This pharmacy is disorganized; my first two times going here despite calling in advance same day and having reassurances that the prescriptions would be ready, I had to wait at least 50 min one time and 15 min the next time. Difficult to wait since I'm pregnant (3rd trimester) and it's hard to stand for very long, and they have no chairs in the pharmacy. Communication within the pharmacy itself isn't good continuity-wise. Ie, I requested a refill on a Friday, was told it wouldn't be ready until Monday due to insurance reasons, was assured it would be ready on Monday, and then when I came to pick-up, the pharmacy wasn't prepared. I go to my doctor's office which is in the same building. I had excellent service at the Plaza Pharmacy in the "3400 Lomita Blvd" building next door in the past, so transferred my prescriptions there instead. (I had initially opted for Tormed by mistake, thinking it was the Plaza one.) read more

Went in for medication for my dad. Off the bat I was told it wasn't covered and it would be 54.00; then I said how can that be- he has medicare. So then they said they would get an authorization and only authorized 1 week and told me to get the rest authorized via my dad's doctor. Can I just say I was shocked to find out the co-pay was less than 3.00. Remember I walked in and was told my cost was 54.00. Felt like I was being scammed. read more

I called this pharmacy and asked for a stock check on Medication .. I was told the medication was in stock by one of the techs there. The medication was sent over ELECTRONICALLY from my doctors office. Once they seen my BLACK name they all of a sudden didn't have the medication in stock. I do not recommend anywhere that discriminates against patients due to their race color or creed. It's not right and I hope they lose their license. This review is long overdue. I've been coming to this pharmacy for over 5 years now. They are the best in the South Bay. They are kind, quick and super knowledgeable in all things medicine. I recently was in the hospital and they were able to quickly fill and order all my needed medications. They also are good with kids and have lots of fun things in the pharmacy to keep the kids busy while we wait for the prescriptions. They usually can always fill a script if you walk in within an hour. I so appreciate every staff member here. Thank you for all you do! read more

Walked into the building for a doctors appointment not realizing I needed a mask just to enter the building. The only place to grab one was the pharmacy which charged $6.56 for a DISPOSABLE mask!!!! Talk about price gouging and taking advantage of people. Then the pharmacist had the nerve to tell me "oh well there's two in the pack for you." Come on. This is a great pharmacy! My prescriptions are filled quickly and the service is excellent. Recently, I was prescribed a new medication and I wanted to make sure I understood how to properly take it. Marjan was very patient with me and took the time to explain how to best take the medication. I very much appreciated this and felt much more comfortable taking the new medication. As a health provider, the covid pandemic has been very tough on all the healthcare workers. We have workers who risk their job to work off the clock, skip their breaks, work through the pandemic with no vacation. All just to meet the needs of patients, some have fainted on the job, while others quit the profession altogether. Most of us stayed because we honestly cared about the patients. So, when Marjan starts berating us for not answering our phone on time despite our explanation of this difficult time, it shows little to no compassion. I would leave 1 star but I give her the benefit of doubt that maybe she had a bad day at work. Never had a problem here. Quick fills, great cash prices if you need it. Sometimes the pharmacist can get overwhelmed but just be patient she can come off as rude but in reality she is just making sure something doesn't get sent to the DEA wrong (she's had a few students lately). I have had the unfortunate task of having to come here 2-3x a month over the last 4 years. They usually have everything you need and they compound for humans and pets. I had a rather tedious compounding order and they got it done next morning or same day. Sadly they know me there but hopefully within the next year or two the visits will become fewer. read more

Horrible customer service. Long story short, I had to come to this pharmacy because they are only one of two in the area that have the specific eye drops I needed. Keep in mind that I have a corneal ulcer. My doctor called ahead of time so that when I arrive, the eye drops would be ready for pick up. I get here and they charge $300 with no explanation other than its not covered by my insurance. Okay. Next they say the wait is 15-20mins. About 15 minutes later I am told that the wait will be 30 minutes longer. What?! I ask the cashier what's going on and I am told that the pharmacist is checking prescriptions for other customers. Wtf!? It's an emergency and I need these eye drops in my eyes as soon as possible. I told her I have an ulcer in my eye and this is an emergency, I just came from the hospital and I'm on a schedule for these drops. Finally the pharmacist starts to do the eye drops. Needless to say, I would not come here again and would not recommend anyone else to. I waited a total of 45mins-hour for what should have been an in and out stop at the pharmacy. read more

Fast fill up! Medications are filled up within 5 minutes and the service is good. It's a kid friendly store, and if you have small ones you'll be spending more than just medications! They have all the kids stuff at the front of the store and nic-nacks everywhere. I gave it a five because does how long it takes them to fill up the medication 5 minutes! read more

After going to 4 pharmacies trying to get a prescription filled for post-surgical meds and each one was out...I was finally able to get my prescription filled in less than 30 minutes and I had never been there before so they had to process my insurance & everything. Pleasant staff and fair pricing. The only down side was parking, but was thankful they had the medication in stock so overall it was worth it. read more

I just moved to Torrance recently so I was looking for a new local pharmacy in the neighborhood that I could frequent. After several bad experiences at the large chain drugstores (I won't name them but you know who I'm talking about!) I wanted to try an independent store. That's when I found Tormed Pharmacy. They are located next to teh Torrance Memorial Medical Center. Look for the sign that says "Tormed Medical Buildings". They have plenty parking in the lot. So far I have been really pleased with them so far. They are very quick and friendly. And since I've been there a few times they know me now so I can get in and out pretty quick. They are also very knowledgeable of compounded medication. It's always a pleasure going in. I would highly recommend them. read more

So far fantastic compounding pharmacy. I love this little pharmacy and am soo happy they have late hours. I have been using bio-identical hormones now for 2 months and began using this pharmacy because this is the only compounding pharmacy that has hours M-F until 6pm. And for a working woman who works daily from 8-5pm and who is a mom of a 14 month old. ("Bitch better have my money"). I NEED to work my full hours. I can't afford to take off work early to go pick up my medications, especially when I'm paying out of pocket for bio identical hormones. I also noticed recently they have Saturday hours!! This wonderful pharmacy never ceases to amaze me after 10 years of me being a loyal client. I had a bratty inappropriate response to the wonderful staff at Tormed telling me the law like I wanted them to. I angrily write a bad review here on Yelp that has a bad impact. I felt like I broke up with my family! But last month after 3 CVS pharmacies didn't have my medication in stock, I went to Tormed. I was welcomed back warmly. S it's always a pleasure to see the girls and Marian and her beautiful daughter working together to help as many people as they can. There was a time my mother was in line waiting for her own medication, about 3 years or more ago, where a young lady who suffered from cancer turned in a medication. Marian herself told this young lady with completely apologetic empathy, that that medication was out of stock. The girl broke down crying and frustrated. Marjan came out to comfort the girl, trying to find an alternative medication the girl could get. She called the girl's doctor and spoke to him about the situation. The doctor agreed to write the girl another prescription for something she can get from Tormed. When the girl left to get the new script, my mom said Marjan was emotional and saying that she felt bad the girl had to suffer from pain. When the girl returned, she didn't have to wait in line, and she paid nothing for her script. These are the pharmacists and pharmacy techs that work at Tormed Pharmacy. These are the people who will go out of their way to fill your script. Don't get mad at them because they're following the Federal laws in place for Scheduled Narcotics. With all they do, they only ask you to abide by the rules, and don't give them a hard time for rules they didn't just make up. You can't and won't find a better compounding pharmacy is the South Bay Area!! read more

This place is great. They were very helpful when I moved to the area and needed to transfer my Rx's. The lady behind the counter advised me that one of my Rx's was going generic soon so check back before my next refill. Guess what? I didn't even have too. A couple of days before I was due they gave me a call asking if I wanted the refill and to tell me that it was generic now so I would save almost $50 on my Rx. Great service! read more

Upon discharge she was given several prescriptions to be filled. Neither CVS or even Torrance Memorial Hospital were able to fill one of the prescriptions. However TORMED was. I've been going to Tormed for years and have always been happy. They have a super high level of technical knowledge and experience, so I am always comfortable with their service. Marjan and her team are thoughtful and sincerely care about their patients. Their prices are fair, and they always give me quick responses. Last week I had to get a compounded eye drop made for me in a very short timeframe, and they were able to get it done super fast and they even followed up with me a couple of days later to make sure I was doing fine. Tor Med Pharmacy at Lomita, Torrance, CA in the close proximity of Torrance Memorial Hospital is by far the best pharmacy that filled my prescriptions. It is very well staffed by efficient and amiable people. My script was filled in a very timely manner and the Technician is so caring that she even took the initiative of providing me with an ice pack to help alleviate the excruciating pain I'm in. The Pharmacist is likewise very supportive of her technician the most effective ice pack to provide me free of charge. No wonder the environment in this establishment is so relaxed and conducive to patients like me. read more

These people are remarkable. The prices are comprable to the big chains - sometimes lower. The big difference is that they understand what really matters. We had a perscription for a controlled pain medication. Legally they cannot dispense a partial quantity. The chains all offered to have product in 2 to 3 days. These folks had it in stock. Who needs a powerful pain med in a few days? When we needed a powerful anti-nausea med, the insurance policy limited us to a few per month when we had to have a few per day. They got on the phone and made it happen - quickly. With late stage cancer, this kind of service is the difference between a few good days and a lot of rough ones. Nice to have a service that understands how much one extra good day can mean. read more

My father and I always get our medications from this pharmacy. I am very happy with their services. There were even times that my father wasnt able to drive to get his medication from them, and Dr Amini managed a delivery service to take the medication to my father's house. I used to be a long time customer of this pharmacy, until some shady things started going on. I started getting IOUs for part of my pain prescriptions - paying for the full amount but having to come back days or a week later for the rest of the tablets. I saw the staff do this to many other customers as well. I was also told that hospice patients were dying in pain because of me taking medication away from them. What? How? "Our inventory is so low and we filled your prescription, so we didn't have enough for our other patients." Now, I would never want that to be the truth, but is that what you want to hear when you go to get a prescription filled at a place you have gone to for years? What am I supposed to do about it at that point? I was near tears. I don't need hand-holding or whatever, but the owner/pharmacist is the most bad-tempered woman. No smiling allowed at this place. She acts like working there is a prison term. I have finally had enough and am taking my business elsewhere. read more
