They don't even deserve 1 star for their being unprofessional they will avoid you incorrectly do your taxes and because you are not a tax pro will take advantage. Took 6 months to get my 2024 taxes my state also which due to JC putting wrong address which he said he fixed I finally got a check at my brothers house since he put an old address I also asked him to fix. The best is I got my transcripts from irs and know understand why he has not returned my call after texting emailing leaving messages. He put different direct deposit info that I caught and he said he fixed which is a lie, even made up fake documents showing he fixed everything. will not provide me with how much I was charged yet my refund was over 3000 and I got little over a 1000 deposited into my bank from an account he had irs send to. I was unable to change it and he's good he will make it look like helping you after finding out I'm not the only one looking for this man for same issues he will never reply to you i been trying for months. I dont do taxes so he knows how to manipulate the system. Be aware if you come here on what's going on and make sure you know what he charging you. I've been using Torres Tax for the past 3 years. I became their client after a career change where I went from working for the county government to being a independent contractor. Unfortunately, I didn't keep up with my tax records as closely as I should have. I explained Liliana my scenario and she went straight to work. Liliana had me sent her everything tax related from receipts, to W-2's, IRS letters you name it. She meticulously organized everything by year. Which I know alone wasn't an easy task. Then she tackled the returns year-by-year. I can't count how many texts and calls where made back and forth (even during weekend off hours) we had to make sure everything was done right and properly accounted for. Don't go here Juan Carlos and his wife Illiana will CHARGE you an undisclosed secret amount and then you will realize it's a large amount with no receipt. I'm not one to be upset for overpaying for quality service but I would appreciate the truth they charged me 480$$$ Illiana broke it all down with ridiculous fees so if your not sure ask for the cost up front, even though I did she lied so get it in writing!!!And don't sign anything you don't read on paper. I was bamboozled bad for three years straight, but never again. I made a appointment with him in the morning and when I got there on time the place was closed. I tried to call him many times but nobody answered. I decided to wait. About 10 minutes another customer showed up and said he had an appointment too. We both stayed there for about an hour and they finally showed up. An hour late!! They do good work but they do not open on time. Call before you come because you will be sitting in the parking lot waiting for them to open. Make sure you can set up direct deposit if you can. I had my taxes done by them last year and had my check sent to them and they decided to take a vacation. I called to see what was going on and I got no answer. I went up to the place on several occasions. When the lady finally answered she said she sent my check and come to find out she did not send it. I had to wait an extra week until they came back from vacation to have my check sent out. read more

This would of been me and my husbands 3rd year filing with Torres Income Tax. The owners were in the back the whole time we filed and some other gentleman filed for us without the proper breakdown and questions we were usually used to from the previous years. After he gave us our return amount my husband asked for a breakdown and where the owners were... He was really nervous and seemed to act lost when it came to how much they charged us and said Juan Carlos was in the restroom, for 1 hour... didn't seem right. As we were getting the paperwork printed and my husband start to get angry with the poor customer service, Juan Carlos came from the back along with his wife. We got our paperwork and left very disappointed with the end figures of our return. When I got home I immediately checked to the breakdown of cost and they charged us $550.95!!!!!! I could not believe they charged us half a grand for a simple return! We then went back to their office and requested or W2's back so we can find another way to file that we are comfortable with and that is honest (did I mention the owner called us within 1 minute after we left to ask why, LOL). We used Turbo Tax for $30 and saved $520.95!!!!! NEVER will I go back to them, they are friendly the first couple of times and then they get comfy and treat you like the "number" that you are to them. read more

I love me some Torres Income Tax. I know my taxes get complicated so I love that they ALWAYS WORK WITH ME. I've been doing my taxes with Torres Income Tax for 9 years, 6 at this location since it's closer to my Socal home. I keep coming back because I feel like my questions are answered and I get walked through the process so I understand. The first time I came they caught a deduction I missed on Turbo which helped offset what I ended up paying, so that kind of got me hooked. Plus they're super patient. I have shopped around before, much more in previous years and I keep an eye on going rates @ H&R Block and Liberty to know that its SO FREAKING HARD to find the good service PLUS a cheap price. At another tax place I just felt like I was going through the motions and just filling in the form but at least at TIT I feel like they really explained how to maximize my return AND were upfront about fees. But let me say, if you think name brand tax places aren't taking money out for your rapid refund you're being hustled and don't even know it. Each time Iliana takes the time to explain the difference between rapid refund and paying up front but waiting longer for your return, and depending how my year and how my income fluctuates kind of determines which one I want. Clearly if you get your money right away you end up paying more for that instant gratification - this is any place you go, how much though can vary, and I'm guessing that can throw some people off. I'm incredibly pleased with the service (and the price) I get which keeps me coming back. read more
