We have ordered pizza delivered from this establishment since the pandemic hit. I posted one negative review after they canceled our online order, and never told us they canceled it. Tonight was even worse: I went online and ordered a special for two pizzas. The website took my order, told me my order would show up at 7:52pm. Then, I got a phone call saying that they couldn't complete my order, because to get the special advertised on their website, you also have to order wings or some other add-on. I agreed to the additional order (at a considerable charge, because we had just gotten in from Chicago and were very hungry). BUT NEVER AGAIN. Their website is full of lies. This is an example of how even with a great product, you can loose a customer because of poor service. My husband ordered two medium pizza online AN HOUR AN HALF AGO with a given delivery time of 1:30pm. It is now past 2pm and when we called to check on it, there was first off, no apology for the wait, and then they tried to put the blame on their online system saying that it gave us the wrong delivery time. To make matters worse, the guy says the pizza SHOULD be out for delivery now. SHOULD?!? You don't know where your drivers are? You don't know where your orders are? This isn't the first time our wait time extended past the quoted time, but the "don't care" attitude of the staff was especially prevalent this time around. I have near 500 reviews at the point and I have never once dropped my rating to a 1 star, but good job Toppers, you are the first! yes, Toppers, you have a good product, but not good enough to warrant treating customers with disregard, and managing your operations this poorly. Ordered contactless delivery. Rather than dropping it off at my door the employee called me and asked me to come outside. I step outside my house and the employee is parked at the end of the street and yelled for me to come over. They handed me the pizza through their car window (no mask) and sped off. Absolutely unacceptable. Called to complain and was hung up on. Wow. I have never had such a terrible experience. Ordered $110 worth of pizza for the nurses on my unit. Missing a box of cheese bread, and the put meat on a vegetarian pizza. Called to tell about the mistake, Star (what a rude lady) immediately starts saying they didn't mess up, they don't make mistakes, they remember all customers names, voices, and orders. When asked to repeat my order to me, star responds with "I shouldn't have to" UM???? She then starts saying someone else named Christian from the same hospital called with the same issue and insinuating we're trying to get free food. Lady I whatever issue you had with Christian has nothings to do with me, maybe if you guys stopped messing up you'd stop getting calls about your mistakes? You guys seems to be the common denominator. She then hung up in my face. Call back from a different number and star answers, asked to speak to a manager and you hear star in the background talking to a guy "you have more authority than me tell them what I said" Thomas answers the phone, he was very nice and respectful but still mentioned they cannot give me a refund or my missing food. Then days I have to call the general manager in the morning to deal with my issue. The service was so terrible I want to buy the establishment and shut it down. I don't care about the missing or messed up food, star got my blood boiling.. Good thing I'm at work and can't go up there. 0/10, I'd rather eat my sh*t for dinner next time. read more

First off, good luck placing an order at the Grand Rapids-Wealthy St store. They turn their delivery apps off most nights a week so they appear closed. Second, if you are able to place an order and go to pick it up, have fun wading through the loiterers outside. Is this place a pizza parlor or liquor store? I'm pretty sure these are friends of either the owner or employees. I've seen police out there numerous times. I'd be pretty ashamed if I owned this place. We chose Toppers for a lazy Saturday dinner on account of a recently received direct mail flyer. They had a selection of interesting pizzas and we decided to give the Buffalo Chicken Tall Boy pie a try. Called in an order for delivery and we were the happy recipients of a pizza about 40 minutes later. The large tall boy pie was HUGE and each slice was very hefty. The buffalo chicken topping was pretty good, just a tad too spicy for the average palate (though I personally thought it was fine.) I cannot believe they deliver so late every day of the week! They're definitely filling a niche in that regard. I did not realize they were a chain until I looked on their website-- but Toppers is worth a try regardless. read more

I ordered the vegan Buffalo pizza and it was soggy and overly greasy. It upset my stomach but I recommend the vegan crispy chicken replacement. Wouldn't order the vegan Buffalo chicken pizza again. Went through 2 different delivery drivers in 2 hours, and then they cancelled the order on me. Both drivers made it to their restaurant.

Toppers claims to have informed me that they could not complete my order prior to cancelling the order outright. I received no email, no call, and no text alert to inform me of their inability to complete the order. I believe that laziness and poor customer service is the reason no message was sent. I will not be ordering from this franchise again and I would advise against anyone attempting to do so in the future. read more

Just ordered again stupidly- I've given this place a ton of slack... the past two times I ordered delivery, never doing that again, it took 1.5 hrs and the order was incorrect the first time and raw the second time. What in the world is going on with quality control??? This is the first time I've tried their pizza and it was delicious! The price was good, and delivery was quick.

Customer service was very sloppy, Understand I got off work so I was prepared to wait for my order. Well when I received the wrong order after a 30min wait, there was no apology, no empathy actually there was nothing, I didn't even know if I could ask fo a refund (scary) because it surly wasn't offered. Pizza is deffinetly my favorite food! With that being said, it always makes trying a new pizza place either super exciting or disappointing. I first heard about this place from my boyfriend, who told me about how you can customize your pizza with different varieties of toppings like tater tots and mac & cheese. Craving some bbq pizza (he got me hooked on the bbq pizza from Jets) we decided to try that along with roasted garlic cheese bread. I got the pizza well done as that is my preference. The pizza was amazing!! It had a great mix of flavors and toppings, and they made my pizza perfectly well done! I give them 4 instead of 5 stars because as the cheese bread was good, the roasted garlic was a strange touch. It sounded good at the time, but once we got the bread it was just an extra topping and didn't add anything to the bread. Overall this is a pizza place I would recommend, and next time I plan to try a pizza with some unique toppings. read more

Just something missing in this pizza, it's missing that extra kick. They have just enough variety of toppings to be delicious but I feel they're missing some to give me the most satisfying pizza possible. To be honest, these pizzas just sort of taste like cheese, and nothing else, and thier cheese isnt all that flavorable either. I've tried to like it on multiple occasions, but I always end up getting sick and I have no idea why. I'm adding this to my list of "I guess I'll get a pizza because why not" places alongside domino's and pizza hut in the area, but base my decision on which special is better. The only decent special is two for tuesday and that's only if I feel like artichoke that day because generally thier specials are still pretty pricey and higher than the other options. read more

So I don't blame the employees but this is a management issue,expectations for staff and training is so important. The place seems very understaffed, I arrived to pick up my order during the time frame that they said it would be ready and had to wait 10-12 minutes for my order. The most concerning thing though is it looked like the place had not been cleaned the floors were dirty, none of the staff preparing my food had masks or gloves on I didn't see any hand washing or hand sanitizer used after they assisted assisted a customer. they did a little better than last time but that is not saying much. My pizaa which is a basic large pep, is not a hard order to get wrong but sure enough, they managed fuck up. To my surprise i noticed the pizza tasted a little sweet, so i look at the bottom a realize it is covered in cinnamon... Tried to order pizza from here tonight (Sunday night). Put on hold for 6:30. I thought Maybe they forgot so called back again and was put back on hold again for a few more minutes. I patiently waited but when they finally came to the phone they acted as though they didn't want to take an order and said they were at least 1 hour 30 minutes "backed up" (as though she was annoyed I even called). Overall disappointed with my experience. The delivery person was very kind so that's why I'm giving two stars rather than one. The order was warm, but the quality was poor. The macaroni and cheese pizza was liquidy and hard to manage. The nacho topper sticks were kind of gross. The overall flavor lacked anything but cheap ingredient taste. Voyage pack home with the tasty 'za, or at least most of it.... sample piece on the way back is recommended. In all seriousness though, I've had Toppers pizza a couple times a month since they've opened and it's always been a great experience.
