Great place to come by for a hot dinner on a snowy winter night. Wild State Cider Strawberry Punch: Very bubbly had more of a cider flavor than strawberry. I couldn't taste much of the fruity scents. Specialty Pizza - Amazon Deluxe: Basically a combo pizza. Crust was fluffy and lightly buttered. Pizza is more fluffy than thin. Shrimp Ravioli with Red Pepper Cream: There's more the pasta than shrimp, bit underwhelming on seafood stuffing. To me, the red pepper cream wasn't spicy but flavorful. Garden Side Salad: Red tomato was juicy and salad was light and refreshing. Cheese wasn't too powerful and it provided a nice savory flavor.

Our waiter was fantastic and funny too! Best spinach artichoke dip I've had in a really long time. The calzones are amazing and huge enough for lunch the next day! Crust is perfect and the sauce - you could just drink it lol! All of the pizzas were scrumptious too. Cute environment and clean.

Fair prices, well cooked pizzas, and intriguing specialties. I find it interesting that they replace tomato sauce with whatever the base of the specialty calls for. For example, we got the Rio Grande bbq chicken, and typically I'd see the bbq sauce drizzled on top, but here it's fully incorporated within. My friend said it made the pizza too sauce-y, and I would agree (though I like bbq sauce so I didn't mind as much). Overall though, this is a great place with friendly service and I would definitely come back again to try some of their other flavors!

I'm new to Madison and this place was recommended. What a quality feast. Fresh and delicious. This pizza even heated up next day very nicely. Staff was kind and attentive too. All around very satisfying.

Stopped here for a late lunch and we were not disappointed. We ordered the typical garlic cheese bread along with a pepperoni and olive pizza. Both items were done to perfection and came out hot like they were just pulled from the oven. The service was amazing, attentive and she made some great suggestions from the menu. The atmosphere was family friendly with kids running around having a good time. I would recommend stopping here if you are in the Madison/Verona area.

Wow! What a fantastic pizza place. Everything was sooooooo good. The service, the portions, the food! Not one single complaint. Nothing could have been better. It is worth driving 2 hours away for their pizza and salad. I had their gluten free pizza and will definitely get the taco again. The chicken bacon ranch salad was huge...and I only had a half portion. I repeat, what is shown is a HALF chicken bacon ranch salad. Go. You. Will. Not. Regret. It. Lastly, they have coke products!

I dined in on a weekend for lunch. There was a good number of people, but still I got a seat right away. The pizzas were very innovative. Asian chicken pizza was my favorite. It had nice flavor punch. The elote pizza was another excellent pizza. Kids chicken strips was good.

I tried this restaurant for the first time and it is fairly priced! The pizzas were delicious and had plenty of toppings. I got the Amazon Deluxe and I added pineapples. Quick service and good pizza. I would recommend!

Probably one of the best pizzas in Dane County. Try the Amazon pizza if you like meat and veggies, you won't be disappointed. Excellent beer list mainly with local breweries on tap and Paulaner Pilsner from Germany which goes great with the pizzas !

Rio Grande BBQ Chicken* The Tropics*

We ate dinner at Sugar River Pizza on a Friday and it was great! They have a huge menu with a lot of different options. We got a 14in pizza- half Rio Grande BBQ Chicken and half The Tropics. The restaurant was busy but we didn't have to wait too long for our food. Service was great and our meal was very affordable! We will be back! *I highly recommend a reservation, we tired to go the Friday before and it was an hour wait. But we returned the next Friday with a reservation made earlier in the day and we were sat right away!

I've been to Sugar River Pizza in New Glarus, WI and had a totally enjoyable experience. While visiting family in Wisconsin we had the opportunity to stop in at this Verona, WI. location. It in located in a nice plaza and ample parking. We had a group of 6 and the place was busy but there were open tables; so we had our choice of watching football or no tvs directly by us. We choose the later! We were greeted nicely and directed to our booth. A waiter Ethan soon addressed us and took our drink orders along with waters. We got a few appetizers of breadsticks, fried cheese curds, fried pickles, waffle fries and onion rings. Ethan was very engaged in taking good of us. Our drink arrived and shortly after the appetizers I only sampled the waffle fries and onion rings; both very good. Others sampled the rest of appetizers; all was very good and tasty. I especially liked the onion rings, nicely lightly breaded and crispy but juicy and the waffle fries were crisp and seasoned just right. Our piazzas were a kid's 6" with 1 topping carrots; a Missy Figgy small; an Amazon Deluxe and a Elote pizza. The pizza didn't take too long to arrive; every pizza seemed to be done just right and each had their distinct flavors. Yes; we ordered too much but what could be boxed was taken home for future meals. ( yum pizza for breakfast ). Ethan did a great job in taking excellent service; attending to our needs and checking on us occasionally to make sure all was good. This being my second time at a Sugar River Puzza Co. I was not disappointed. My favorite was the Amazon; the Elote too much corn and the Missy Figgy I didn't try; not a big fan of fruit on pizza unless an all fruit pizza, fresh and chilled. Highly recommend taking time out to visit this location.

Build your own - onions, red pepper, goat cheese, extra sauce. YUMMMM

Love this no-frills deli with the focus on what's important- amazing bread in perfectly balanced sandwich (and yes, for me that means not a TON of meat but it was satisfying and not meat-heavy. I thought the ratio of bread/cheese/meat was just right). Gino's also has a lot of pasta salad options (I've heard good things about both the Cajun chicken pasta salad and the pesto chicken salad but literally just made two pasta salads for this weekend so I'll have to try those next time). They also have ingredients for pizza in the fridge and pre-made lasagnas, pizzas, and desserts (Tiramisu!!!). It also sounds like they sometimes sell cannoli fresh, made-to-order. Great hidden gem, definitely check it out. I will say, I also got the Italian sub and I was less impressed with the meat/bread/cheese ratio (not enough meat, too much cheese) but that pestrami was chef's kiss. Also we saw a worker on break when we arrived and he was eating the meatball sub-looked incredible but we didn't try it this time (we were eating on the go and that can be tricky with meatballs!)

Upon arrival, it was so helpful to have our own assigned parking spot. As soon as we entered the lobby, Debbie was a delight and greeted me by name; she escorted us to our suite and showed us the amenities and answered any questions we had. The room was clean and spacious, and the grounds along the Sugar River were lovely. We were immensely pleased with our stay. The Seafood Soirée event felt hodge-podge. VIPs didn't get any sort of band to tip off the bartenders that our drinks were free for the first hour; two separate times I heard staff in other areas talking about workers getting placed behind the bar without being trained (one resulted in a coordinator having to comp a bottle of wine as the bar staff was misinformed). So the lines were long, the chairs should have been pulled away from the bar as they got in the way and people tried to sit in them. Trying to meet Andrew Zimmern as a person with manners was difficult as staff didn't even attempt to keep order and people kept budging in without waiting. The food served during the VIP hour was underwhelming. Then we get to 4 pm and walk out to the stations to find the food wasn't ready. Cue milling about. Then the two chef celebrities didn't even speak on time. We eventually left early and went back to our room. So regarding coordinating and hosting an event, they really missed the mark. We would definitely stay at the Inn again, and in fact are already talking about returning. But would we spend a few hundred dollars to attend an event there again? No.

Not all cheese in Wisconsin are worth getting excited over. Ok. That seems fair in light of their efforts. Don't hang a sign saying walkins welcomed on the sidewalk when you treat those that walk in like they're not. Our server was attentive-not quite to a fault-and responded quickly. Actually he was really nice and likely oversaw the reconciliation. The high top bar setting is good-not too loud but open and I love a kitchen view. As for the food I'll mostly ignore their cheese tower-though the pickles and mustard was stand out great. But the entrees. The haddock fish fry was perfect. Though the slaw is flavorless. Truly great fish fry. Top 5 in Dane county. Their short rib was amazing. Tender. Polenta cubes delicious. Veggies great. They both suffered from the same problem. Staging. For the fish fry the fries were at best ambient room temp. For the short rib the polenta was the same. They both lose their temp fast. So. Someone plated them first and then the meat was super temp hot at serving. Time it better-freshman error. But I stand by it. Mostly great tasting food. Really good service. If halves were allowed it be 3.5
