I needed a quick lunch while in the area and decided to try Toro Poke. Staff were very friendly and had my order ready very quickly. I had the Hawaiian bowl with crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoons were fresh and tasted good with plenty of filling. The poke bowl was just ok. I would like to come back and try a different poke bowl. read more

Stopped by for a quick snack. We ordered 2 Zen garden bowls after we were told they were vegan. It was good but not wow amazing. I've had many poké bowls and I'm happy that they had the vegan option on the menu but I wouldn't go out of my way for this if I were in the area. read more

As far as I can see, Toro Poke is now the only Poke place in the area. Did I drive to the mall with the sole intention of getting my lunch here? Yes. I grew up in California so seafood/poke were a big part of my diet. I was sad to see that it is so hard to find here, but this place is very good. They have a lot of option for protein and flavors. The toppings are different from what I'm used to, so I don't use a lot of them, but that's ok. I highly recommend and encourage people to go here so it sticks around! read more

Been coming here every now and again since they opened last year, and I cant believe I havent made a review! First off, after trying a few poke places this place is my fave. I dont ever get any of the signature bowls I always make my own no matter where I go. (brown rice, salmon, tuna, cucumber, seaweed salad, edamame, tofu, topped with nori sesame and poke sauce/yum yum sauce) So this is solely judged on other things like the fact a regular bowl gets me full and its priced well at $9.99. Dont think I can go anywhere else! This weekend marks their anniversary so come by and grab a bowl! -$1 and a free drink on bowls or buy one get one 50%! read more

This is one of the most delicious things I've ever had at the mall. I got Roberts bowl which was full of spicy crab, steamed shrimp, and it was so good! My base was brown rice and besides the proteins there was a bit of corn, pineapple, edamame and cilantro. Topping off the bowl there were two delicious sauces full of flavor.One was bursting with the taste of sesame. I noticed that there was also a vegan option as well as some that had raw salmon or tuna. Chibken was available as well. You also customized by adding toppings. I had seen some friends post their bowls and had to try it for myself. You can pick from the menu or create your own bowl like we decided to. You pick a base, mix ins, protein, and sauces. I usually like mixed greens or zucchini noodles but unfortunately they didnt have either. I had to remind myself not to expect too much because I was in a mall food court but I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. Their sauces were really good! Is it the poke best I've ever had? No, but for what they offer/charge this place is solid I stopped at the mall just to try this. I had very quick service. Ordered a Robert's bowl. Sub onion for cucumber, which they did not do, just left out onion. That's my fault as I noticed and did not correct. They give you a large amount of crab. And the shrimp is cleeeean. Not a single one had any sort of digestive track left. I feel the price for the size is great. My only issues....the cilantro was wilted. And the avocado I paid extra for, was pretty brown. Everything else was fresh. They just need to prep those in smaller amounts read more

I've never been so excited to eat in a mall food court! I love Toro Poke and I'm so happy they've found their place at Oak Park mall. The flavors are fresh and the food is served quick. Located in a mall's food court, you wouldn't expect the poke to be of good quality in comparison to an actual poke joint. Looks are deceiving as I was actually impressed and enjoyed my creation of a bowl. The quality of the poke is great, and I like how they give unlimited toppings instead of limiting to only 2-3. The price for a regular-sized bowl is ~$12 including tax, which isn't too bad compared to other poke places (though it is in a food court). Toro Poke is the closest place that serves poke to me, so I will be returning whenever I'm craving this Hawaiian staple. read more

I got the regular bowl with white rice, cucumbers, jalapeños, spicy salmon, spicy tuna, mango sauce, and ginger. I added some siracha sauce on it as well just for a bit more heat. Overall it was pretty good although a bit pricey for my taste. I kight have given 5 stars but the biggest turnoff for me was that a cup of water costed 50 cents. I dont think I've ever paid for a cup of water anywhere. Also the worker was very nice and polite and let me sample the sauces without even asking. read more

It's hard to rate a mall poké place against others as though you're looking for fine dining in between a Dillard's and a Bath and Body Works. But, that's what I'm here to do, I guess. Can you find better poké places? Absolutely. Can you find a better one in some mall? Probably. But can you find a better one in THIS mall? Absolutely not. So, if you're asking me to rate it against other poké restaurants, Toro Poké gets three stars. If you want to know how it ranks against other poké places in THIS mall? Five stars, would buy again ... if the mood strikes while I'm already here and it is around lunch/dinner time and I'm not craving Chipotle. read more

I had a chance to visit with manager Robert in passing and decided to order the shrimp model and it was delicious. The food was hot there were plenty of big tender shrimp. I highly recommend it. The Poke bowl was also scrumptious and filling. The price is amazing for all of the fresh food that you get. read more

Pleasantly surprised by a mall food court experience. I was hoping to find a quick semi healthy bite. The Japanese place was crowded so I ventured to toro poke. The young lady behind the counter was SUPER helpful and kind. She made suggestions that were spot on. She also shared that she likes to make the Bowls look good and I can appreciate someone taking pride in her work! The bowl had a great taste. The poke here was out of this world. I love seafood and I love poke and this place does not mess around. We got a bowl with Tuna, Salmon and all sorts of goodies....it was absolutely amazing. Love this place!! Everything is so fresh and the price is reasonable too. You can customize your bowls and they also have fan favorites. Only set back would be parking at the mall by the food court if you are in a hurry to grab it to go. Other than that I give it 5 stars! read more

Hands down the best poke in KC! And yes it is in the food court of Oak Park Mall !!! Don't be like me before we got there and judge the surroundings......just go and order the Toro bowl! It is truly divine! loaded with extremely fresh ingredients and fantastic salmon and tuna! The girls that made the bowls had so much personality and passionate about the food. Wow, what an awesome addition to the Oak Park food court. I had the seafood boil and it's just awesome. You get large shrimp that are easy to peel. The best part is they give you gloves, so you don't smell like shrimp afterwards. The potatoes and corn in it are delicious. They just need some newspaper covered picnic tables and you'll feel like you are eating down South. read more

I was a fan of this place. I use to get it delivered via Uber eats until decided I'd go and check it for myself. I get there and there is about 8min wait time when there was only one person ahead of me. The person working looked sick and I had to remind them what I order 3 times. I ordered the fire bowl and they advised there would be no avacado. No big deal. When it was time to cash out the said it would be the same price and they weren't willing to lower the price considering there were missing ingredients. Then they also charged me for a cup of water. Very disappointing customer service. The food wasn't as great as usually was. The tuna was tough and very fishy tasting and the bowl was full of mostly rice. I've had good food from this place before but after this experience I'm never going back. read more

Very underrated. Tucked into the "cursed" location on the right side of the foot court, they make huge bowls for less than $10 before tax. Get the salmon and tuna together and ask them for this combination sauce. Avocado is only $.50 extra btw. read more

I have been here before, but they had Pho, which they don't now. However, they do have a cup of onion soup for $2, and a very friendly person to serve it up to me. The bowls look good, so I will probably try one of those next time. read more

Delicious!! If you're looking for delicious Asian food for a really good price, come here. We've never had a bad experience ordering here. (This is coming from someone who doesn't like overly salty foods, btw) Since I knew how it was previously, I felt I had to tell my server and opted for the Sho-Yu Ramen, which I had never had, but it was much better. They were happy to swap out my Ramen for the other one, and they also offered to try again with the Tonkatsu. All in all, this is a solid Ramen experience with fantastic staff. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely still good. Combined with the other menu items I've tried and the most friendly staff, I hope they will continue to succeed, as the reviews indicate that many people enjoy the menu.

I was told the manager would be there at 1:00pm, but when I called again later, they still were not available. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have had an incorrect order or missing items, so I have gotten into the habit of checking our food before leaving. I am not looking for a refund or anything complimentary. I simply wanted to share this feedback because we genuinely enjoy the food and would love to feel more confident ordering takeout again. A little more consistency and communication when mistakes happen would go a long way.
