I thought it would be easy to get medication for my son after finishing our doctor's appointment on the second floor. I walked in today, and there were no welcoming words but plain faces. The two workers there were not friendly at all. When I asked for my son's prescription, (antibiotics and inhaler) they told me they didn't have and that I would have to wait until tomorrow . Since my child had already been running a fever for four days and was diagnosed with bronchitis, I wanted to get the medication the same day. I told them to forget it, and they didn't say another word--just gave me cold stares as I left. Also, they did not transfer our prescription to Ralph. For this event, we call our Doctor's office for many times and wait until almost 5 pm but still no show of it. Finally, the lady call the Ralph's for sending prescription. To be honest, they were not friendly at all! I will never go to this pharmacy again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone! I have been using this pharmacy for 6+ years and am so happy to have found it! The pharmacist is knowledgeable, courteous, and incredibly helpful. He will go out of his way to order what you need and let you know when it will arrive, or if it is back ordered and a substitution should be tried instead. Through the years Vartan has found coupons for my higher priced medications, and his staff have dealt with authorizations to get medications approved. Above all, it is so nice to be greeted by name and have your prescriptions ready in a timely manner. The pharmacist there is rude. And they are not true to their words. They said they were going to transfer our prescription to CVS but never did . And when we tried to call while we were at CVS, they were closed for the weekend. So we were without medication for 3 days. Imagine how that can be life changing if not life threatening read more

If I can give this place no star I would. Had our prescriptions filled here a couple of times & because it was down the hall from my physician I would ask to send our prescriptions to this pharmacy so we can pick them up on our way out of the office. This place is a cheat because it is an independent pharmacy and not a big chain like CVS, Walgreens, etc. of course they are going to care if our insurance company under pays and when that happens instead of your copay being $15 the pharmacist raises the price to whatever the cost to make up for their cost plus profit. When I was talking to the pharmacist his technician rudely interrupts what seems to be an A & B conversation and had the nerves to tell me that I may have a deductible that we haven't met because of the new year. So I told her we don't have a deductible and a month ago we got the same medication filled for my husband and it was $15. I transferred all of our prescriptions out to our CVS which gives us better services and doesn't rip us off and I told our physicians to never send any patients and their prescriptions to Lomita Pharmacy. read more

I get a personal call when my scripts are ready, and he looks for ways to make the products more cost effective. Who would have thought that there was such a difference between pharmacies. I have been going to Rite-Aid and then CVS for the the past 15 years and I have never enjoyed the experience, but figured that was my only option. I always felt like a number and had to wait for long periods to get my prescription filled and routinely had them suggest I change my medication to a "less expensive" option, when in reality they didn't want to take the time to apply a coupon to save me some bread and give me what my physician prescribed. Upon leaving my physician's office, they mentioned the pharmacy downstairs has been getting great feedback from other patients and that my medication was probably in stock, so I stopped by. Vartan, the pharmacist was so personable and efficient. Unlike my other pharmacists, who don't like to process a coupon to save me money, Vartan spent the 2 minutes to ensure I got the medication for the least amount possible. You can tell this guy is not only a hard worker, but actually cares about his patients. Great guy, great pharmacy, great experience. First time here at this pharmacy I made a phone call before headed over to see if they carried the medication they answered all my questions really professional staff I was greeted upon arrival, I had been having a really hard time getting my prescription filled none of the big pharmacies had the medication I needed . They went above and beyond made phone calls to other pharmacies that my prescription was originally sent to for the cancellation also made a phone call to my insurance Alejandra Was really nice and helpful the pharmacist took the time to explain how to use the medication In detail! Vartan is very knowledgeable, experienced, and professional. He went out of his way to check my insurance coverage, find the best pricing and even found a coupon to use for a new medication. They work especially well with the Doctors in their building so most of the time you can walk out with the med's the Dr prescribed soon after the Dr visit ends. read more

I give this Pharmacy one star. I walked in today expecting a warm welcome and got just plain Rude Attitude. The girl that took my perception had no facial expressions showed no kind of good customer service never made eye contact and was just very cold. Told me to sit down for a second. As I was sitting Down waiting for my prescription to be filled and got dirty looks from the girl the whole time and to top it off they started talking in some kinda code language and was obvious they were talking about me. I received my Meds in a timely manner which was great but I also got a cold and rude attitude from the man which is I assume the pharmacist. While the girl gave me dirty look and looked plain miserable. I will never return to this pharmacy ever again. I don't get it everyone else is giving 5 stars and I find that hard to believe. Teach your staff customer service and learn how to give a warm welcome. I can only think of one explanation as to I was judged by the way I look. read more
