I am disappointed to write this review. I've been going to this Ameci's for many years. Last night, I ordered a philly cheesesteak sandwich with EXTRA cheese. I know they heard it, because they repeated the order back to me. Later that night, excited for the sandwich - I opened up the package - NO cheese. OK, I get it - people make mistakes. I called today, not expecting much - but some understanding. The call quickly turned into an ARGUMENT, and them saying that cook isn't a liar, telling me to drive to the store and "show" them the sandwich. So after spending $18 including tip, having a disappointing dinner, having an argument on the phone ... and then being told I need to drive there - I am over it. The last thing I want to do is drive a few miles to argue with the manager on duty. He doubted me ... so - that said - here's the pics for everyone to see. If you look at my profile - 99% of the reviews I write are 4-5 star. For me to write this proves how frustrated this call just made me! I'm sure I'll think twice about ordering from the Tapo Street store from here on out. I love Ameci's ... I guess I need to switch my favorite store to Madera! read more

Amecis never disappoints. Anytime I order pizza I order it here. The staff is friendly, and the food is always good.

Do not go to this Ameci's. We ordered a Giant pizza, a Large vegetable pizza- the mushrooms and spaghetti I bit into the vegetable pizza only to be met with a sharp jab in my mouth, took the piece I was trying to eat back out and mixed up inside was a metal staple. Nobody was interested in eating anymore, we called to let them know and asked for a manager, got the supposed manager and explained what happened and then was told "oh you need the manager". I retold the whole issue again to the real manager and they said that they didn't use staples in store and yet the bag the spaghetti came in was stapled shut. I was told all they could do is refund 1 pizza. Manager was extremely rude and unhelpful even though all we wanted was for them to refund both pizzas that we purchased. Being poked in the mouth with a staple hurt but im more worried what would have happened had I swallowed the staple not feeling it. We've ordered from them many times and never had an issue, we've been frequent and loyal customers but after this I will not go back, accidents happen i get it, but they're not interested in your safety at all. If you like eating metal in your pizza then this is the Ameci's for you, if not then go somewhere else. My family has ordered from this location for at least 30 years. I absolutely love their pizza when it gets there, cold in the AM, and reheated the next day. Good, kinda greasy, NYC pizza with plenty of toppings and tons of flavor. What's making me write this review finally is a kid named Adam. We bonded over a silly tattoo, and he's just as personable as it gets. I know if he's working I'm going to be well taken care of, get great customer service, and that's as much of the experience as the food. read more

Ordered the meat ravioli. Marinara sauce was more like tomato soup out of the can. Tiny salad was mostly lettuce with a couple of olives and tomato slices. If you don't mind eating Italian food to fill up, you can try this but if you like Italian food, this doesn't count. read more

Nice employees, great delivery people, the food always arrives before they said it would and it's hot! Not many other pizza places can do that. Ameci pizza is consistent, good flavor, good cheese and good crust. There are lots of overpriced and inconsistent quality pizza places in Simi. We ordered the meal deal which included a large pizza, spaghetti, and an antipasto salad, and it just wasn't very good. The salad had odd vegetables in it, like celery and cauliflower, which was bizarre to see in an antipasto salad. The spaghetti was just okay, nothing crazy. The pizza was pretty decent though. However the main issue was when they overcharged me and then tried to play dumb. I asked to add tomato and basil to the pizza, and they charged me for an additional 3 toppings instead of 2, and they said they added garlic also, which I didn't ask for and yet they charged me for it anyways. In addition to that, there was also another $2.50 somehow added to the bill but didn't show up in the itemization for the receipt. My total was supposed to $34 with tax and somehow I got charged $40.16. I asked where the additional money came from and he was just as confused and said that's just how the system calculates it. He eventually game me a refund of the difference in cash after some pushback, when he also did the math and realized that it didn't add up. Make sure to check your receipts!!! As they are overcharging but not adding it to the receipt, seems like a total scam to me. Will not be back. read more

The experience I had with this Ameci was completely unprofessional .The guy that's answers the phone was rude and very disrespectful. Great pizza, okay lasagna, decent salads, tasty toasty garlic bread, and pretty good wings too. Ordering is easy and orders are ready when they say they will be ready for pickup, that is great too. I've heard good things about Ameci's, but unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to the hype. The pizza was decent, but the crust was a bit too soggy and lacked flavor. The toppings were okay, though I felt like the portion sizes didn't justify the price. The service could have been better too -- the staff seemed a bit disorganized and it took longer than expected to get our order. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but I was hoping for much more given the reputation. Do better guys and stop making mistakes on people's pizzas. Stop making people return to the store for your mistakes and then offer nothing in return living 20 minutes away. read more

We ordered on Grubhub. There was not an option to add toppings to a create your own pizza. We just wanted a pepperoni pizza. We thought we were crazy and went to other pizza choices, like the mini, you could add toppings. Not on the build your own, so we made a note. Also ordered the Alfredo and pasta, super disappointing. It was flavorless and the noodles were overcooked. Actually one of the worst I've had from a restaurant. Stick with the pizza. Pizza was good. However, they left a handwritten note on the top of the bag that said, "pepperoni is one of the first choices on the menu." On Monday 8/5 I went into restaurant and met Adam who is an exceptional employee in my opinion. He was concerned that I didn't have any money, offered me a drink and I was so impressed with his kindness, which is not common in the world anymore, but he was able to assist me where to many other employees lack courtesy and friendliness. I hope Adam gets a raise or promotion. He deserves it. I went back the next day to get something I saw and was craving, but recommend the restaurant specify they indicate on the menu the antipasta salad is not what it's supposed to be, made with pasta, salami, cheese, etc. but theirs is salad with little else on top which I was surprised. They call it antipasto, not antipasta, so it's not the end of the world but when you're craving something and hungry you should get what you ask for not a surprisee. read more

I first want to start off by saying I have ordered pizza here a few times. Generally speaking with no issues aside from a topping missing or the pizza being cold upon delivery. Though yesterday, at 5pm, I ordered two jumbo pizzas and an anitpasta salad in which the salad was moldy. I picked up the order and put the salad right in the fridge once I got home so it remained refrigerated except for the 5 minute car ride home. When I went to eat it for lunch at 11am this morning, I found the lettuce to be very brown and the ham had white mold spots with a nasty looking green spot. It was clear the salad was not fresh but aged. I called Amecis just now and was told that will not provide a full refund but only $5. I'm pretty disappointed that this small business would not stand by their product and make things right. I've spent north of $200 there in the last 6 months and for them to treat customers that way is pretty bad. Needless to say I will not be ordering from there ever again!! My family and I often debate the best pizza place in Simi Valley- it's down to the wire between Ameci's and Toppers for us. However it's pretty simple to help determine where you should order from- if you like a traditional fresh ingredient, New York style pizza- AMECI's is your spot. It's SOOO fresh, consistent, and quick for delivery. We recently branched out and tried their pasta and salads- I wouldn't recommend either unfortunately. The salad ingredients were fresh, just not our favorite, also the homemade salad dressing wasn't flavorful full and pretty oily for our style. Although pasta wasn't bad, it was anything special. I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo (no meat) and Spaghetti (no meat) and had it delivered. The base cost for this was $27.00 for noodles and sauce and didn't even include garlic bread. Frankly, their food was average for the price (which is ridiculous for just pasta and sauce) and next time I'll boil my own noodles and buy a jar of supermarket sauce...it will taste the same. I was spending $120 a month every month but they couldn't get the pizza orders right. The wonderful female employee about the problem she got a bad attitude that escalated into an argument. We ordered today a Large Pizza with 3 toppings around 3:26pm. and a Salad. The delivery order came really fast. Receipt stated 3:28 for card processing. Well the order was 1/2 cheese and the other half had the three toppings. Plus the $9.99 salad size was only 7 inches in diameter. We called about the error but they offered $5 store credit. I think it is very strange to get a pizza made and delivered by 3:45 and make the 5 minute drive to our home. I am guessing they delivered the wrong pizza and do not wish to own up to it. Their pizza is worth it. I personally like the crumbled sausage topping, but the pepperoni and cheese are good too. Classic thin crust and good flavor. It is a little on the greasy side so if that's something you dont care for, maybe try another spot. I happen to enjoy a little grease so im fine with it. Definitely going back for the pizza only. Ordered the fettuccine alfredo and it looked pretty good. I really wanted to like it.... but it was just lacking flavor, salt more specifically. I added cajun seasoning when i got home and it was 100 times better, but the review is based on what the establishment put out and the pasta was just sub par. The wings aren't good either. They're drenched in buffalo sauce which is good, but the chicken itself didn't taste good. The chicken tasted freezer burned and some i almost felt were kind of under cooked. Yummmmmmmm! It's been a loooong time since I've been to New York. This is legit thin crust pizza! Came here for early dinner and the sun beats down in this lil pizzeria. Few tables in the shade. Sadly, no bathroom but use the bathroom at the bar next door. We had the Ameci Deluxe and added pineapple, dannnng goood! Not too saucy, not too sloppy. Free refills on sodas when you buy the cup version. Had to order the fried raviolis too. Awesome sauce and excellent prices for all. Will definitely be back soon!
