A couple weeks ago I happened to notice the door of Barber One in the Crossings, which is not far from where we live and we are at the Crossings all the time, but didn't know it was there! Looked it up and it gets great reviews so we decided to give it a try. Booked a same day appt on a Friday with Aiden. My son LOVES his hair cut and said Aiden was sociable and also really listened to what my son wanted. It was a great experience all around and we've now found our new barber shop!

I had plenty of hair for him to work with and he just blew it by drastically shortening the length. Which I love my hair long but with a clean look. If they're not familiar with a certain haircut/hair styles; they don't have to force themselves to work with it or at least I could try waiting for someone with more experience with hair styles. Zay wasn't there that day, but Jay took us in last minute, fixed everything up, and was super chill about it. He didn't even charge me, which honestly says so much about the type of people they are. We have not gone to another barber shop since. On the rare occasion I forget to book with Carlos in time (mom dropped the ball a few times ‍) we've had the other guys cut his hair and they are ALL amazing .. Lawrence, Mauricio, Joseph, Peter.. there's not a bad guy in the house. They are all amazing . My son has built a relationship with Carlos and that's his guy, but my husband goes to anyone available because he knows the quality and service is unmatched no matter whose chair he is in. They care enough to know us by name and get to know our family, have old school tunes playing and folks are singing along. It really is the best shop around.

My little guy can be a little fussy , but Brandon did an amazing job with his cut, getting him comfortable and making sure he looks good. I feel like both my boys are in a weird phase with their hair. It just never felt quite right to me, and it was really hard going anywhere and feeling slightly unsatisfied each time. The cuts were average at best, but the biggest issue was the lack of air conditioning. On all three visits, the A/C wasn't working. I could understand it being broken once, or even twice, but after multiple visits over an extended period, it became clear that management wasn't making it a priority to fix. Sitting through a haircut in an uncomfortably hot shop is not acceptable, especially at these prices. Another concern was the drinks being sold in the shop. Because of the heat, I went to grab a drink from the refrigerator and noticed they only had CBD-infused water. During my visit, I observed a barber assure a parent that it was fine for their child to have one. That was concerning enough that I contacted the Better Business Bureau to ask about it and was advised to make a formal report of the situation. I genuinely hope the owner takes this feedback seriously. Fix the A/C, improve the overall experience, and make sure products being sold are handled responsibly. This place has a good location and has potential but based on my experiences, I just can't recommend this shop to anyone, especially not someone with kids.
