Margarita with No salt on rim coz turns out it doesn't come standard

Tried Vatos Tacos yesterday and ordered about 12 tacos...honestly, they were just okay, nothing that would make me come back for tacos again. I also ordered two margaritas (one pineapple, one regular). When I got them, there was no salt on the rim. I asked the bartender about it, and he told me that I should have "ordered it with salt" and that it was an upcharge. I've been to plenty of places and never once have I had to "add on" salt to a margarita, it's just a standard part of the drink. Paying extra for salt on the rim doesn't make sense and really left a bad impression. Between that and the underwhelming tacos, I wouldn't recommend this place.

A small yet amazing taco eatery on the main strip in Fort Collins....all the tacos I have had were amazing. Staff is great and prices reasonable. Food comes quick and they have a large patio that even in winter is covered and heated...so you can get your taco on any time of the year!

When I visited Fort Collins, I asked a few locals where to eat and many of them recommended Vatos. I was excited to try it out and was even more excited when I saw that it was located in a food hall type location. I'll be honest, my review may be a bit biased because I had a burrito and it seemed like they are known for their tacos. Even so, I thought the burrito would at least be decent but it severely lacked meat and it honestly reminded me of a burrito you can buy at a supermarket and microwave. The hot sauce was spicy but lacked flavor. I may revisit and try their tacos and edit my review. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing.

This place is sitting in a great spot with lots of other restaurant concepts in Fort Collins. The quality and flavors of the food are second to none. Some people may not appreciate since the portion sizes are small for a guy, but just right for your better half. You can start with Tacos and then get ice cream across the square. Stop and enjoy..

Vatos Tacos is nestled in The Exchange in Fort Collins, which is a real cool food court type of area but also if you wanna enjoy wine/beer/cocktails you can do that as well! My partner and I stopped in for a quick bite and were for the most part pleased with Vatos. Pork belly tacos were to die for, carnitas was good too..really enjoyed the salsa that came with the chips. Tacos are super small just a heads up. Would go back to try the nachos or a burrito. Thinking of making a weekend outta our next trip, so definitely wanna stop by in the am for a breakfast burrito then!

Was a busy evening. So we had to wait in line for about 25 minutes We ordered 1 child and 3 adult meals to go. The food was good, but it took another 30 minutes for it to be ready.

Slow service for a not so busy day. They didn't provide limes or birria sauce. I would suggest going elsewhere if you want quality service.

Best tacos in Fort Collins and also serve an excellent margarita. Hidden gem, can't recommend enough.

Fairly pricy for the size of the tacos. But still pretty good. Had a few of their tacos and all were good. Just a little pricy

I've lived in a lot of places and the red salsa from Vatos is hands down the best. Get the carnitas meal and you'll be set.

I consider myself a Mexican food connoisseur, and frankly resent that I'm writing such a glowing…read morereview for a restaurant so far from Mexico. But this was genuinely some of the best Mexican-inspired food of my LIFE! As a vegetarian, Mexican food tends to be hit or miss when it comes to creative meat substitutes. Blue Agave chose fried avocado tacos as its offering, and WOW. They were truly amazing. Life changing. Well spiced, the right amount of filling in each taco, and the avocado itself was perfectly ripe and fried well without much residual grease. Not only that, but the side beans and rice were incredible. The portions were generous and spiced magically- I could eat just the beans and rice as a dish on its own. I was also astounded by how the grilled corn sauce was thick and saucy, but tasted EXACTLY like elote- some kind of culinary magic. This place may be slightly pricier, but the food portions are large and I cleaned my plate and left feeling stuffed. My companions couldn't finish their beans and rice, and if I didn't think I was going to explode I would have cleaned their plates, too. I'm glad I don't live in FoCo or else I would go broke eating here. I cannot recommend it enough, especially those avocado tacos. I will be dreaming of them for years. The restaurant was a little jammed when I visited and some might find the atmosphere overwhelming, but I would say it's absolutely worth it. Seriously, if you're going to one place in FoCo, go here.

I think it took 45 mins from the time we ordered until the time we got our food, dessert was *slightly* better at about 30 mins. I think we were there for almost two hours, if not more because of the long waits. There were PLENTY of empty tables, so it wasn't packed, but still took forever. For the foods: Coconut shrimp tacos- good but the tortilla wasn't cooked and fell apart and the habanero creama will absolutely throat punch you if you were not expecting it Chicken teriyaki- good flavor, the Brussels sprouts were the best part of the dish. Shrimp skewers-just ok. Braised short rib enchiladas-hubby thought these were amazing, huge chunks of tender short rib that melts in your mouth. It was really good. Tres Chocolate Brownie-Underwhelming at best, feel free to skip this. The blondie- DELICIOUS. Get this one. Served warm, and has that kind of brownie gooey center. It's perfect. Would come back for more if I lived here.

It was rich, creamy, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. Every bite was packed with delicious flavors, making it the perfect way to start our meal. For the main course, we got the Barbacoa de Picanha, along with two tacos--the Taco de Ribeye and the Duck Taco. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The meats were tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We also ordered two drinks: the Sabina Safe and the Martini Manzana. Both were excellent--refreshing, flavorful, and crafted perfectly. They paired wonderfully with the food and added even more to the overall experience. A special shoutout goes to our server, Allen. He was incredibly friendly, hospitable, and knowledgeable. We followed several of his recommendations, and every single one was spot on. His attentive service truly elevated our dining experience. To top it all off, Allen surprised us with two complimentary shots at the end of the meal. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of them, but they were honestly the most delicious shots I've ever had. They had a beautiful purple creamy foam on top and were absolutely incredible--smooth, unique, and unforgettable. Overall, everything was outstanding: the food, the drinks, the service, and the atmosphere. This was a truly memorable dining experience, and I will definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the area. Highly recommended!

My friends had a hard time drinking it because it was so incredibly hot. The cucumber marg was more refreshing. However, neither of them were strong like I'm used to at Mexican restaurants. The queso fundido was yummy. My friends and I split the shrimp ceviche, which was ok, but I honestly expected better based on the reviews I'd seen.
