All the workers here have extreme BO and curry smell. They will not lift a finger to help you and treat you with contempt, why? They do not do drop off, they overcharge and put on hidden fees, do not have full tanks of gas, keep their office unprofessional and full of trash. The parking lot is hard to find and they do not provide electronic receipts. This was a corporate rental so I needed a receipt for expense purposes. The guy even lied to me and told me an email had been sent and it would arrive shortly. When I asked him what email address it was sent to, he admitted he didn't have an email. They just want to tell you whatever just to get you out the door so they can scam the next customer. Is it possible to give zero stars? I'm Yelp elite and I'm not one to complain. I rarely give low ratings, look at my past reviews. I hope someone from Avis corporate reads this review? How can Avis have ghetto scammers represent them? I do lots of business travel and have not come across any Avis locations set up like this. Even the crumbling building and hidden parking lot of 30 cars jammed into a parking lot of 20 is ridiculous. Looks like a mom and pop outfit instead of an Avis.

I was ultimately charged approximately AUD$1300 above the quote when I returned the car. Problems: (1) the kilometers were not recorded so I was charged an unknown figure for extra kilometers; (2) I was charged extra for "Roadside Assistance" when it was included in the "Complete Cover" I purchased' (3) I was charged extra for the Premium Location Surcharge and Admin Fee with no explanation. It wasn't the cheapest rental but as Avis is partnered with Aeroplan, I went with them. I chose my dates and pick up/ drop off location and extra add-ons and entered my aeroplan# and prepaid the rental.. when the confirmation was sent I noticed the SAT nav CDW and the LDW had been removed.. but the cost also went down so not a big deal I wasn't charged for it and I knew I could add it at the counter when I picked up my car. When I got to the counter Jack was lovely and helpful.. I opted out of the SAT NAV and decided to use my phone instead.. all good! Holiday was lovely.. drop off was lovely..The issue arose after drop off.. I noticed after a few days, my aeroplan points had not been deposited to my account.. so I tried the online method to no avail it was giving me an error The website said to wait as it can take a few weeks to deposit. I waited 4 weeks and nothing.. I called the customer service line and Omar told me I hadn't entered my aeroplan# at time of booking.. I had it was on my emailed confirmation... Must have been deleted when all my extras for deleted during the payment process .. Omar out a ticket to the QI team and said it will take upto 30 days but the points would be deposited when they fixed what ever issue there was.. 30 days went by and nothing. I called back on day 30. Adel told me the QI team closed the ticket because my Aeroplan account # is invalid and nothing they can do and I needed to call Aeroplan to find out what's wrong with my account.. there is nothing wrong with my account I got all my other points from hotels and flights and partner purchases . I'm very active with my points. Aeroplan agent and her supervisor both looked into and then sent an escalation to Avis as Aeroplan cannot deposit points that Avis has already paid for to my account but definitely said that the points needed to be honoured. They said wait 4 more weeks and if nothing call back.. 4 weeks and nothing. So I called Aeroplan back. They said they can't go any further at that point but Avis needs to be granting the points so to call Avis and speak to a supervisor. I called and the agent that answered told me that my point were in the middle of processing.. it would take upto two weeks to see them reflected.. 2 weeks and still nothing.. I called back at the two week and got told it's still processing it will be another 7 days! I called back on day 7 ...no longer processing, and a note on my file saying points will not be granted because "car was not picked up from an airport" NOWHERE on the website during my booking process did it say you only get points if you pick from and airport! If my pickup location was not a valid location when I put my ff# in a window should have popped up advising me I would not get any points and ask me to confirm.. it did no such thing.. there is NOTHING in the terms and service to state this Nor is there anything under the partners section of the website for Aeroplan points.. I have searched high and low.. spoken to Aeroplan and travel agencies.. and this is a load of crap. I spoke to a supervisor Tyla and she was unhelpful as well.. when I asked her where it told me or how I was to know about only getting points if I pickup from airports rather than the city.. the only response "you will not be granted any points because you didn't pick up from an airport" she must have said that 12 times . She wouldn't answer any of my questions at all it was as though she had a script and that was the only thing on her script and she couldn't think of anything helpful on her own. I'm absolutely appalled that Avis is not honouring the contract they have with customers. ( Have read reviews I am not the only one not receiving points ..all reviews I've read have different excuses for not honouring) Air Canada and Aeroplan need to reevaluate their partnership with a company that does not honour their contracts. The company I work for has corporate specials, so we were able to get the third day free. When we went to pick up the car, the guy at the desk refused to give us the coupon (because it was a long weekend). We fought a little (no blood shed) and he finally agreed to give it to us this ONE time! We got our car, a fairly new PT Cruiser. It all looked good. It wasn't until we started driving that the car gave us problems. Over the speed of about 110KM, the car starts shaking violently (mainly felt on the steeling wheel). The car also steered to the left, which was quite dangerous in combination with the violent shaking. We noticed that the tires were worn down really bad, which did not help the problems we were experiencing - in fact it probably contributed some. All together, the car rental was the low point of the trip. The issues we experienced made it difficult for us to want to drive the car. The total drive one way was about 5-6 hours so you can imagine we had to put up with these problems for a long time. If you're planning on renting a car from here, check out the car first. Take it for a test drive and see if it works correctly. If not, take it back. Your safety and the safety of others on the road isn't worth a weekend of fun.

    RENTERS BEWARE - AVIS…read more This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. * We were stranded on the side of the road for over 5 hours in extreme heat with a 2-year-old child * Avis was clearly informed this was urgent and that we had a 3:20 pm flight * Despite repeated calls, we were: * Transferred endlessly between departments and countries * Ignored * Hung up on * After hours of calls, we were later told roadside assistance was only logged 30 minutes before pickup, despite our earlier requests * We finally got help only after contacting Amex Concierge * By the time help arrived, we had already missed our flight * Assistance would only take us to the airport, showing no concern for the reality of the situation * When I went to the Avis location to return the car seat and complete paperwork, I was met with hostility, raised voices, and accusations, and told the situation was somehow my fault No explanation. No accountability. No concern for safety. If you value reliability, especially when traveling with children or on a schedule, do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere.

They were friendly during the booking processes and promised me a full refund if I was not satisfied. This was one reason we selected them as we were impressed with their confidence in their level of service. The limo windshield was cracked all across from end to end in multiple places and all the windows were dirty. When I asked about the windshield I was told by the driver that this was the only limo available (I was later told by management on the way to pick us up a stone hit the windshield, so which is it?). The AC was also not working properly and although we asked multiple times for it to be adjusted it was not so we were left sweltering in the heat for hours. Lastly the driver would often leave and be unreachable by phone while we waited for him. All in all it was one of the worst experiences I've had with a transport service. To add insult to injury, when I complained it took multiple calls/emails just to get a response (that is if they even respond at all!). Overall I was very disappointed in not only the service on that day but also their customer service, particularly after they promised a full refund initially. Be forewarned, you likely won't get what you paid for!
