A real authentic Mexican restaurant, with great potential to stay, beautifully decorated ambiance. You order and pay first at their front counter and sit, they deliver everything to your table. I been here multiple times, they have multiple tasty specials daily. Their pozole and menudo are very flavorful, but I personally like more meat and less hominy, but I literally drank all the broth, it was delicious. Their beef caldo (beef broth soup) is great also, but only served on Tuesdays. Overall, highly recommend. read more

Such a warm and inviting place, very friendly family that runs this place,.They are definitely a family that works very hard for their customers. Was super cool to hear fun laughter and joy coming from the kitchen. Definitely made me smile and probably will make you too. So I already ate right before but decided I still had a little bit of room for a quick round of tacos Really wanted to try the Pozole, when I seen it on my menu I was definitely excited! Learned it was only available on Saturdays, which is cool because I have an excuse to come back asap and try it. The tacos I got were the Fajita, Pastor, Barbacoa and the Chicharron. My favorite being the Pastor and my least being the Fajita. The Pastor had a very good savory flavor as well did the Barbacoa. Next time I go back with double the order of two of each with these along with a big bowl of Saturday Pozole So when you come here you pretty much are getting a home cooked meal, and for a very reasonable price. My tab came to $12 with tacos and horchata. Very much recommend Sylvia's from the atmosphere, food and especially the people. read more

Quaint and clean little gem hidden in a strip center on Matlock. Parking wasn't an issue. Wait staff is super friendly. The restaurant was spotless. Clean and the furnishings, while not fancy, are newer and not beat up. Restrooms were exceptionally clean, brand new looking. Ambiance is casual. Menu is simple. Daily specials on the board. Came here from out of town. Food was so good we forgot to take pictures. Ordered Al Pastor Torta, Chicharon Gordita, Carne Asada Taco and Green Chile Enchiladas and it was one of the best Mexican food we've had in a long time. Finished off with Elote to go and Jamaica. This is such a warm and welcoming little family restaurant. The food is really good, it is real Mexican food (not Tex-Mex) at very affordable prices. The star of the evening was the Chilaquiles, crispy but moist at the same time...Just the way they are meant to be. I almost don't want to post this review. I know when I do, this hidden gem is going to be exposed for its greatness. I have had several items on the menu and they were all amazing. The staff is so sweet and the restaurant is cozy. This now my Taco Tuesday spot cause it is authentic, delicious and you definitely get your money's worth. I eat in and then get an order to go because I know I will crave some for a snack. These are the only tacos that taste as good rewarmed as they do fresh so that alone says a lot. Fresh, homemade and I am addicted to her green sauce. I didn't want to share my secret spot but she deserves all the hype and the business. Sylvia's is always 5 star delicious. read more

Good tacos!! The location is clean, spacious, and good for groups. I came with 7 and we all comfortable fit at a table. I would give them 4 stars as my friends enjoyed their al pastor, babacoa, etc tacos but my chicken tacos were a bit dry/not as well seasoned. The mangonada here was a bit disappointing and lukewarm so I wouldn't recommend jt. I would come back here though as it was affordable and pretty tasty! read more

I'm so glad I found this place close to home! First impression was everyone was so welcoming! We ordered pastor and barbados tacos, super quesadilla, and a large horchata. The food tasted awesome! Great flavors and great sauces too! The drink was amazing I had to order a second horchata! The lady (who seems to be the cook and perhaps an owner) gave it to me free of charge! I am grateful! We didn't know if they accepted tips but with the great welcome, awesome food, great atmosphere, and the generous drink--we couldn't leave without giving something. I throughly enjoyed the "pray more worry less" decal and the scripture on the wall. As we were leaving she told us God bless you. I have to say I am blessed to have stumbled upon this place. Great Authentic Mexican dishes. The food is amazing it's things you don't find very many places, and taste like they came from Mexico City. The huaraches with barbacoa is what I had and it was to die for. The mole there is beyond good. They always have a ton of other options like fruit with creama, different types of chips, nachos, agua frescas, and ice creams plus more! Silvia's is one of those places you'd probably never notice if you were just driving by. It's not a place you can go with a large crowd (maybe 6-8 if you combine some tables). It IS the kind of place you go with a friend or two or alone. If you are wearing pajamas, nobody would care. It's that casual. However, the food is fantastic. They aren't focused on presentation either. It's cooked, it's hot, fresh, delicious, and crazy cheap. I can eat here cheaper than I can fill up at mcdonalds. I always drive by and wanted to try this place. I love taco and the only place I go in Lewisville, so today I stopped by and did. WOW! I should have stopped in sooner the fajita tacos are delicious so moist and tender. My Husband got some nachos and another type of taco with potato and brisket. Th sauces they had the chili sauce And a green creme sauce was ah-mazing. I'm sorry I don't know they names of the sauces but I definitely will ask next time I go back. read more

The food was delicious. We ordered 2 orders of tacos al pastor and fajita. Also, a al pastor torta. The best torta ever. The horchata was amazing as well. The Elotes isn't layered so after like 6 spoonfuls you're just eating corn. They don't put anything spicy in the corn which kind of sucks. The Barbacoa isn't bad but it's also not a wow. She had recently posted a this establishment in one of her videos raving about the whole grilled chicken , and broke down the steps for how she eats/enjoys it . It was so on point!! Nicely seasoned, juicy in all the right places and don't even get me started on the rice .. I'm not big on rice especially because of having braces , however this rice was soooo delicious, so I did my best with eating it and ignoring the discomfort that comes behind it . Personally , I wasn't a fan of the beans but my puppies were fans so for that the beans aren't really apart of this post. Service was mediocre, I felt slightly rushed and unwanted . As a first time customer, I asked questions and was looked at like k should have already known the answers. Overall the food is great I'll definitely be returning . It's small spot so my claustrophobia may restrict me from dinning in but I do plan to return!!

The brisket and pork ribs were decent, but honestly pretty dry and lacking in flavor when compared to some other BBQ places in DFW. For the price, it's pretty similar to other BBQ in the area. The Texas Twinkie is a jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and brisket and wrapped in bacon. It was my favorite item as the cream cheese and bacon balanced out the spiciness of the jalapeño. The mac n cheese was also delicious with the perfect amount of spice. The service was great too as they made a mistake on my order and quickly corrected it. I like that this place is open daily and for dinner too. Overall, I would recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for some BBQ, but if you're a huge fan of BBQ then I recommend going to the other top BBQ places.

It contained boiled shrimp, oysters on the half shell and crab fingers. Their sweet potato pecan pie is the best. It's sweet pecan pie topping layered over sweet potato custard. It was served with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and berries. It was to die for. The service was good. Our waitress was sweet. She had dropped one of my roasted oysters and threw it out. It took 10 extra minutes, but she brought out three more. The food did take a while to arrive, but we weren't in a rush. The restaurant decor is nice, but the inside is very dim.

So I went inm the place is small but CLEAN. SPOTLESS! You can order any dish with Chicharrón, Pastor, chicken, barbacoa, etc. I ordered the street tacos el Pastor, barbacoa and chChicharrón. They were soooo good. Some places only give you 1 corn tortilla for your street taco, you get 2 for each taco here. Hey sometimes you have spillage!! ( NOT A BAD THING ) with great street tacos. I got them to go and man I killed the Chicharrón ones. That great porky flavor with cilantro and onions and lime. Hit this place up!!
