I've been excited to try Toppers ever since I saw it on a TikTok video a few months ago. In particular, I love this style of pizza and I really like a simple salad bar. We got the large extra pepperoni extra cheese pizza, a pitcher of IPA, a regular sized salad bar plate, and a soda for $77.33 including tip. This is a reflection on many deliveries from Topper's Pizza in Thousand Oaks, California. For over ten years, it's been a family tradition for my mom, pop, and I to order Topper's whenever I come to town. We always loved their pizza. I'm not sure why, but their mushrooms are especially tasty. Delivery has consistently been blazing fast for us. In the earlier years, pop would often go pick it up himself. The pizza is always well-prepared and neatly presented. At some point, they changed their breadsticks into another kind of bread; I admit I preferred the original version. Last year, one of the final meals I shared with my mom was a delivery from the Camarillo location, enjoyed with my sister and her partner. It was just as good as ever. There's also a salad bar if you're in the mood for something lighter. But tables are clean, and ambiance is casual. Topper's lunch special for the win! The lunch special from 11am-3pm is an awesome deal. You get a personal/mini pizza for about $7 or a mini pizza with a side salad for $11. This is a truly local joint. It's very popular, and has been at least the last 20 years I've been coming here for. You have to line up to order and pay, then you get a flashing tracker to let you know your food is ready to be picked up at the counter. I first started coming here after sports team practices, but the pizza is so good, I kept coming way after the season ended. It's a homely ambience, with communal tables, and friendly patrons. This is my first time eating AT a Toppers location I have only eaten it to go prior. We came after my kids softball tournament and boy was it a treat. They only have their one perfect crust option and I will eat the finale of these leftovers today on day 3, soooooo good. Being able to have half and half of 2 specialty pizza flavors to me is top notch because I want to try everything always this helped a lot lol. My daughter got the cheese, excellent red sauce and you could tell how good the mozzarella is as well. I eat a form of Jalapeños almost daily, and this appetizer is insane. I appreciate that they bake it and don't put a fried crust on it for the health reason and just being able to appreciate the pepper itself! Adding dried cranberries and raspberry chipotle sauce gives you the sweet to round out the heat and creaminess of the cheese. Excellent dish! The creamy garlic chicken was delicious, that felt like a comfort food pizza, good for Alfredo lovers, delicious. I of course love the hot honey for the same reasons, jalapeños, sweet and heat of the honey and the salami salt. The salad bar is a one trip for 8.50, but you can share it amongst your party.. and don't forget their incredible ranch, blue cheese and I'm not sure what the reddish colored one was but my goodness I wish I could buy those by the bucket. I had never been to a Toppers Pizza location but my coworkers brought me to try the lunch special. It is both a great price for good value. There is an option for both pizza and salad, or just pizza. I got a bbq sauce, bacon, and pepperoni pizza. The crisp of the pizza is amazing. It was not too heavy either. Ordering was easy st the register it was busy but the seating in the back down the hall had plenty of space. I will be coming by again to try more. read more

Is it the best pizza...no, however, it is always consistently good and you know what to expect plus they also have a great salad bar and draft beer selection. The ranch is the reason we keep coming back! You can get as much as you need for your pizza and salad. The salad bar is clean and well stocked, the pizza has a crispy crust with just enough cheese to make it delicious but not so much it's "too cheesy." Main dinner times are super busy but there is an outside patio which seats bigger groups. It's pricier than a Dominos but the pizza is so much better. Service is good even when busy. They offered to send the corrected order but by then it was 9 PM and it would have been 40 minutes or more for the correct order and we had nine people waiting. The manager refused to credit us for their mistake. Now who do you think is more likely to mess up an order, someone who orders the same thing every time, or a harried pizza order taker with multiple orders being taken in the background? I love Toppers for everything that it is. It's the perfect alternative to the big chain fast-food joints, like Domino's. It doesn't try to be fancy so much as it tries to be accessible (tho maybe a tad overpriced?). It still has that grandma-style crust and too much cheese you want when you're craving something greasy for dinner. And speaking of craving, Toppers' best quality is its consistency. It's very much like In-N-Out: it's not the best burger (or pizza), but you're guaranteed to get exactly what you expect when you go. It's a unique taste you're not going to get anywhere else, and there's no chance you're going to be disappointed if you know what you're getting.
