Came here with some friends to use free taco vouchers I got from my employer. The avocado tacos were amazing but I don't recommend Mr. Orange (the salmon taco.) Service took a little while as I decided to order at the bar while my friend got her margarita, and the bartender was talking to a couple of girls to the left of us for a long time. Probably good customer service for them but not for us. We sat outside and it was surprisingly clean; I was also very happy with the amount of space they had out there for bigger parties. I will be back in Colorado in a week and a half and my first stop just might be Torchys. My son moved to Colorado last fall and we went to visit him for Thanksgiving. My sons and I hiked Horsetooth Mountain in the morning and afterwards we decided to stop for some food. My oldest (CO resident) says "How about Torchys?" My other son about lost his mind - "You have Torchys here? F' Yeah!" Apparently while visiting friends in Texas he had had it. It's kinda a big deal. It did not disappoint. I can't even remember what I got but it was good. I wanted to try everything. The place was packed but the wait wasn't really long. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. The only thing that was kinda weird was that you had to get your to go adult beverages from the bar and that took a while. Regardless, I am Looking forward to going back. Yum! read more

Best white people tacos in the business... I love their guac and their queso, as it is some of the best in town, and make sure to get acquainted with their "secret menu"! My favorite from their secret menu is the Trailer Park Hillbilly Style! It has fried chicken, chorizo, bacon, green chiles, queso and so much more... It is TASTEY!!! They used to carry these smaller brand soft drinks, which had some cool flavors, but sadly they switched to coke and Pepsi products... The atmosphere is a modern hipster style, which is fun and vibrant, and most of the locations look fairly similar. Also, no complaints about the service, they are often slammed, so it takes a bit, but they are good at bringing your food out as soon as it is ready. read more

Queso...good! Tacos...large. Full bar and good beer. Take out is an option, although online ordering is not the best. Service is acceptable. We have been to Torchy's Tacos on several occasions and we typically enjoy coming here for a bite. The parking here is plentiful, since it is in a mall parking lot area. There is a small patio on the side which allows for outdoor eating and you can bring your pup with you. On a weekend night or at lunch time, there will often be a line to the door and the wait can get lengthy if you're in a rush. There are many options when it comes to the food. We enjoy getting the queso when we come and it is quite good! They provide fresh chips with the queso and it has a nice "bite" that the other queso options in town don't have. The tacos are fairly large compared to the competition and they are pretty good. I often go for the "Trailer Park" and the "Chicken Fajita" tacos and those two tacos are enough to fill me up. There are several drink options, to include soft drinks, some good beer options, and a full bar. The service is not the most impressive, but it's not bad either. There is one particular issue I think I should mention. The online ordering and take-out is not the best option. We ordered online and then went inside to collect our food. When we arrived, they didn't have any record of our order. They told us that the online ordering has been having some problems. Once we showed them what we ordered, they said they put a rush on it, but then we waited another ten minutes for our food. We had to ask a cashier to go in the back to ask about our food before they got going on it. This is an isolated incident, and we typically come inside to order and sit down. We will continue to come here for our tacos and queso as it is one of the better options in town. read more

Good stuff! I got the baja shrimp taco which was literally amazing, definitly worth the money for that one. It came with chipotle ranch on the side and a lime. Then i got the crossroads taco which was smoked beef briscut, nice dark mesquite flavor, pretty filling as well!! We started with the chips and queso which were flame, they gave us enough chips to finish the queso and it tasted bomb. Also pictured, the wrangler and the trailer park tacos (made trashy -no lettuce and queso instead). A little pricy tab overall for tacos but they were quite good, so it's a send. Also amazing patio/outdoor seating, definitly why we chose Torchys for dindin. Nice staff as well :) read more

This is where you need to be! My husband and I loved Torchys so much. It may seem a bit pricey but the tacos are bigger than your average street taco, you get unlimited chips if you order the dips, and they have Maine Roots soda - so good! We shared four different tacos because the menu is so good you don't know what to pick and try. We absolutely loved all of our tacos, our favorites were the shrimp and the brisket. Each one comes with a unique sauce. The Hillbilly quest with chorizo is the real winner though - with fresh chips! I need to find a copycat recipe ASAP! The atmosphere was fun and they have a bar in the back. We were in around dinner time on a Friday night and man was this place packed!! Can't wait to go back and try more! read more

I have been to the Torchys in Denver and decided to give this place a try after seeing they had plant based options. I recently decided to cut meat out and was a bit skeptical of the new plant based options. The new plant based "meat" is delicious! I ordered three total tacos. One on flour tortilla, one on a corn tortilla, and one in a bowl. Two tacos was super filling-but I was able to finish the third since there was not a tortilla with it. The tacos are much larger than your typical street taco. I ordered through door dash, and you could personalize the side sauces. The filling was flavorful and had a great spice to it. I did warm them up when they were delivered (my fault for delivery)-but everything was great and it is now added to my list for a quick dinner! read more

How happy I was to find a Torchy's in Fort Collins! Having lived in Texas for many years, this place is near and dear to my heart. And the tacos cannot be beat! The food here is just as excellent as its Texas brothers and sisters. The green chile pork taco does not disappoint, and the Mr. Pink and Mr. Orange are perennial favorites. Breakfast tacos are a must, too, and be sure to top them off with Torchy's special hot sauce. This location also boasts a full bar, with excellent Colorado craft brews on tap. Odell's Down The Hatch green chile wheat was incredible, and made specially for Torchy's with green chiles provided by the taco establishment. Visiting from out of town and was recommended to come here by a coworker--I was impressed. This place has great "fun" tacos with lots a flavor. It's not your "traditional" Mexican food, but it's delicious. The tacos may be a little messy and it may take you a few tries to find what you like best, but there are plenty of options. They even have vegetarian tacos. My coworkers love the guacamole, which comes with cilantro and cheese and a little jalapeño for bite. I got the Matador (Left) and the Fried Avocado (Right), both were good. I felt like a true matador fighting the brisket bull on my taco. Needless to say, I won and it was so good. read more

This Torchys location is always consistant! We love their queso's and gauc! Their tortilla chips are on par with my most beloved mexican restaurant Inca. I wish they had more options for salsa. If you think about it they really miss the mark by not have an abundance of options in the dinning area but I just have to rember to ask for it from the kitchen when ordering. I always love their seasonal tacos, and their Austin margarita. You can't really go wrong with any of the tacos. The big chief in charge once brought us extra queso and chips and it pretty much made are week. It would be cool if they added some yummy desserts, maybe churros?? Great delivery! Door dash some tacos, and let me tell you they were on the spot! The best fish taco I've ever had was the blackened salmon one. The Baja taco and fried avocado taco were tasty as well! We enjoyed the queso dip, by far some of the best we've ever had. I would highly recommend trying this place out. Torchy's Tacos is street tacomania with six vegetarian (out of 26 regular menu) taco options. They are tasty which makes it a place omnivores and vegetarians can both enjoy. Vegans might be able to try some of the items and subtracting specific ingredients but there are no specific vegan items on the menu. The paper menu has a "V" making vegetarian tacos easy to identify but no such markings for other menu items, so when in doubt or curious just ask. We had several different tacos and shared a side dish: "Dirty Sanchez" is a "breakfast taco" available all day, eggs with fried poblano chile, guacamole, escabeche, chest and poblano sauce on a flour tortilla. "Independent" fried portobello mushrooms, refried black beans, roasted corn, escabeche carrots, cojita cheese, cilantro & fresh avacado with ancho aioli on a flour tortilla. I substituted corn tortilla for this one and you really have a choice of corn or flour tortillas for any taco you order. "Fried Avocado" fried avocado slices, (pinto) beans, pico de gallo, with poblano sauce on a corn tortilla. They have 6 different sauces so if you want something other than what the taco you select is normally served with just ask. The sauces are served in little cups on the side. "Street Corn" a 12 Oz bowl with corn topped with ancho aioli, cotija cheese, cilantro, dusted with red chili powder, and a wedge of lime. I'm not a big soda drinker anymore but this was too fun to pass up. The "Maine Root Fountain Soda" all are this unusual brand which also included a "cactus lemonade" which was very tasty. Their "to go" cups are plastic, reusable and meant to be taken home. The restaurant is combined with a bar and like many similar places has music way too loud in an acoustically live room. The outdoor seating was an area where we could sit, eat, and actually talk without being accosted by the intrusively loud "background music." The tacos are tasty, but as the ingredients make clear, everything here is pretty oily and no doubt high calorie. Typically two tacos will make a meal but they are so generously portioned some will be satisfied with one. Tacos prices range between $2.50 - $4.75 each. This place is a nice addition to the recently remade Foothills Mall in Fort Collins. From my perspective it gets 4 out of 5 stars. Bon Appétit. read more

This is a much needed taco joint in midtown, which is why it's consistently packed. The line will always look super long but that's mostly because the restaurant just isn't that big. The orders go quickly, and they're slowly improving their food prep time. But be warned they're still slow, and dining here requires some patience. For the best experience: - Avoid high noon and six at night, the wait times are painful - Get the chips and queso, it's a stick-to-your-ribs type with decent heat - Unless you have no other choice, avoid the corn tortillas - they're truly terrible - Don't waste your time with the tiny margaritas Another thing worth mentioning: A friend of mine has gluten allergies and has found this place to be a new favorite. Now, if they can get the kitchen to churn out the food quicker and they figure out a better feng shui situation for the soda machine/utensils area this place could be top tier. As it is now, people can't figure out where to form a line for sodas, and simply getting to the straws and silverware is tricky since it's near the kitchen door and customers waiting around, trying to figure out where they should sit and what the various (and esoteric) Maine Root sodas taste like. The tacos are tasy and delicious. The portion is good and the average taco is about $4. I was satisfied with 2 tacos and found them filling. The ingredients were fresh and the salsas are good. I do prefer a salsa bar where I can mix salsas and get more when I need them. The set up is great and the seating is really nice. The outdoor patio is covered and is a great place to enjoy your food. I was really impressed that there is little to no road noise there. The indoor area and bar are well laid out and the service was great. I think my only complaint is that they have a taco on the menu called "The Dirty Sanchez". I get the fun double meaning names on tacos, however, my 12 year son has been asking me what a Dirty Sanchez really is. Awkward!!!!!!!! I think without that, i would give 4.5-5 stars to Torchy's but really, I cannot give 5 as my children are still asking me to tell them what a Dirty Sanchez is 3 days later. read more
