Twice now I have called ahead and both times my simple order - one item, no modifications - was wrong when I arrived and they were remaking it. Great they caught it before I left, but disappointed this seems to be a theme. I asked for a discount and they said "we can't do that." If I could give zero, I would. I had to wait an hour and 45 minutes for delivery. I called the store after an hour and was told that it was taking so long because I "wasn't the only person ordering pizza today". So, apparently they only know how to deliver on time if you're the only person ordering pizza on that day. So I had an issue with an order I placed and the guy immediately apologized and offered a coupon or a resend of the problem. Skip the delivery, go for pickup. This has to be one of the most creative lobbies of a pizza place I've come across. 4 TVs, with one always on Nick Jr. My 3 year old appreciates that. Not to mention a basketball hoop, hula hoops, and other fun things to keep you occupied. That is to say you won't be waiting forever for your pizza. Typically just a few minutes, but a fun atmosphere to be in. The food, oh yeah. It's solid. Great specialty pizzas, including the buffalo chicken pizza and the taco pizza. This was my worst experience ever! My boyfriend and I have recently been ordering a lot from them at least twice a week. Tonight he ordered me nacho stixs extra nacho cheese sauce and meat. When it got here I opened it up a hair cooked in the cheese and not a drop of nacho cheese sauce. I call the store after 5 minutes a guy picks up. Whether I'm picking up or ordering for delivery, the people I deal with tend to be just awful. I ordered pizza a few weeks ago, and they got the order wrong. After sighing like I was the worst person in the world, they mailed me a 50% off my next order coupon. Ok, cool. I order pizza yesterday. They tell me it'll be 35 minutes. 1 hour and 15 minutes later I call to see what's going on. I'm told "Oh, yeah, she just left 5 minutes ago. Why don't you give her some time to arrive?". I told him to forget about delivering the pizza, I wanted a refund and I'd drive 3 miles to Dominos. Topper's follow through with any of their promises is dismal. Only after we ordered Dominos did the Topper's guy show up with cold pizza and missing some of the extra sauce I paid for. Bunch of losers. I was out drinking so I didn't expect much from my local toppers. I ordered at 1:15 am on a Friday night. I got the ETA of 1:43 am, not to far off from what to expect. Here I am at 2:22 am with no pizza. I called a little after 2 am and was on hold for about 8 minutes. When they picked up, they said they were on the way. The location is about a 3 minutes away. My wife and I ordered this a bit later than dinner time one night around 8:30pm. We just wanted something somewhat light so we ordered the triple Original Topperstix accompanied with three sauce cups. First off, the Topperstix were pretty good and I would say they were better than Pokey Stix. Glass Nickel cheese bread which is really akin to Stix, is the best bet for your wallet and taste buds. If you haven't tried that, you should. I must mention that the PD location can't be too busy on a Tuesday night, but they still managed to be about ten minutes later than their stated delivery time. Consequently, the Stix were not the freshest. In addition, two of the three sauce cups were only filled about half-way - without sauce, I'm sorry, the Topperstix are a bit bland. It's like buffalo wings without the buffalo. So guys, FILL THOSE SAUCE CUPS!!! With such competition, Toppers should be careful or the competition will wipe them out. I live only 10 minutes from toppers, so it definitely wasn't the drive time... Don't waste your time. With places like Sugar River nearby, spend the extra dollar or two, get fantastic pizza, and be eating within 40 minutes of your order. read more

My husband asked if he ordered another one right now would it look like this? And he said yes!! Wow!! Simply amazing the attitude on this guy. Let me start by saying I'm a New York native and I'm generally not satisfied with the delivery pizza options in the Verona area. That said, Topper's is very good considering its competition here on the south side. I ordered the 2 medium pizza deal for $7.99 (3 toppings) which is a very good price compared to Glass Nickel and AJ's. I also ordered hot buffalo boneless wings. The crust on the hand-tossed pizza is superb, compared to every other pizza joint in the area. It has that super chewy mouth feel with a foldable slice that I have been hard-pressed to find outside of New York. The cheese is decent low moisture mozzarella, not bad but not spectacular either. It's the same cheese everyone else uses and it's head and shoulders above the plastic, sickly sweet stuff that Pizza Hut throws on their pies. The tomato sauce is pretty standard too - the dipping sauces, while not my preferred way to eat pizza, make up for otherwise slightly bland tomato sauce. I could not stop dipping once I tasted the parmesan garlic sauce though - it is absolutely fantastic. Fresh toppings round out the four stars - no canned mushrooms here and the onions were obviously sliced recently, not sitting in cold storage for two days. As far as delivery goes, Topper's will be my first choice for value, and for that amazing crust that makes me feel like I'm 16 again, walking to the park after school and buying a couple slices of pepperoni from that pervy old Italian guy that ran the corner pizzeria. Glass Nickel is a close second but far too expensive for my preference. The boneless wings? I'll have to revisit them another time. They had a nice hotness to them without too much fire, and were cooked well, but the breading was soggy with buffalo sauce by the time they arrived at my door and I missed out on the crunch factor which is the only reason I really ever buy boneless wings. All in all, Topper's is my new favorite in the Verona area, but they don't really have any decent competition. read more

We ordered sandwiches for delivery on a Tuesday night. The ordering process was smooth, professional and polite. The order arrived within the stated time, so that was another plus. Now the minuses...when ordering the person taking the order offered me a deal of two sandwiches plus two 20 oz. sodas for $12.99, then proceeded to tell me the total would be $16.46. That's a hefty delivery charge if you ask me, and sorry but that reduces the tip! I understand the driver does not receive any of the delivery charge, but jacking the order from $12.99 to $16+ makes me not have much left for a tip. Now the sandwiches...we both ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. They were both covered heavily in cheese, making the bun a soggy mess. Cheese seemed to be the main ingredient in the sandwich, very sparse with the meat and veggie toppings.
