Servers are quite attentive. Menus are extensive and thorough . There is a whole spread to choose from. Since it was a cold evening we chose caldo de res and menudo. The caldo de res was better than home, and very well served portions. At least 10-12 oz of meat maybe more and a great array of veggies and excellent rice and condiments on the side. They don't skimp on the lime for the soups either. We ordered an extra order of flour tortillas. The food came with two for each but they were so good we got one more order. Also for alternative sweeteners they have yellow blue and my favorite pink which I have found they have available less and less. I will come back again. The menudo was excellent. Only complaint is they could have better soup spoons. Bring your own if you are partial to deeper soup spoons, which is petty in the big picture of it all. My dad is picky as I will get out. I am sleeping good tonight with a warm full tummy! The music is classic Mexican and most of my mom's favorites were playing. She was born in the 40's and loved all the classics. We decided to try the flan for dessert .It was about average but we didn't leave any on the plate , and they brought us two spoons on request. We are coming back for breakfast tomorrow . read more

I would realistically give this place 3.5 stars. It is very small, making seating very cramped. The food was good, not fantastic. I felt as though what I ordered was a bit overpriced. I ordered a glass of sangria and it came out as a glass of Merlot. I ordered quesabirria tacos and charro beans. The beans had a good flavor but it was mostly broth not many beans. The birria tacos had a good flavor but were extremely oily, making them get soggy quick. My husband had the guisada which he said was tender and the flavor was good. The service was good. They bring out two salsas and beans with the chips which was nice but a bit underwhelming as far as flavor. The restroom was separate from the sink and the sink had no soap which left me hoping they wash their hands in the back. For the price, I'm not sure if I will go back. read more

They remodeled several months ago. The menu options have increased offering delicious authentic Mexican dishes. Two kind's of hot sauce. Tasty tostada chips. Excellent frozen margarita swirls. Daily specials throughout the week. Large screen tvs in the bar/dining area. Karokee on Friday. The prices have gone up, but are inline with other restaurants in the area. We stopped by tonight and they were empty at 5:30 2 tables in the place. Our young waitress was horrible, brought our appetizer with our food, chips and salsa was empty, drinks were empty, and it took 15 minutes after we finished eating to get the check. We were her only table the entire time! When we finally got the check and she took our credit card to pay, she took a long time to return our card back to the table! We even told her we were in a hurry, she didn't care, so we didn't care to tip her for poor service, the food was barely even warm, and they were not busy at all! First time customer. There is no options to add items nor is there any options to add a note or any type of instructions. But there are a ton of options to remove items from the order. So the was the first issue. Then my food arrives and I set down and open it up and I find a horrible excuse of a meal. Honestly they need to take a little more pride in what they are serving. I have only been twice and ordered the same entrée both times. Finding quesabirria tacos is a bit of a challenge, so I have strictly gone here for that item. My children ordered chicken fajitas and said they were the best they've ever had. The salsa is delicious and comes with 2 different variations. I was not impressed with my house margarita, but wouldn't be opposed to trying it again. read more

Offered to make my order while I waited but that kind of defeats the purpose of ordering online so I didn't have to wait. Food is delicious. I love their chicken tortilla soup. Word of warning, if you order the soup for takeout, you have to specify that you don't want them to have the crispy tortilla strips, avocado, pico, & cheese already added in the soup. Also I was told that they don't send chips and salsa with takeout orders even though they would be served at your table if you dine in. First visit here. Went to see my favorite server Lisa who recently started working here. (She's awesome - make sure to ask for her!). I was immediately seated and ordered something with a little taste of everything so I would get a small peek into their ginormous menu. It was huge and had everything you might be craving. Great selection of appetizers, real Mexican entrees, Tex-Mex, and a lighter fare of chicken dishes, etc. The main items on the menu are in the scope of authentic Mexican food vs Tex-Mex. I got a combo platter with a tostada and a beef enchilada, rice and beans. Had I known about the enchiladas, I would've skipped the tostada and gotten a plate of the enchiladas instead. (Next visit!) The enchiladas are served in corn tortillas (as they should be) and smothered in chili/ranchero sauce and loads of melty, ooey gooey cheese. I wanted to lick the plate! The beans and rice were good, as was the tostada, and the hot sauce and chips were fair but nothing overly special. Would love to see them have homemade chips with a spicier salsa. The service was amazing and the staff was all super friendly. If you love authentic Mexican food like I do, go try this place out! Next time will have to try the fajitas - I saw them go by me sizzling on a skillet and they smelled amazing!! read more

So, Glenda demanded Mexican food, and here we are! Seated immediately, but tables are jam packed in here. Way to close together. We liked the chips and salsa. Very good. The buffet looked fantastic. Lots of variety, plenty to choose from. Everyone got the buffet but me, and they loved it. Full bellies all around. I had just had breakfast 2 hours earlier and wasn't really hungry. So, nachos! They were great, but if you can screw up nachos, you need to shut the doors. Yes, I would recommend trying this place if your in the mood for south of the border. Check photos for the buffet. She was really impressed and happy I had the cheese enchiladas and asked for the salsa verde with the chips and added it on top of my rice and dinner the beans were perfect rice perfect and chips fresh and hot the staff was friendly smiling faces so nice and the environment was amazing! First I just want to say that I went into this restaurant hoping to love it, as my father in law raved about how great the buffet was. Immediately I noticed that there were a lot of empty spaces in the parking lot, which I thought was odd for a weekend. Inside, it has cramped seating, so if you go here, make a point to ask for a booth. The paint was peeling off of the walls, which I assume is to create a more "authentic" experience? It just looked kind of trashy in my opinion, but not nearly as off putting as the excessively gaudy decorations. Every seat is a different color of studded/stamped leather, reminiscent of a cheap over the top handbag that a tourist would buy at Loves gas station. Food wise, which is what I was obviously more interested in, the buffet was average or a little below. Well stocked, yes, but not many options for my vegetarian husband, and for me, the beef enchiladas were both dry and mushy at the same time. How they managed to get really dried out meat into a soggy enchilada I simply do not know. My husband informed me the cheese enchiladas "sucked". I did like one of the salsas that were provided with the chips (chips were stale), as it was at least spicy enough to make me believe it was more than tomato sauce and water. The other salsa that came with the chips was bland and had no kick. I really wanted to like this place, as I said earlier, but I can't lie. I will never come back. read more

This Tex-Mex spot has it all, from Tex-Mex staples to authentic Mexican dishes to American standards. It is known by the name "Jalisco's" locally. Lunch buffets during the week put a large selection of the most popular items on the all-you-put-away buffet, along with a second buffet of dessert, salad, and fruit. The prices are better than any chain restaurant in my experience, and the food is impressive to everyone-- even (and especially) our Latino friends and family. Tex-Mex restaurants generally provide chips and salsa, but Jalisco's has two: one savory and warm, the other spicy and chilled, and both excellent. I judge Tex-Mex restaurants by their salsa, beans, and rice-- and all three are excellent, here. The entrees are Even Better. Being a Texan means finding that one place where the food meets your high Mexican food standards.
