This is out first time visiting Torque and was very impressed with not only the service but really liked the atmosphere and the setup of the restaurant. Being a mechanic I like the verbiage of the minu. The food was good only suggestion would be to add little more seasoning, little bland on flavor. Where my set back is when I got my check, I got charged for "Impossible" when I ordered ground beef. Though I know that "Impossible" is plant based meat, which I did not order. It was a small amount but still do not feel I should have been charged for it. Also need to make sure the employees let the customer know that there is two different size drinks and an up charge for the schooners. First time trying this place - found it on Fort Worth foodie page on Facebook. I would love to start by saying the decor was amazing. The theme is more of a garage style and i think they are spot on. The service was exceptional we were greeted , seated and had our order placed all within 10-15 minutes and the food came out fast and super hot. They had multiple tv's so it's a great spot for game day. The michelada was exceptionally good, had a bit of a kick but definitely enjoyed it! Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area. I thought I would get a friendly hello when I walked into Torque Grill and Cantina at 4:55 pm today. Nothing! Waited! Nothing! Finally, a girl rode upon a broom. I should say, show up carrying a broom. But with the attitude she had, she should have been riding it! She said I needed to go out the backdoor. She pointed out the back door. I followed her pointed finger. I ended up outside, but there was a sidewalk to follow to the next building. Once inside the next building, I waited and waited. The building was empty, but someone showed up and pointed to a table after a while. There was no menu available. Waited. When the waiter did show up, he said to look on my phone. Looking over the phone menu and deciding what to eat took a few minutes, everything looked good. I decided I ordered the Impossible burger with cheese and a side of fries. While I waited for my food, they served me chips and hot sauce. They were good. The food took about 15 minutes to arrive at my table. We went in yesterday with the grandkids and were happy to see the giant menu, lots to choose from. First time for us, and right away, we get a couple baskets of the best chips in Texas. We are from CA, and have much better Mexican food there, but these chips even compare with our favorites in Cali. We had street tacos of various types and everyone was happy with their meals, and the place is pretty nice, and clean restrooms. It's so nice to find a place close to home that has something for everyone. We do low carb and came in to try their cheese shelled tacos. It was my first time here. Bartender was very friendly and welcoming. The place looked cool on the inside and outside. I ordered a burger medium rare and it came more close to medium well. I'm pretty sure the burger wasn't fresh( or at least tasted like it). The burger had no seasoning and was just bland. The fries were just ok. Idk if I just ordered the wrong thing but I'd definitely wasn't a good first impression food wise. If I wasn't hungry I prob would have ordered something else. I've been coming here for a few years and today was one of my worst experiences. For MYSELF I paid $41 dollars!!! That is insane. I have noticed the past few times I've gone in that the service has gone down significantly, the servers are very rude and snappy. I waited 20 minutes until I got up and told our server, we are ready to order, to which she followed me to our table and took our order. Be warned if they ask you what salsa you want, they are gonna charge you for it without letting you know! Also don't get the flavored margaritas because they will charge you $2-$6 dollars PER FLAVOR, even though they ask you want flavor you want!! I understand that prices are going up, but as a business this is selfish to your regular customers who have been supporting you! We attempted to talk to the owner and the bartender and server told us he wasn't there, and then 5 minutes later he came in and we recognized him and he told us that prices are going up so there was nothing he could do. This restaurant is usually a great place to dine at but I will not be coming back because I've had 1 too many bad experiences here. Thank you for the good food but work on better hires. read more

Things are not starting out good. So far when calling in an order I have been on hold so far for 14 minutes, while they joke around with other customers. I ended up hanging up without placing an order. So I am not sure if I will ever get to review this place because I can't get anyone to take my order. My son got there and placed an order for us. He ordered the vegan Rust Bucket Mushroom Burger and loved it. We also had the Toolbox with onion rings, fried pickles and vegan flautas. It was cold when he got home , but i think it would have been good if it would have been hot. The problem came with my order. I ordered the Lift Kit Nachos which were supposed to have beans, cheese sauce, guacamole, jalapenos, olives, pico de gallo, tomatoes, sour cream, and we paid extra for ground beef, extra cheese sauce, extra onions. What I didnt get was the beans, cheese sauce, pico de gallo, sour cream, ground beef, or the extra cheese sauce. So as you can imagine nachos aren't really nachos without beans, meat or cheese. This was about the worst mother's day dinner I have ever had. Plus the chips are really thick. I don't know if you like that, but I like very thin chips. I really had high hopes for this place because my son is vegan/vegetarian and I am not and we would not have to go all the way into Ft Worth to get it. My hopes however were dashed. Okay so I called back the next day and they are going to replace the nachos. They were very kind about it. Maybe it was just a very busy day for them. We decided to try a new place and to say I was disappointed is putting it nicely. We were excited about the concept of the place as it's not something you usually see. It didn't take long to be seated but the staff we interacted with were unprofessional. I was judged by two staff members on a drink request and they were not aware of the availability of menu items. We noticed other parties being seated in a whole other building and we asked about it. The person we talked to said it was "cooler" and for bigger parties. It was pretty warm where we were. There was live music but weren't made aware until we were seated with chips and salsa. I ordered a chimi that came with rice and beans. The oil coming out of the chimi was crazy! We had high hopes for this place as it is different with the theme and the food sounded good. Starting with service, we were the only people there, a party of 6 and when we got our drinks we weren't quite ready to order and asked for a few more minutes. More than 15 went by and we had to ask our waitress to come take our orders. Food was decent. The carnitas are sweet which was ok but not what I prefer. The carne Asada was a little dry but my husband said they tasted good. Pastor he said was really good. Asked for a side of guacamole when ordering and had to ask again for it when food was brought out. Also had to ask for refills. After the first time we had to ask she asked ahead of time there on out. Again we were the only table there for most of our visit. They had plenty of people walking around so I'm not sure what the deal was. As I said before we had a party of six. Checks broken up into 4. So when we got our checks and noticed an auto 20% large party gratuity added we were all a little taken aback. This is ridiculous for a party our size and our service was not worth a 20% tip. Waitress comes up and says, "I'm sorry, can you go let your hostess know you're here because we are on rotation?" The wings were ok but tasted like old grease, same with the onion rings! The waitress came back and told us that they could make us another kind. I guess they didn't want to comp our wings. We said no thanks, so she came back and said we would take off the wings but not the onion rings. Ok, fine! Moving on, the band! Oh my goodness, it was so loud. Like turn it down a bit.
