Perfect soft, juicy, tender hot meat all the toppings of the Trailer park, plus side of salsa topped it perfectly, to go after wk tired headed home NO NAPKINS! 2nd went back for the taco! Same order for just taco but Trailer park taco substitute chic for beef. Different taco think it was fajita taco, Good mind you but not what I wanted, I'm headed home in car again , I work nearby No napkins again! 3rd time headed home from else where was gonna hit up in n out so hubby said no he works there decided to give it another try so maybe I could get That 1st delicious taco and hubby could try it too, super long lines! Decided to get take out, I was specific wanted Trailer park Toppings but substitute the chicken for the beef. Hubby bit into one got three! I wanted so badly to be able to leave a good review. I waited for this location to open because I had never been to one before. I was so disappointed! My husband got the beef fajita taco. He had to spit out 3 bites of meat because it was so tough he couldn't even chew it. I got the beef burrito and my meat was so tough, as well, that I ended up taking everything off of the burrito and eating a flour tortilla with some beans on it. The chips and salsa were really good though and the customer service was great as well. I couldn't believe it was $31 for a burrito, one taco, water, and a fountain drink. The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant was really clean. I think I'll give it one more try so I can taste the chicken. The best service and damn good food! All the employees are ready and happy to help - the food came out fresh and delicious. My friend had the Brushfire and the grilled shrimp and I had the big burrito. We also ordered the queso with chorizo you already know is a must if you go to Torchys and omg we tried the churros - they are to die for, so delicious! I saw a couple of 1 star reviews with people complaining about the sitting arrangements and honestly if you are a civilized person you would understand and wait for your turn - some people just need to chill and be patient. Our experience was magnificent and quite frankly we didn't wait long we had a table as soon as we ordered in line and the food came out quick and fresh!! I'm definitely coming back for more churros (seriously try them) and more brisket tacos - really everything on the manu looks amazing!! read more

I take no joy in giving bad reviews but... this place is new to Rockwall and my first experience (an hr ago) was not a good one. I am writing this review from the toilet as we speak. I ordered the cross roads in a bowl with brisket and the burrito bowl with chicken. I ordered what was supposed to be rice and pinto beans on the side but only got rice. The CrossRoads in a bowl with brisket was a tiny cup with three jalapeño slices, A baby portion of brisket and about five small squares of potatoes. In the burrito bowl, it was like being given chicken scraps with fat/skin and gristle thrown in with A couple of slices of avocado, about a tablespoon of rice and one pinto bean..... in the midst of eating this food, my stomach started bubbling and I've been on the toilet since! I DO NOT recommend this place. Oh and the first encounter i had with someone who (i guess ‍) worked there, didn't have any uniform, shirt or anything that would make it obvious that they even worked there. Torchy's is a bit of a cult like following. I'm a very loyal and long time customer. They finally opened one up in Rockwall. I think I am the one who spilled the news way back when they were taking construction bids. :-) You can literally eat there every day and make it different. They have both breakfast and lunch/dinner style tacos. It is NOT Tex-mex. It is Austin-Mex fusion. They will customize the tacos just about any way you can dream up. The queso - is the best on the planet. I'm a queso snob. The tacos - you can't complain. Have them make it the way YOU want it. If you're not creative enough, order from the menu or better yet, google the not so secret "Secret" menu. The margs - none of that mix stuff. FRESH squeezed limes for the margs. Try it - you won't go back to that cheap bar mixed crap ever. Seriously! Service here is great now that we're passed the opening day/months crazy stuff. Everyone is settled into a routine now. For the health minded, you can order your taco in a bowl (my go to) - saves the calories/fat so you can keep the taco healthier. You really won't miss the tortilla honestly. You can also order a skinny marg which is also fresh but 25% less sugar in the simple syrup they make. They don't taste as great but that is the price you pay for drinking "healthier" options. read more

This place was amazing! The front register was so helpful and the MIT (Katherine) was above and beyond! came to check on our table and greet us with a warm and welcoming smile! I love Torchy's tacos but this location is NOT GOOD. I sat down while my friends ordered and guess what? They kicked me out my seat. They have the rudest service ever. When we finished ordering the employee made us wait for over 10 minutes to wait for a seat. This has personally never happened to me to any other Torchy's Tacos location and I have been to a lot of them. Also they are always super busy in the middle of the day.
