This location is the epitome of why some people cannot have nice things. The pizza was decent but not great. However, this is one of the few pizza locations that had a lunch buffet and a well priced one at that. Unfortunately, people abused and exploited it. I came a few times at lunch and was horrified that customers left STACKS of pizza slices on their plates. The toppings were eaten but the dough was left!! The location was clean and the location was relatively new. Alas, because of the abuse of the lunch buffet, this place is no more. I hope one of the customers that only ate toppings and left the dough read this and have some feeling of guilt. I feel bad for the staff as they had to grin and bear it, let alone dispose of the plates of stripped slices of pizza. The staff was incredibly friendly. read more

OMG! After going to RTP in Thousand Oaks for years, I came to this location yesterday for the first time to try their version of the lunch buffet. This location is a hundred times better than the TO one ever was! Firstly, this location has fresh salad. Second, the window in which you can order the buffet is bigger here in Simi. And finally, this location actually has the pizzas out and ready to go instead of making you wait while they make it. This place actually knows how to run a buffet! If I could give 10 stars, I would. Excellent lunch buffet! What a deal for $14 weekdays including pizza, garlic knots, salad bar and a drink. Several varieties of pizzas including pepperoni, veggie and chicken gourmet. Salad bar had plenty of options, toppings and dressings. The 2 young men working were very friendly and kept refilling the salad and pizza options. This was one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I've had in a long time. The restaurant -- including the restroom -- was filthy. Tables were covered with dirty plates, leftover food, and trash that clearly hadn't been cleared in quite a while. There were so many dirty tables that I couldn't even find a clean place to sit while waiting for my order. As I sat there longer, it only got worse. Flies were buzzing around and landing on the tables, which was disgusting. It was obvious this location is either severely understaffed or extremely mismanaged. Because of the conditions, I ultimately canceled my order and decided I wasn't comfortable eating food prepared in that environment. When I calmly explained my concerns, the clerk looked at me as if I were from another planet, rather than acknowledging the very real issues happening right in front of them. When I asked for a side of marinara sauce before canceling, I was told they were essentially out and could only provide one. What pizza restaurant runs out of marinara? That alone speaks volumes about how poorly this place is run. I previously wrote a complaint letter and never received any response, which only reinforces the lack of accountability here. It's unfortunate, because the pizza itself is usually pretty good, but this location is dirty, neglected, and poorly managed. I won't be returning. read more

As many other reviewers have mentioned, the staff at this location is very welcoming and friendly. They also keep the restaurant clean and tidy. The space is mostly comprised of square 4-top tables with chairs and two very large circular booths that can accommodate larger parties. It also features a small salad bar and a selection of draft beer. I've been a fan of Round Table for many years having spent most of my life on the West coast. I ordered a large Italian Garlic Supreme and a small (16 oz.) beer. I substituted the creamy garlic sauce for zesty red instead. This is my favorite combo, give it a try! The beer was fresh and cold. If I hadn't driven all the way to this Simi Valley location from Thousand Oaks (17 miles) because of the awful reviews for the Round Table on E Avenida De Los Arboles, I might have enjoyed more than one! The only disappointment was the crust. If you enjoy an artisan fermented dough made from scratch like Round Table used to bake years ago, I'm sorry to say that those days are gone. The crust lacks any life to it, it is simply a conveyor for the delicious toppings. As an avid home pizza maker, I can tell you that it reeked of a large pizza chain dough formulation. Full of dough conditioners and other additives solely designed to make preparation faster and easier, not your enjoyment. 1 star deducted for the terrible crust. I just wanna start off by saying this review is mainly about the quality of their food. I have ordered at the Simi Valley location about four times and every time I noticed it was quite different than the last. I am a huge fan of their garlic parmesan twist but unfortunately having them at this restaurant has made me not too fond of them anymore. Every time I got them, there is either little to no sauce or no garlic, or severely undercooked and I'm pretty sure it was still dough. Also, the size difference is something to consider as well. I also have noticed with the dough it doesn't rise as much as other Round Table Pizza does. The workers have always been fairly nice and inside. This restaurant is really beautiful probably the most aesthetically pleasing round table I've been in. I just hate to see such a good food item be so inconsistent. Update: round table contacted me and corrected the error. I think them for going out of their way to right a wrong! Their demonstration of Customer service has a lot to be said. When somebody is willing to reach out to to find out how to fix a customers concern that shows they are willing to go the extra mile in everything they do. I really like this Round Table, it has an indoor area to eat, was very clean and everything looked great. The staff were super friendly, Annalia took our order and was also helping in the kitchen the Sunday we visited. Anna was super friendly and on top of everything, great job!! Ordered some wings and pizza. The wings were done perfect, they were crispy and had a nice amount of sauce, one of the best wings I've had at a round table in a long time, great job! As far as pizza's go I've never been a huge fan of Round Tables. I recall their older venue's offering a lot of tables and space for large parties which is great for teams to grab a bite after a game. That said, this new place is a bit smaller so it doesn't have as much room. That said, A+ for cleanliness. Also, another A+ for service. I found everyone who worked there to be nice and cordial. The other nice thing about this place is they have a salad bar and have pitchers of beer. So basically it has what that "other" pizza place has that starts with a "T". That said, while the place is clean and the service was great the pizza didn't have quite the flavor of the unnamed place that begins with a T. Maybe my taste buds were off,but I just didn't get that extra crunch of the crust nor did I get that hit of spices...keep in mind it's very close so would I come back for the convenience and ease of not having to deal with lack of parking, crowded ordering lines, limited seating due to large parties....maybe. In fact, maybe if you're on the fence then perhaps give Round table a try. They do have plenty of parking, easy ordering, open seating and most importantly they have pitchers of beer. However, even though I live within a few miles, their website doesn't recognize us as within their delivery distance. So I call instead to order. And they have accommodated me, giving me a lot of the same discounts they offer online. Yay! Still, I'm continually disappointed that they use DoorDash instead of regular delivery drivers. Again, my very ordinary address doesn't register with the correct "pin" with DoorDash and even though I attempt to get the driver to my house, it takes forever and their excellent pizza arrives cold. Received a lunch coupon in the mail for the new Round Table, so we decided to try it. The remodel from a Togo's is very nice and clean. We went to order the lunch special with a coupon and were told it's only valid Monday-Friday (the coupon does not have that stated). So we ordered a medium King Arthur pizza and drinks. My son asked if they had Dr. Pepper and was told, "No, only Pepsi products." After paying, he told us the wait would be 12-15 minutes. We walked around the corner to fill our cups and they have Dr. Pepper!!! After waiting 20 minutes, I was about to get up to check, and our pizza arrived. Everything looked great, but then we realized he didn't ask what kind of crust we wanted and we were given the thin crust. Vegetables on the pizza were fresh and the meats tasted good, but I wasn't fond of the crust. There are no garbage cans in the sitting area, which I found very odd. Disappointed in the service and lack of knowledge that the employee had of their products. Not one person checked on us and we were basically the only people inside the majority of the time we were there. Upset about not being able to use the coupon (will post a photo of it) that doesn't state Monday-Friday only, on a Sunday. I was so excited to see a Round Table opening only 5 minutes away from me. So much so that I came about three times before it was officially opened with my two kids hoping that they would finally be open.
