to see it finish. the building aesthetics completely blew us away. I wish my house was like this setup. A live band was playing and the pool was nice (didn't swim, but I love that it is an option) Really really neat place. Love the look, the bathrooms are awesome (my hubby scoped out when the mens was empty so that I could get a peek of the urinals...I have never wanted to pee in a urinal until now) Love it. Food. It was good. I had the tri-tip dip which was pretty tasty, Tri-tip is one of those things that I'm in a love hate relationship, and theirs was more on the love side. The meat was smoky and delicious and the only complaint was the au jus was a little watery. But horsey aioli, - total win. Our server was awesome and really friendly, and it appeared genuine. Everyone seemed happy to be working there, like it was a fun atmosphere, so that's always a plus. Prompt service and good gold beer make me happy. Decided to go here to eat after a long day at the sand bar. There was many courtesy slips to park your boat and to go eat. There is outdoor seating and indoor. We sat outdoor near the bar due to having our 2 dogs with us. A waiter acknowledged us right away. The drinks and food came pretty quick. The food was not bad and the menu was very simple. This place is known for there smoked meat and BBQ, which is AMAZING by the way! I also heard they have really good breakfast burritos. After we finished, we decided to look around at the place. Looking around, we found a huge pool which customer can jump in and cool off! There is even a swim up bar in the pool with a stage that sits over the swim up pool! I really stuggled to decide how many stars to give this place. I settled on 4 as some off putting things are not the fault of the establishment. First the food, remember that this area is a food wasteland where most food is subpar at best honestly such is not the case here. The food here was pretty damn good for the middle of nowhere and I would eat here again. Onion rings were on point you can tell they are hand battered. They arrived hot from the fryer and crispy. The ranch they serve is also "good" ranch the type you secretly want to out on everything. Gollywobblers...aka cow balls we tried them becuase come on how often can you say you ate cow balls. I have no frame of reference by which to judge these...they were slightly over battered but had good flavor a bit on the salty side. The "ball" portion was mild in flavor and slightly chewy. If nothing else try them for novelty's sake. We also had fried pickles or fickle as they call them. The pickles are spears and are as good as any I have had elsewhere...these are a safe bet if you dig fried pickels. I had the BBQ tri-tip sandwich. The tri-tip was tender and had been nicely smoked. Topok 66 has a smoke house on site...I can't comment on what all they do smoke here but that tri-tip was goood. Prices are average in my opinion for sure not what you would think you would pay where there is so little to offer. All in all eat here you shouldn't be disappointed. Next service was 5 stars all the way. Our waitress' name was Sam I believe and she did a great job checking on us and making sure drinks were full. We asked for waters in addition to our beers and she brought a pitcher of ice water for us. I honestly have no complaints she was very pleasant and on top of it. They also have a pretty good bloody mary a little spicy just how I like them...worth a try if you fancy yourself a bl.oody mary. They have a breakfast menu if you happen to up and about early on. Atmosphere this is the part that I stuggled with in terms of my star rating. This place is cool from the ass barstool to the outdoor stage and pool the hang out in. There is quit a bit of shade over the tables but there are s quite a few tables in full sun which sucks when you want to cool off and relax after a long day on the river. The clientele here is what is obnoxious, fastinating, and the reason I struggled with a star rating. The crowd here seemed to be a mix of bros and bro hoes....being loud and obnoxious drinking bud light and making you want to throat punch them. Then there are the look at me crowd and the mid-life crises crowd. Thrown in to the mix were a sprinkle of "normal" ass people like me and the party I was with. Honestly it was like a tamed down version of Havasu. If you can snag a table away from the crowd and in the shade it is for sure not too much to tolerate. I get that this part may make me seem like a judgy asshole but hey I want to give you a heads up of what to expect. ...drink a few and who cares who else is there right. This spot is right on the water and has docks and fuel for you boats or skis. So overall go here check it out its worth it for sure. Then make your own judgements about the food and the people. This place needs to get it together. A few weeks ago we stopped here for gas. No issues, it's pricey but hey when you need fuel you'll pay the $4.99 gallon. We noticed the 24hr gas banner hanging that's at the start of the inlet and thought great always a place to get fuel. Wrong, very very wrong. Went out for a day boating with the distinct plans to stop there on way back and put the $50 for 10 gallons of fuel to safely get is back up river to find they in fact DO NOT have fuel avail for 24 hours a day. It says pay inside, apparently if the store is closed no fuel, even if the restaurant is open. They will tell you to try at pump but the cc reader is covered in tape and Route 66 stickers. When you finally get it off, which clearly it wasn't meant to be taken off, it says network error. In all don't rely on getting fuel here. They probably won't be open even though they advertise with a large banner fuel 24hrs. read more

So I had the displeasure of ordering drinks from Beth, she was nice enough until I mentioned she had forgotten to make one of the drinks I had just ordered. After implying I never ordered it, she proceded to take and fill orders for about 10 other people.Now, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt most time and I hate making a scene, but even the couple next to me was like you gotta say something. After about 20 minutes of waiting, I finally asked if she had forgotten to make the drink, That had to be the angriest cocktail ive ever had made for me. Couple next to me felt so bad they insisted on helping me carry the drinks out to the rest of my group outside. After the first round was done, I went to get drinks again and guess who I got... Same shitty attitude, same shitty service. Honestly she was so bad that I went and ordered a shot right before I left just to get her name off the reciept to leave this review. Management, you should be embarrassed for hiring such a toxic employee, this girl has no business in being in any customer service position. Having been in AZ for three years now we decided it was a good time to stop in and check it out. The road is clear so it is a good time to go. Turning into the driveway is a bit tricky however Ron is an excellent drivers and we made it safely. At first glance it is an old metal shack with a dock. Several glass garage doors but only a few really would open. There is the blue as blue river that looks so inviting however the wind is blowing pretty strong. And a pool so clean and crystal clear you could see the chair in the bottom! The wind ripped the canvas shade as we were eating lunch. Which was delicious and I discovered a new to me type of cup. In the bottom of my beer was a magnetic coupon for the gift shop.. oh I will try to get some or make some way cool!!
