we decided for pizza after a ice skating night down the street. We made it 30 minutes before closing. They took our order and we took a seat. a few of us began with our salad at the salad bar. the pizzas came out and we began to dig in. 8 minutes before closing an employee came to our table and said we r closing in 8 minutes how many boxes do you guys need. some of us where just finishing with our salads and just about to start with the pizza. we felt rushed and did not enjoy the rest of our pizza as we had to box it up. because they were also taking our plates. In the dining area, there are many booths as well as a few long tables for groups throughout the premises. A front patio has multiple tables to enjoy a meal outdoors. There is a good-sized salad bar, a self-serve soda station, a small arcade/game room and the employees looked happy and seemed to work together as a team. Although they were and probably are very busy all the time. The staff was very, very friendly and helpful and got people through the line super fast. Once we sat, we had our pizzas and garlic bread within 5-10 minutes, so service was also very quick. Love the overall look and decor of Toppers, lots of brick, modern, tons of tables, booths and group seating options. solid pizza! we ordered delivery and got our pizzas delivered within the hour. it was easy to navigate the website and place an order. we got two medium pizzas and a hefty bill of $70 (including tip, delivery fee, etc) the medium pizzas were $25 each which is still a little steep, especially because i'm used to dominos $7 pizzas. i will say, we really did enjoy our pizzas! they have a great selection of unique "top hit" pizzas. we ordered the carnitas chipotle and hawaiian heat. both were tasty, but i liked the hawaiian heat more. the pineapple and jalapeño combination is my guilty pleasure. my cousin actually preferred the carnitas chipotle one-- both were yummy. they weren't stingy with their toppings and the cheese pull was actually insane. when im visiting my cousin in simi again, i would love to try more of their speciality pizzas! read more

I went small from the serve your self salad bar, each came with one trip. I ordered a small meat lovers pizza. It was clean, the people were very friendly, the food was tasty, and there was no waiting time to order. I had the Lunch combo (personal pizza and salad) and I loved it for the price. This is the best pizza in the county! Got three large pizzas a catering salad with ranch dressing all are outstanding. This is a five star rating on the food 100%. I've mentioned this before, but I must be the only one that is not satisfied with the beer selection. Out of all the craft beers in Ventura County we are stuck with one brewery. I understand there may be some sort of connection between the two, but that is unsubstantiated. Some other local breweries in there and I will be 100% happy camper. But the food is phenomenal. They all want to come back, and tell us that they get "Toppers cravings" when pizza comes to mind. One buddy used to live in Sherman Oaks / Encino, and would drive out to see us in Thousand Oaks just to go to Toppers at least a couple times a year. She's since moved to Vegas, but when she comes back to SoCal, we will make another Toppers run with her. Recently, our Adored Grandson's girlfriend became a Toppers fanatic, too. Despite being particular about her food, she asked to go for pizza earlier this week, and only to Toppers. She's from the Valley, and they don't have Toppers there. The four of us went for a mini feast and a great taste-time was had by all! I could waffle on stars, mainly because the pizza quality is outstanding and worth the full five. Prices have risen, though. I had a bit of sticker shock when we paid for two medium pizzas, a small order of breadsticks, a small salad bar order, several fountain drinks, and a pizza cookie to share. You pay for quality, and there you have it. They don't carry any vegan cheese at this point, so I opted for very light cheese on my half, while Dear Hubby got the full treatment. The rest of the ingredients, including the garlicky sauce, still satisfied my Toppers cravings. It's a Definite Recommend to try Toppers Pizza when in Ventura County. Upon arrival, I ordered a large pizza and three salads. I also ordered 3 drinks and asked for a water cup (for water). I was told there were no water cups at all. So I bought a water as well. While loading up a salad , I went to get croutons but was attacked and told I cannot put croutons on the plate. I was attacked by 2 lady employees standing around acting as though they are re-filling the salad when they were just policing the salad bar. Then the man working handing out the pizzas yelled "follow the policy or get a refund and go eat somewhere else !!!".......Now this is just poor customer service. I come from the San Fernando Valley all the way to Simi Toppers......but not anymore. I was also planning to purchase a gift card of $50 to my friends that reside in Simi Valley, but now I will purchase that at another different restaurant. I will no longer return to this place in the future and will also deter others from visiting the establishment as well. A horrible experience. #Neveragain.
