Always loved Torchys, the food is good. But recently their corn tortillas are VERY dry and taste like they were heated in a microwave. They get the most basic thing of a taco wrong. I also had the "Street Corn", not worth the $4.50, all it was was roasted corn with cheese and lime with some drizzled torchys sauce. He not only apologized, but gave me the correct items upon my return and offered to mail a gift card if I wasn't able to come get the items. Damn bad tacos. Between the two of us my husband and I tried four different tacos. Couldn't really tell what we were eating. Ingredients were over cooked to point of being unrecognizable. Omg y'all best Torchy's ever!! We ordered five different tacos plus chips and queso. I'm a picky eater so I had to edit each of my tacos and the kitchen got every single edit correct which is rare no matter where I eat. The manager Drew was running the register when we came in. He gave us lots of suggestions and was super adorable with my kids. He even delivered the food to our table himself and then checked on us twice. Being out of towners from a small town who came to DFW for Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor, the hospitality he showed us was absolutely excellent!!! This was our second visit to Torchy's (first time was in Austin) we will keep coming back when we're in the metro-mess. Five stars for food and service! I love eating at Torchy's, however tonight I placed an online order of the chicken fajita taco and queso with chips. My taco was only the chicken and cheese were was my onions and pepper definitely didn't taste the same. My queso was runny and watery all you could taste in it was the hot sauce. Terrible food tonight and to top it off my food was not ready I had to wait an extra 7 minutes before my food was ready. The Arlington location was not busy no reason for this. Stopped by a few days ago while visiting friends. I had eaten at another Torchy's in Waco and it was DELICIOUS! I had raved about it to my husband, so we chose to eat at this location. Nowhere near as good as the other. One of the tacos had very dry meat and it was somewhat bland. Other taco was just okay. Also service was very slow and restaurant was not very busy. I have placed a pick up order at this Torchy's several times and they always give me the wrong thing or leave something out! My boyfriend and I literally just ordered three Fried Avocado tacos, and they left off the beans on all of them! What do the expect me to do? I don't want to drive all the way back there for beans... I came here a month after this location first opened and waited forever for my to-go order like many of the reviews mention. That being said, after a return visit my opinion is now much higher. I think you have to give a new place a grace period to get the kinks worked out. The food is great. I forgot to say no to the chipotle mayo on The Tipsy Chick, but ended up really liking it. My favorite is definitely the Republican- the jalapeño sausage is really tasty! I like that they have their own sodas. They've gotten a bit faster and more organized here too. The price can sneak up on you though, that's the biggest downside and the reason for only 4 stars. read more

Awesome place to eat. All the staff are energetic and up beat. Definitely get a drink from the bar when Reese is bar tending. The assistant manager Drew is always making sure your ok and if something isn't right it will be moments later. I was super excited to find this place had opened down the street from our home, however each time I have been the food has been mediocre at best. They always seem to have mistakes with orders, I typically order the fried avocado, brushfire and independent tacos, I always ask for no refried beans and have got them almost every time. The same happens if I ask for no corn. Their queso is delicious though! I also tried a few of their special monthly (I believe) tacos that were creative. I also tried the deep fried cookie dough a few times, I feel like they need some kind of chocolate or berry drizzle to them, they always taste super oily and like straight fryer oil. I will likely try this location once more to see if it's gotten any better now they've been there a while. read more

Every time I have ordered from the bar the bartender is so rude!!! he is very short w/ me as if I irritated him... Even refusing to deliver my drink to my table when i dine in (despite my table being right next to the bar) my most recent visit was the last straw i asked him about ingredients to a drink & he gave me a defensive response as if it was a personal question. I have been here many times- each time it gets worse. Employees are all in terrible moods and rude- customer service is severely lacking. I was standing in line and asked one of the workers if there were any menus- the guy said no and walked away. Walked up to the register and there were at least 50 sitting up there. The last time I went they had one guy working the register and to go register. There seemed to be issues with the To go orders- we had to stand at an empty register with no one there for 15 mins. By the time we got to order the line was almost out the door. We went to sit outside, never received our queso and chips, missing one of our orders- waitress seemed to not care and obviously didn't do anything about it since o had to get up and ask to speak to a manager after finishing our food and still didn't have our queso or missing item. Manager was nice and compensated our meal- but seemed WAY overwhelmed and maybe needs some further training. I love torchies but man, something is seriously lacking up on the ladder of management/ownership that allows this to continue in their restaurants. read more

We tried this place tonight because of all the good things we heard. Unfortunately, it was a huge fail. Does it normally take 25 minutes to get an order of 2 tacos and a burrito? (on a not so busy Monday). Mine came out cold and dry. The tortilla was actually flaking apart like it had been heated up more than once. The filling wasn't very tasty, either. The chicken taco was better, but the chicken was chewy and dry. The burrito was better, but had to ask for sour cream. I'm on my 3rd visit here and have good and bad thoughts. The food is wonderful and the fresh tea is delicious. The staff is friendly and accommodating however I'm convinced this place isn't run - It just happens. Tacos as fast food should be quick and easy. On my first visit which was on opening day I was forgiving of the painfully long wait for my food. My second visit was a month later and like a house of horrors. I waited almost an hour for 3 tacos when a floor manager stopped by and asked if I was doing alright. I expressed that I'd waited almost an hour and he offered me a drink which was a nice gesture but I thanked him and said I really just wanted my carry out order. He wandered over to the bar and I was forgotten. Finally in desperation I gave up and went back to the register to ask for a refund so I could go elsewhere to get food. As I waited another 20 minutes for all this to happen I met 2 other groups waiting to get their money back as well because they also could not get their orders. Between 3 cashiers no one could figure out how to refund my $18.00+ Debit card purchase. When I asked for the manager the woman yelled at me she was the manager and said they'd only been open a month and I should be more forgiving. I felt her comment was unwarranted and I replied that after a month they should know how to shove 3 tacos through the window in less than an hour. They managed to refund $15.00 of my $18.00 charge and as time and confusion moved on and my temperature rose I finally suggested that they open the cash drawer and simply peel off the money they owed me back. I really have never seen such incompetence and lack of people skills or organization. I have had a week to cool down and decided to return tonight with a friend. The third time wasn't the charm however the food and drinks were great. Just don't go here expecting a quick meal. It's going to take a good 45 minutes or longer to get anything out of here with a tortilla wrapped around it. If you have the patience of Job you'll enjoy your visit. read more

Always love going to any Torchy's location. This one was very unique with their huge light up sign that separates the cashier side from the tables. There's a long bar in this one with really cool decor all around. There's a nice seating area outside that is gated. Great service and great food!! I love trying a different taco each time I visit.
